This time, for me, blizzard just made the worst move of the existence of hearthstone. I'm like some of the other, i'm out. Enough is enough.

lv426a11 posted a message on New Weekly Quest RequirementsPosted in: General DiscussionI was having a think about the new quest requirements and I feel there might be some longer term negative knock-on effects, particularly because they require you to win.
1) If we assume most people are mostly free to play, these quests are the main source of "income" for new cards for most players. If you don't complete them you can't compete because over time your available cards will decrease.
2) if you can't compete you stop playing - it's no fun losing becase you dont have the cards to compete, and doing something which isn't fun over and over just be able to remain moderately competetive isn't sustainable. Some people will spend money on the cards, but given the overwhelmingly negative feelings associated with this change I feel that most people wont.
3) if you stop playing there are fewer players and therefore more bots/longer queues.
4) The requirement to win will gradually force people to play meta decks, because home-brew decks just don't cut it anymore. This reduces deck diversity in the game even more than it already is, because now you have to play meta decks to have a collection which stays relevant. A non-meta deck likely requires 20+ games to win 10. That's a lot of games in one week just for standard. Add in the other weekly quests which may also require you to tweak a deck (and the daily quests which may not complete at all with your current deck) and you're looking at 40+ games a week. Not a lot to some, and a huge number to others. Many of these games could involve playing modes or decks you dont enjoy just to complete the quest. For me the "win 5 brawls" quest already felt like a ball-ache depending on the brawl. We've also seen people throwing games just to complete the quests - excellent design on Blizzards part.
5) If you don't have the cards to make the meta decks you end up back at point 1, because winning is very hard outside meta decks.

Keema posted a message on Update on Weekly Quests - Quests Will be Easier to CompletePosted in: NewsTotally agree, any increase in difficulty would suck, in my humble opinion. Some people do not have time to grind for hours, and quests are the main way to progress your account. The alternative is uninstalling, sadly.
I get that they are trying to force more engagement, presumably people are abandoning the game, or at least playing less (maybe that's why we have so many bots). But this is not the way.

DatMageDoe posted a message on Update on Weekly Quests - Quests Will be Easier to CompletePosted in: NewsAm I wrong in saying this fast a turnaround implies they anticipated this response and planned around it? Sure, this isn't exactly a groundbreaking thing to predict happening. But it feels like it was planned - the numbers chosen were intentionally ridiculous because we'd riot no matter what. Then afterwards they change it to their desired endgame goal numbers, and we smile because "It's better now!"
Live service games like Hearthstone are the biggest victims of not respecting players' time. Hearthstone already somewhat did - you didn't need to log in daily for the maximum XP gain and weeklies were easy enough to complete. Not any longer...

Hopefully the last step for me to finally quit this crap. Till now i was still loitering around because i invested too much time to build my collection. I just need a kick in the ass to quit. Maybe this will be the kick.
If its bli$$ard$ intention to coerce players into investing money into this lottery game, they will fail. At least regarding me.

1. My opponents ALWAYS draw him and most of the time they are also able to make him dormant again.
2. Are you really sure that you played almost 1,2 matches per hour non stop the last 7 days? If yes, you got more severe problems than that.

Thank you masters. Now i know that i only need to waste all of my time, every day, every week, to get those AWESOME rewards! Just lousy 20 days. I just canceled my easter vacations and the family gathering, so i can finish this event, because this mighty indy company pulled another one. And do you know WHY they pulled it? Because of people like YOU, who jump into the line of fire and defend this poor company, everytime they try to rip us off. And you KNOW they coerced so many kids and wannabe whales to craft that card or buy the season pass because of this.
You guys changed my life and from this point onward, i will sacrifice my life to this multi billion dollar RNGsus.
This is a reply to all those:
"
If you do the second 200 exp quest every day you get enough exp to get the complete stuff.
No need for the legendary, no need for crying. -.-"
"You know you can very easily complete this event while not completing the challenges right? It's not that hard to do."
"I like how HS community only know how to complain, but not checking any possible way to work-around."

So its true. The player base is declining and they force everyone to play against total beginners who get a top deck. Bots galore! Yay!

i just played a crap random deck for finishing the "play x weapons" quest. i added all random weapons and all random cheap cards and stonebrew for the lolz. i won a couple of times just thanks to stonebrew. esp. the shuttercrap variant is basically an instant win if you play it right. prediction: ill get down voted hard by ultra fanbois. edit: i just realized, in this section you cant get down voted. but you know what i mean. :)

Wow, they killed a unique priest deck in a meta where priest doesnt even matter, because all the absurd overpowered decks whined because they didnt get an instant win. Pathetic.
Every class getting 234329578438754386543756437564375643756 armor. Wheres the problem?
Priest getting some armor in a very unique deck. THIS CANT BE ALLOWED!
While all other classes also can outheal every priest without penalty.
edit: fanbois down voting facts in this discussion is so absurd and funny at the same time.

I got a solution for that, nerf priest! /s

I got my data from them and that data was plenty. But there was zero data about if and how often i reported someone or if i got reported by someone, so i ask myself how effective and valid the ingame botting option might be, since they definitely cant check every report in real time.
Which leads me to my second thought. What prevents bots to report players after a match and how does blizzard deal with this potential flood of reports?
So is the report option valid? If yes, why dont they list in in the GDPR report and how do they handle potential reports from bots?
What are your thoughts?
