The pnöy reason they want to nerf stb over patches is the 1600 dust refund. That card doesnt difer to much from cogmaster or blood imp.
But a 0 mana 1/1 charge that draws a card is way to good imo. Also it generates a terrible luck based game were its decicive if its in your starting hand or not.
I disslike pirates but i disslike patches realy way more than stb.
Also why nerf anything before outrotation?!? That doesnt make any sense. Just removing totem golem and tunel trogg + dragons and finley out will severely hurt most agro decks there is no need making a nerf yet.
if new set hits and after outrotating pirates are stil dominant they stil can nerf those.
Furthermore Kibbler is just right in saying cheap weapons are broken. Because they represent way to much face damage. 6 or even 9 damage for 1,2 mana is rediculous with possible ability to remove board.
the only good thing in this interview is that ben didnt say a thing about arena and i realy hope they leave arena as it is... standard arena wuld suck balls just because Some cards will have such an insane draft % and only 1 firelands like card can easyly destroy the whole gamebalance there when you could draft it like 5 times in 1 run.
Their completely retarded when they dont see that problem.
Leave arena as it is.

Unless they have changed their nerf policy, there is no limit to the dust received. You are thinking of the refund policy for moving cards to Hall of Fame.

Woo, time to dust those 5 Patches (1 golden) I had been saving. Can we also do something with Finja? I have 3 of him sitting around as well.

Not sure how this went 12-2... Gorehowl was often 7 damage to the face to end games.

I had a 12 win run that got a non-golden common as well, was pretty anti-climatic.

While I do think there should be some kind of reward to playing a longer drawn out game, I am not sure this is the way to do it. The problem in itself is the ranking system. Other than the treasure chest, there is no real incentive to grind every month. The fastest way to your golden epic (or legendary status for the month) is aggro. Perhaps some kind of win-rate reward instead? Need a minimum amount of games played, but the higher your win rate, the more rewards you get at the end of a season? That would benefit control decks in my mind.

Due to popular opinion concerning the new Rogue Quest, Rogue has been removed from the game until further notice.

I really don't like commenting when I don't have something constructive to say, but this rebalancing just looks awful. I see you are trying to tone down the 3 and lower drops while adding to the later drops in a hope that the game becomes slower, but slow games goes against their design philosophy of a game that is quick, easy, and can be played anywhere.

You would then have to add timers for your actions on an opponents turn, which means a new form of roping, and even longer games. Remember, Hearthstones fundamentals is a game you can play on the go that is fast paced and quick in nature. You'd be adding a lot of complexity to the system and really going against everything they have built the game upon.
Really, if you like M:TG system better, go and play M:TG.
