It's been this way for a while now which is why I only play for daily quests these days. It's the effect of balancing the game way too much for it to be worth the time. They need to stop listening to the "community" so much and focus on having something that is fun to play for people who aren't part of the community which is the other 95% of the player base. Don't cater to whiny fuckboys. 

I'm really surprised people have an issue with this one. It's completely fine. I think it's just a psychological thing because it went up two mana when people are used to seeing things go up by one. Just a little sticker shock and everyone goes crazy.

The worst people in this thread are the ones who say they don't BM unless the opponent does it first. What a bunch of scumfuck virtue signaling liars. You guys know you BM sometimes for no reason just like everyone else. Either that or you try to make the tiniest thing into something the opponent did to you like take 3 extra seconds on their turn. No need to lie to yourself when you're behind an anonymous name. 

Yea I BM every once in a while. Sometimes for no other reason than I hate the class the opponent is playing at that particular moment. Emotions get the best of all of us sometimes.

Calm down there wannabe badass. There are countries in the world where  $80 is half their monthly income. Even in the western world 80$ are a lot of money for a good portion the population. I know that because because i was one of them as student. Now that i earn twice the average income of my country i can easily afford the bundle even if it had 3 times the price. Second of all the bundle isn't meant for people who don't make enough money to afford it. This is kind of how everything is in the world. Every fucking consumer product is this way. News flash, poor fucks aren't buying Lambos either. I seriously wonder how you people come up with your arguments.

The bundle is a good deal. I see nothing wrong with it and if I wasn't going to have at least 8K gold and close to 9K dust (all F2P) on release day I would do it. I don't care about cosmetic stuff, but I think 80 packs is the right amount for each expansion and that value is hard to pass up.

The best you can do is to turn it around with crowdfunding, but there is not much hope that will ever happen with a huge "successful" company like Blizzard/Activision, and it's especially unlikely with a game like Hearthstone since for some people it's about collecting stuff which basially would have to go since everything would be for free. Although I'm sure you could implement some sort of progression system like with the old adventures in which you got cards if you defeated bosses. Yes, I would really like to see that: Crowdfunding with some progression system. But how can this be achieved? Certainly not by "voting with your wallet". That's always the thing about "voting with your wallet": In the extreme case of noone speding anything anymore they would just abandon this project and that's it. So, is there really much choice if you want to keep the game alive? No, not much. Also think of the people behind it. The CEOs, etc. certainly wouldn't make much of a cut by themselves, but rather by some employees. It just doesn't work. It cannot work. The best you can do is to help other people as much as possible so they can also help other people and so forth until those making the game "are helped" in a way like crowdfunding, so they don't have to rely on "selling their shit". It's really the only way I can see it, even though it seems almost impossible, especially with the limitations of the current system. But I still have hope...

I agree that it adds a layer of strategy to the game. It is immensely unfun though and that's where the argument actually lies. Let's focus in the problem that people are actually complaining about.

After seeing some of the stuff the devs get called on these forums, I am not surprised they are not as community orientated.  I understand that if you are a game developer you need a thick skin, but if a dev came on to this forum, they would just get abused like hell because of the amount of salty people on here. If a dev came on here and wanted to communicate with this community about why there are players unhappy with the game, on these forums what would most likely happen is that instead of a calm discussion, it would turn into a barrage of toxic abuse. If Ben Brode came on to these forums and opened a discussion thread, well I don't think I can even say what I think he would get called on here.

I am unsure how anyone could believe a card that is played in only a very few decks on ladder would lead to the extiction of an entire archetype.

First of all, there always have been some very onsided matchups. Control warrior was played a lot in Naxxramas time, but freeze mage was still present on ladder. Same is true for Face hunter vs. midrange hunter (midrange hunter will nearly always lose).

I do admit that control decks have generally a harder time against Jade Druid (probably also against Jade Shaman), because of the increasing Value that the Jade Cards provide. However, I also think that this would be the case if Jade Idol wouldn't have the shuffling option. With all the Jade Cards you get to a 10/10 (and that's without a Trigger of Brann) and the Jade Golems get dangerous after being a 5/5. BUT, there are simply too few Jade Druids to push normal Control decks ("normal" in the sense of non-Reno decks). That is, if the control decks would work besides this matchup.

