I dunno, if a post is really shitty it would have a lot of comments saying basically the same. Though maybe the first person downvoting should say something, just to provide feedback.
While whole "downvote" thing isn't fun (I like upvote only mechanics more), silent downvote for decks is just depressing. If people at least required to write downvote comment, that wouldn't be so bad.
Was trying to play Cursed Disciple as the only 4- creature, to recruit it and to finish quest asap, but it was really highrolly. Finished quest as fast as t5, t6 Barnabus into t7 weird shit, but sometimes took it up to t10 barnabus..
So now I'm trying to play King Mukla, he is good recruit too, and tempo play t3, with additional recruiter t5 (wasn't playing it cuz deck was thinned too fast, ended up with draw spells in hand and empty deck).
I also incorporated Malygos OTK into the deck. It's highroll too - better if drawn after barnabus. But now the deck has OTK potential without combo cards being useless.
I have easy answer to all this "why" threads - don't whine, experiment. Don't trust people who say that cards are bad and meta decks won't be challenged with something new. Not all decks are found, not all new archetypes are refined.
I, myself, play recruit quest druid with malygos finisher at ladder and it fucking rocks. Thank god no one playing same against me. And I don't think that's the only deck that will emerge with this expac.
Am I the only person who don't understand WHY THIS IS EVEN THE ISSUE?
People lose from not using new cards, because some new cards is just a perfect fit into existing archetypes (i'm not even saying about new ones). If you play new cards and you have play-to-win mentality, your winrate must be higher.
If people would use only old decks on tournaments when new MTG set releases I would thank them for gg ezy gaem, try new cards instead.
Because they recruit SPECIFIC SUBSET of minions. You can't play Y'Shaarj if you play doomsayer, but you can play this and put 2-3 big dragons. You can also put just 12/12 dragons and that's 14/16 stat for 9 minimum, maximum is drawing Deathwing and getting it on board with second deathwing.
So far I've tried two legendaries, both druid ones.
Twig is good if you draw it early and isn't forced to play something t4. Basically, you invest t4 to get 18 mana turn8. I see no reason to play Medivh on top - it doesn't speed up the process (except you double innervate into it).
Ixilid is very good in quest druid. Got 0-mana stuff? Well, now you have twice of it :)
While it may sound good, quest doesn't need that much dedication to "how to win after completing quest?", rather to "how to complete and not to die in process". Trust me.
First I was sceptical about Ixilid in quest, but I got it from pack and gave it a shot. It is VERY good in quest: it's both good as 5 mana and 0 mana. You can duplicate The Lich King either way :D

I'm having fun playing HS now, so agree so much with the OP. Playing new deck and against fresh new decks. Totally worth the money.

3/5 is minimum balanced statline. 6/5 stats if played (more than default 5/5), but requires minion on board.

I'm still experimenting with the deck.

Only 4-mana minion is Cursed Disciple, then you do the quest, throw Barnabus and your recruit hit every minion. Grizzled Guardian can pull other Grizzled Guardian, and have very good chances to pull other big taunts.

This weapon is a real buff of rogue vs druid matchup. Tempo rogue played it against me t4 :/

Maybe not everyone bought pre-release, got a lot of gold and opened relevant cards for their decks?
I myself played cataclysm handlock and recruit quest druid so far, and met A LOT of new decks.. ranks 19-16 :D

Cross-linking to my barnabus recruit thread -- it is very relevant.
