Nice deck, I usually don't play much priest, but I enjoy this one quite a lot - only played around rank 17 but still quite fun

I don't know what environment you can play in to maintain better than ~50% win rate with it. In my personal experience so far, that's optimistic. It's an entertaining enough deck to play, but Baku the Mooneater's benefit simply does not outweigh the benefits accrued from having access to even-mana cards.
I switched to playing a variant of this quest warrior deck build instead and am having much more success. It's also much less of a dust investment.
I've been using the same list as the one you linked and also having more success. -

Peyote posted a message on Good winrate Baku/Quest WarriorPosted in: Good winrate Baku/Quest WarriorThis deck doesn't work at all, it's too slow and can't cope with anything that is thrown at it. 80% is just completely wrong, it has just over 50% win rate on HSReplay.

Used Mind Control to steal a minion that he had somehow turned into a 20/20 (this was after he had played Twisting Nether). Made the fight much easier.

I managed to stole a few of his big minions using Mind Control and Entomb that really helped me to maintain his side of the board clear in between the turns the staff overpowers.
Thanks!

Took a few tries but felt like it was possible from game one.
I dusted Kel at the switch to standard so shoved in a Dr 7 for old times.

I didn't include them because I wanted to have better resurrection targets for the Onyx Bishop and Mass Resurrection.

Heh. I'd have to think about it! Baku is what makes this version work.

This is the only Warlock deck worth a darn in the current, post-Un'Goro Standard.
I've tried my own take on Zoo and Disco Zoo. I even tried tinkering with this build to personalize it.
For example, I opened Clutchmother Zavas and put her in the deck, and was forced to conclude that it really isn't as useful as Silverware Golem. I also really like Vicious Fledgling, but for some reason it proved too slow in practice.
Nothing has been better than this. Kudos for distilling this down.
Hopefully the day will come when other Warlock deck builds will be viable again.

Glad it did work out in the end!
Of all the Heroic challenges, this one is far and away the most difficult, and requires the most luck in your starting hand.
No escaping RNG on this one, sadly. But I'm hear to tell you from personal experience: 11 tries ... it could be way worse!

Terrific deck. Really fun to play, and there's almost no opponent that can't be beat.
The only card I don't own is Elise the Trailblazer. I replaced her with a Kabal Songstealer, which I might have done anyway. The Songstealer might be my favorite card from Gadgetzan; there's always at least one in every Priest deck I make.
I don't have the cards to play any of Quest Rogue, Quest Warrior, or Pirate Warrior.... This is the only deck I've been able to play past rank 15 since the Un'Goro launch, and it wasn't too hard, either. I can see easily pushing past rank 10 with it.
Well done, and thank you.

I have such modest goals. I don't have the time or money to devote to attempt ladder climbs past rank 10. (Even if you have a phenomenal overall win rate approaching 70%, that's still an insane number of games you have to play to climb, especially after rank 5 where you can't chain into additional stars.)
Honestly, I'm perfectly happy to reach rank 15 for a month's effort, and have never failed to do that within the first week of each new month, and with only a couple of hours extra effort past just fulfilling daily quests.
This month, just before Un'Goro launched, I had some terrible luck, and failed 4 times to win that one extra game that would have pushed me over the rank 15 hump.
Now, since Un'Goro, I've had the hardest struggle since ever in trying to just get beyond rank 18. (I fell all the way back to rank 19 when trying out my new decks.)
I've never seen such a rock-paper-scissors metagame before.
I've never been so good at predicting the outcome as soon as the hero matchup has been revealed. Forgone conclusions just ... suck.
Decks that I planned out for the new year have turned out to be jokes in the face of Quest Warrior and Quest Rogue. I'd rather face Pirate Warrior than either of these decks ever again. Yesterday, over the course of 11 games, all I faced were Quest Warrior and Quest Rogue. How is that even possible?!
In desperation, I've just today switched to playing only Face Hunter and Zoolock for ranked matches in an attempt to just get to rank 15. Am at 17 as I type this, after winning about 60% against Quest Rogue and about 33% against Quest Warrior. Probably won't be able to play again until tomorrow. Am starting to worry that even rank 15 is beyond me ... for the first time ever!

Not since Gadgetzan hit, no. Played it a lot up to then and did well.
What I've done since is to meld Jade Golems and C'Thun, and am having a lot of fun with that. Still experimenting with the build on it.

Terrific deck. Perhaps the single best budget deck I've ever seen. It is more than capable of running up the ladder, same as decks that cost 4 or 5 times as much dust.
I never would have thought to play any Dragon deck without Netherspite Historian ... but having played the deck a couple of dozen times now, I am hard pressed to conceive of any card substitution that would be worth making. It is practically perfect in every way.

So glad to hear it helped. Congratulations!
