I already played my share of DoD in the early 2000's (the abbreviation brings back fun memories). Jokes aside, I've been thinking of pre-ordering, just because of the Deathwing hero skin, but I'm not sure if it's really worth it to spend the extra money just for some pixels. I have quite some gold ready for buying the packs already. Would be my first pre-order since WotOG.
I already despise the newest edition of Secret Mage a lot. The deck got so many new tools in the newest expansion it just doesn't feel reasonable to play against it anymore.
My first and only time was about a year ago with Even Warlock. I rarely have the interest to grind all the way but that deck was doing so well I had to try.
Yeah, indeed. I feel like the nerf isn't going to change a lot. It makes it a bit easier for aggro decks against the Big Priest but that's basically it.
Yeah, I've been playing since the closed beta. I requested an invite as soon as I saw an announcement of the game. I played some MtG around 20 years ago and it's been nice to sort of come back to it. Although there are certainly aspects of the game that I don't enjoy that much, namely the mana system and its flaws. Or RDW. But limited is especially cool.
It's only R5, but I had great success with a Dragon Handlock build (79% WR from R15). You can use Omega Agent & Barista Lynchen as a finisher, but I don't think it's really necessary with aggro being prevalent atm.
Are there any decent controllish Warlock lists yet? It was the first thing I tried to homebreed when the new exp came, but without any real success. The different handlock variations I've tried don't really seem to get anywhere either. The lack of a powerful finisher is a real problem. Sure there's Rafaam, but he's so random, while Jaraxxus is very vulnerable against aggressive decks.
I've been on the verge of quitting ever since Mean Streets. However, I found myself really enjoying this pre-rotation meta we had, for the first time in years (probably since Karazhan), mostly because the lower power level and the feeling that you could actually play the game and have an impact on it with your actions, rather than it being just a slot machine. Have to wait and see how the new meta will turn out to be.
Patches is still included in Odd Rogue which is one of the better decks in the format. The rest don't see much play but some of them could still be viable like stated above.

Meanwhile in Wild 1/3 of matches are against Priest. You can guess the deck archetype.

I'm yet to lose against it with a non-bomb control warrior. Elysiana + Baleful Banker as an anti-bomb + fatigue package.
