Sincere question from a somewhat noob, Is there a thread that I can find so I'm not doing bm emotes? I always say well played at the end of the match win or lose, but I would really like to know what the etiquette is for emotes. If someone could just point me in the right direction I'll see myself out :)
If you've just beaten someone I think any emote comes across as arrogant/cocky. I used to emote "Well Played" until it was obvious it was annoying people so now I only emote when I've played someone (usually hunters) who emote all through the game then simply emote "Thank You" when I deliver the final blow :)
Put Sneeds Old Shredder in my Priest deck for that value and for a little late game threat that dodges BGH.
Druid has a Ancient of Lore on board, finishes off my Sneeds and out popped Major Domo who gets swiftly BGH'd. I had 30 life, stripped down to 8, he innervates Rag for lethal.
See what you face a lot (use decktracker, it really helps) and use a deck that counters those. The meta is really random, but 51% winrate will still gain you ranks.
I think that's good in theory but in reality you climb with a deck, then by the time you've found it's not performing in the meta and switch to something that counters what you're facing you've fallen a good few ranks.
So now you're laddering with the deck you've switched to and it's going well, you've climbed back up to where you were, maybe even beyond that but the meta's shifted again and you start falling. By the time you've realised you should change deck you've fallen a good few ranks again.
Rinse and repeat.
Although your advice is sound, it's exactly what makes playing this season so frustrating because even if you're doing everything right it's still very grindy even at the lower ranks.
Having the same on EU... I'm not sure if the meta shifts very quickly but I find that I can play a deck for a day and climb a few ranks. The very same deck the next day will get curb stomped and back down I go.
I only manage 6-10 games a day so it's not a huge sample size but the grind this month seems far more difficult than previous months.
I have been trying out freeze mage on NA ladder recently but without much luck. I understand that its a difficult deck to pilot but pretty much all I seem to face are warriors, tempo mages and hunters. A couple of druid i faced ended up with Kyzan (using it correctly at lethal turn. Most of the other decks are running heabot which often makes Alex much less effective as well.
Just wondering if I have been having bad luck with matchups (10-15 rank) or in general ladder is not good place for freeze mage right now? The only good matchups i seem to have are warlocks (either kind).
You're better with a faster deck at those kind of ranks. Freeze mage is always viable (I think) but with people running Kezan and the like you may want to switch to a faster, less combo oriented deck.
I wish this site would remove all decklists and whatsoever, really.
Even inBrawl this week, everyone plays the same deck in the end because the average playerbase is just too dumb to build decent decks.
I have no problem with that, really. In fact it is all way easier for me, because the typical moron copy pastes the deck from this site and has no clue how to play the deck. This happens all the way until high ranks. I saw so many bad players at rank 5~, it's incredible. It's easy for me, because it's always easy climbing and you just know what the enemy is going to do. But it's becoming boring.
What is there to copy? You pick a class and put all the best spells from that class into a deck, with MAYBE a minion or 2. It's not rocket science. I've not looked at any decks on here for Brawl but I'm betting the Priest one I made will be on here somewhere.
Please for the love of god introduce discard into this dumb game, I am sick of facing godhand after godhand that faces 0 disruption of any kind. Just sit on your stupidly good hand and win. Dumb. Make this crazy variance stop.
Unless I'm being dense and not understanding you, we already have discard on Warlock cards.
Had the worst game against a Druid yesterday... I have lethal on board, I have 14 health so I'm dead to combo but luckily for me he only has 1 card in hand.
He draws his card at the start of his turn and then play Force + Savage for lethal.

Blizzard had better announce something pretty damn good after all these teasers, otherwise people will riot!

I feel your pain OP... I tweeted President Obama the other day asking for a 1 on 1 game of basketball and he still hasn't replied. Pretty rude.
If anyone on here knows how to get in touch with Obama let him know I want a game, thanks in advance.

Excellent, cheers man.

Tried Freeze Mage? It's what I usually turn to when the Face Hunters come out.

Good luck making it to turn 9 to play Nozdormu.
If it was a 6 mana card with lower stats it'd be a great counter but at 9 mana it comes too late to save you.

Have my +1... Long and enjoyable games with this deck, I can only imagine the person I'm playing saying "Not another bloody heal" :)
