Freeze is a control deck -- you have to waste almost the entire game doing nothing and hope you can draw or pull all of the pieces to make it work. I love the deck type but more often than not it can fail.

Cool. When is Truesilver Champion going to be nerfed? Or Fireball?I mean, every single Mage deck is basically a fireball deck. I suppose it's worth nerfing. -

dccm posted a message on Card Nerf - Blade FlurryPosted in: Card DiscussionCombo Druid and Oil Rogue both had win conditions that depended on exactly 2 cards when opponent was about half HP. Both got eliminated from the game, seems fair. If i do the math right, the rogue could pull of the combo well before 9 and both classes have lotuses as well.
..I could've sworn I just saw you compare combo Druid to Oil Rogue. Do you actually think they're even REMOTELY similar? I don't think you could've picked 2 more different decks if you tried.First of all, to pull of the "exact 2 card" combo, Rogues need a board presence (a target for the Oil) not to mention that they have to COMBO IT, effectively making it a 3-card combo (which it usually is anyway, if not 4, or 5). Secondly, the target for Oil is random, you're not guaranteed anything. Thirdly, Rogues use a Blade Flurry (or 2) for purely board clearing purposes ten thousand times more often than a Druid uses FoN or SR for removal. Fourthly, Druids have exactly 14 damage for 9 mana with no board using 2 cards, for a Rogue to do 14 damage with their "two card combo" they'd need..1: another card to combo the Oil (if it's a minion without charge, you're taking a chance that the oil misses) and the Oil itself (card count: 2)2: a minion with 3 or more attack on board, that survived from last turn or has charge (effectively making this a 3-card combo at this point)3: a 2 durability weapon (you have to pay 2 mana for it either the turn before or this turn)and 4: a Blade Flurry (assuming you haven't had to use both for AoE). This adds up to 4 (your weapon) + 6 (your minion) + 4 (Blade Flurry), equating to 14. A hell-of-a-lot more complicated than FoN+SR.That's 4 cards, not counting the Preperation you likely had to use to combo the cards. It's extremely difficult to count the mana that this could cost, as there are hundreds of ways you can pull this off (yet it's never as easy as it sounds), whereas the Druid has 2 cards, 9 mana, and 14 damage (or exponentially more if they have even a single minion). I could go on and on about the differences, but I gather that you probably don't play a lot of Rogue so it doesn't mean anything to you.Edit: FIFTHLY, Oil isn't even in Standard, and Standard is the reason they nerfed combo in the first place. SIXTHLY, Blade Flurry is a worse Arcane Explosion by itself, whereas FoN is okay and SR is crazy if you have at least 2 minions. Like I said, I'd go on but these are the main points.TLDR; What I'm saying is, justify it all you want, but Blade Flurry was a lot less problematic than at least 50% of the cards that are still alive and well in this game. And never, NEVER compare Oil Rogue to combo Druid. The skill gap of those 2 decks could not be any larger, and the play-style could not be any more different. -

I've played a fair bit of Midrange Hunter in standard so far, and here are my thoughts.
C'Thun Warrior can counter it pretty well. They have tons of removal, decent bodies to contest the board, and Ancient Shieldbearer can easily take the game away from the Hunter. Patron/Tempo Warrior can also be pretty infuriating to play against, but not a super bad matchup.
Any form of Shaman is often a bad matchup too. They are really good at taking the early board with Tunnel Trogg and friends, and once you lose the board against Shaman, you lose the whole game since you don't have a good board clear in Hunter. Against Aggro, even if you manage to take back the board, you are probably within burn range.