And that's the point. The reason why we do not see a lot of normal control decks is in my opinion notJade Idol , but another high value card that is actually played a lot on ladder: Kazakus . A normal control deck will have a very hard time to keep up with the value that this card provides. Playing him with brann in a control matchup gives two Kazakus spells which provide most often at least one AoE/removal and a board refill. On top of all the other removals and minions. A control warrior can only brawl two times in a game. That is usually not enough against a Reno deck. Additionally, two of the Reno decks have advantages over Warrior in terms of fatigue ( Entomb and Manic Soulcaster ). So even if Jade Idol would be nerfed, warrior would still rarely be played as a control deck, because he has a bad matchup with the Kabal as well.

OP's point, if I get it right, is that people in community bitches too easily, and with less than real reasons.

Foreword: I dislike Aggro Shaman (which is an abomination, mainly built with supposedly Midrange and even Control cards) and Pirate Warrior.

-> Yes, there's a problem with Pirate Warrior. Yes, there is a problem with Shaman if it can afford Pirates so easily, while eg Paladin can't.
-> Yes, Legend is overpopulated with Aggro, so all this requires some attention by devs.

But since the vast majority of players is NOT Legend, which is the only place where Aggro is too overspread, the most part of all the whining against Aggro is just bullshit. Whining just because. Just to complain about something, possibly as an excuse that relies of responsabilities.

Aggro is currently overestimated by non-Aggro players and over-bitched about, mainly by Reno players.
So many non-Legend players say the game is sealed at turn 1 because of STB. As if they could play nothing at all next turns. As if heals and taunts were not there.
You have no idea of how many Aggro matchups against Reno finish in a turn6 Reno and gg.

Too many Control players do not understand that Control can sometimes lose against Aggro.
Problem is that this happens far beyond the "unlucky card draw". Why?
Because Control are too often just Greedy players, and this game punishes greed very hard. More importantly, Greed IS NOT Control.
Control strategy MUST BE ADAPTIVE. They have to follow up, NOT to play their own big bad minions and combos and greedy stuff, as if the opponent was not even there! Because that is Aggro, but Aggro CANNOT be greedy (hardly any deck can)!

In other words, too many players think that the game should finish at turn 10. Ideally always.
Too many players want to play Control, but with an Aggro mindset.

But since there is no logic behind all the overreactions, I guess there is no point in trying to logically explain anything, so there's no point in this thread either...

 i think he saids dumb because its overcomplex. In that sense its right. If you are not a fan of chess you will never understand why people is soooo in the game. Same with video games and sport. If a person that only play online TCG because he likes have fun but not want to learn a game for actually make the money spend worth see Artifact the first thing that person will said is probably "this is so dumb as a concept, next"

That said this is very common in valve games. I dont why but Valve dont like the free to play community. I supposed its because their games are aimned for very specific public so they cant afford offers a free way to play their games but i kinda understand that because i dont see how Artifact or counter strike online will worth if this games dont force you to pay atleast one time.

Sometimes I wonder if your goal is to have conversations with people at all. More often than not it seems like your intentions might actually be to beat everyone you encounter into submission with uncommon words arranged in convoluted yet correct sentences as part of the fun (which in this instance the results undoubtedly are LUL)

If this is not the case, it would be much easier to get the point across if you use simpler language. This is a Hearthstone community after all.  Even the devs know that we are incapable of reading and nerfed fiery war axe accordingly!

Am I the only one who thinks blizzard is actually being more generous with the preorder this expansion? Normally, it would be just 50 packs for $50 right? Now you have more than one choice, they give you a free golden legendary and a skin.

I guess really the only people who would be mad about this are people who try to make themselves feel superior by being ftp, because they are actually wanting to preorder this time and are jealous. But if they pay blizzard any money, they can't whine on message boards about not getting the freaking skin they want.

Hearthpwn, pls help this community learn that tech cards are useful, but also that they are purposefully meant to lower your win rates against the other decks. 

Time and time again I see the reasoning used for players wanting devs to nerf cards that have tech cards available to help counter them, but that those players don't want to do that because they want the best of both worlds with no downside (ie they want to be able to soft/hard counter a specific deck AND they want to maintain the highest win rate achievable against everything else). Tech cards never have and will never be designed to work that way.
