Eleyoh87 posted a message on Control priest is garbage, LOL....Posted in: Standard FormatThat's exactly what a control deck is; your win condition is running the opponent out of their win conditions through disruption and (board) clears. This means knowing what deck you're playing against and how they intend to win. It's a passive playstyle but pro-actively passive - know what your opponent plays and what they could play the next turn should influence how you play your current turn. Sometimes taking 8 to the face and hold your clean the scene for the following turn etc.
The biggest problem for Priests right now is that several classes can do a LOT of damage from hand over 1-2 turns, and with limited taunt options and limited healing it's something they can't deal with too well.

Ophion-EU posted a message on 27.2 Patch Notes - Huge Battlegrounds Update, Wild Expansion, Twist Launch & More!Posted in: NewsHollow Hound - Deleted from the game.
Costumed Singer - A big nerf, but still good for sure.
Bioluminescence - A massive nerf, especially since Shaman often wants to play two on the same turn. This might completely kill that deck, the OTK might come so late that Rainbow Mage is a better choice.
Thaddius - Huge nerf, but I think Warlock will still need it just for the body.
Down with the Ship - A very minor buff, the nerfs to other decks will probably have more impact than this buff.
Mythical Terror - A big buff, but I still don't know what deck would want this.
Frost Lotus - Also a minor buff.
Disciple of Amitus - Big buff, though the deck has a long way to go.
Tyr - Also a big buff. It might even be playable outside of Earthen Paladin.
Astral Automaton - A decent buff. I still don't think it will see play.
Felstring Harp - A big buff. It might compete with Armor Vendor now.
Bladestorm - Another big buff, but I still think it's too awkward to use effectively.
Stoneskin Armorer - Not strictly a buff for all decks, but certainly a big one for anything more combo oriented.
Craftman's Hammer - A buff for Odyn, but also a nerf for cards like Shield Slam that care about your current armor.
Trial by Fire - A big buff, and a needed one. Warrior board clears kind of suck.

Zizka posted a message on Patch 26.4.3 Balance Changes Preview - Constructed and BGPosted in: NewsI’m sadly not joking:
Patch before: “Overall, the meta is in a pretty good spot right now,”
Patch before that: “Overall, we’re pretty happy with meta diversity and power in Standard right now
Normally it’s “overall” followed by a short a comma then a sentence which says that they’re happy with the current meta. Go figure.

parishbishop posted a message on Egg Warrior wins games!!!Posted in: General Deck BuildingSo, as a home brew deck builder, I always choose to play the worst class and try to make it work. Its a rough life, and I dont wish it upon anyone. LOL.
So this season I decided to play Warrior. Ive made many lists, some do okay , like Taunt/Control, but not okay enough.
Quest Warrior sorta works sometimes, but even with the new cards, its not great.
Ive played over 150 games of different ideas and present to you, Egg Warrior.
Its not a new idea, buts its an idea. Wins games early and theres a special swagger you earn by choosing to play the worst class in the meta. ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE how bad Warrrior is right now. "Theres no mana cheat in Warrior" is what No Hand Gamer said when asked why Warrior sux right now.
But maybe there is, in the form of Egg/Damage Warrior? Ironically, its NHG's Egg Priest that gave me the idea for Warrior.
The deck uses basic tempo setting up insane pressure with the weapon. Dont be afraid to play it on turn3, even without the buff to it.....I havent lost a game climbing from Diamond 10 to 5, today, feb 18 2023.

Literally 3 weeks ago we had a patch where 5 (Five!) legendary cards were nerfed.
But yeah they don't nerf cards because they would have to give a dust refund. LOL

Yeah this brawl is one of my least favorites...

Mental breakdown, it seems.

I really really hated all the Librams when they were around, woof. And currently I have an abject hatred for Lady S'theno -_-
AH! And who could forget pre-nerf The Caverns Below -________-

This exact thing has happened to me as well. I also think it's like what others on this post have said - that with Denathrius, it won't steal it if your opponent's Denathrius has infused further. I don't think it's a bug, but I also think it's silly that Harvester won't steal it anyway. I think it should be changed so that it will steal an infused Denathrius regardless of how much it has been infused.

i agree... and she was really just decent at best. maybe it was because of the synergy between her coins and naga?

I actually really like this card. It sucks to have your stuff stolen by him, but it's also often that if you run Theotar, you can steal it right back. It does make you have to alter the way you play to try to avoid getting hit hard by his effect, but I don't find it to be too different from Mutanus. Mutanus even develops a pretty threatening board presence too once his effect goes off, which Theotar does not.
There's also the flip-side to Theotar - you can't just play him whenever you want. You have to make sure your hand doesn't have your best cards in it because you might end up whiffing hard and giving your opponent part of your win condition.
Theotar is really strong, but I don't find it to be a card that's breaking the game by any means. It counters combo decks or decks that revolve around a single win condition, which historically have been nearly impossible to counter. I don't see anything wrong with that.

They were revealed alongside Spirit Poacher. https://www.hearthpwn.com/cards/1199010-spirit-poacher

I've been playing a highlander Druid deck which I've found is a great answer to Mech Mage. There's a lot of good control tools and throwing in Ambassador Faelin is tons of fun.
1
I don't find the deck to be that big of a deal either, until it comes to Mr. Smite + Shadowstep shenanigans. And since Mr. Smite is what most people dislike about Quest Warrior also, he might be the card to get a nerf. (maybe?)

They're not nerfing her. They're "redesigning" her.
