There is no reward for beating it under 30, it's 40 minutes and 1 hour. I did it in 11 minutes with my 20/20 BFF.

This thing is completely broken! If you are offered it, pick it!
When you play the card, it merges with any other copy from your deck and hand, gaining it's stats (and it also draws new cards to replace the ones from your hand). Initially it's just a 1/1, but it stays in your decks from now on for new runs, regardless of what hero you pick next (that's what the "FOREVER" part means).
So, what you want to do next is to pick shaman and use Duplatransmogrifier on it during that run until you have at least 20 copies of Best Friend Forever on your deck. It can go past 20 during a run, but it goes back down to 20 on your next one.
And now you have a turn 1 20/20 with charge and taunt for the rest of your runs. You will most likely start with a copy of it in your hand since you have 20 of them in the deck and will basically kill every boss in 2 turns, except for the last one or that cheater with Naturalize.

I've been playing mostly control warrior this expansion to fight aggro but got a bit tired of it and decided to try Da Undatakah + Mecha'thun warrior. Since I've just crafted Da Undatakah and started playing this combo, I'm not yet completely familiar with the interactions. I came around one that got me a bit confused on how it's actually supposed to work and my googling skills are failing me.
In the middle of this game I ended up picking a Mechanical Whelp without considering the implications for the combo and when I finally played Da Undatakah it got both deathrattles (Mecha'thun + Mechanical Whelp, in that order). When I killed Da Undatakah, it ended up killing my opponent anyway, but I'm not sure if it happened because of the order he picked the deathrattles and Mecha'thun's happened first, or because the game processes the deathrattles before any summon from them actually hits the board. I think this should work the same way as if I had Mecha'thun plus another minion with a summoning deathrattle on the board and killed them at the same time, but I'm also not sure on how this interaction works. Can someone clarify this to me to help with future mech discover choices?

How is that the intended interaction? He just said Nefariam killed himself and the game ended, that's not the intended interaction at all. The correct would be, as you mentioned, that he wiped the board, but remained as the only minion there. If it happened that way and the game ended it is obviously a bug.

Man, there is something about getting Togwaggled + Azalina while having Mecha'Thun, 2 Galvanizers and Bloodbloom in your hand, swapping the decks for a hail mary tap and getting your Cata to finish the druid 2 turns later! Having fun with the deck so far!

This nerfs are a good indication of how bad and unimpactful the last expansion was considering it came right after the rotation.
None of the nerfed cards are from the latest expansion.
