With this list's card draw having been weakened by the removal of Book of Specters, I'm a little worried about our ability to consistently draw Vol'jin and Rat on time. What are your thoughts on the following suggestions?
-Solarian, -Doomsayer, -Mad Scientist, +Arcane Intellect (OR bring back Book of Specters, if we're comfortable with risk), +Witchwood Piper (which will now either tutor Zephyrs or Rat, now that we've eliminated most of the other 2-drops), +Boompistol Bully (if you drew one of the more expensive disruption tools (Vol'jin, Mutanus), but not Rat, and need to stall for time against an opponent who generated their quest reward early (but hasn't played it yet)).
Cutting Void Shard for Plague of Death is indeed an intriguing choice; I take it you're facing a lot of lategame board flood-oriented matchups? (more so than aggro/combo?)
However, Void Shard's attractive benefits (as listed below) make me hesitant to remove it... (1- It's yet another useable 4-drop that can be played on curve to progress the questline, regardless if you're targeting a minion or face, 2- And it has synergy with Xyrella on turn 8/beyond)
Anyways, FYI, I'll tentatively cut out Potion of Madness (to make room for Dirty Rat); would love to hear your thoughts on this.
As ever, it's always a pleasure/privilege to watch you deckbuild on this site! :)
Apart from my appreciation (for how you've beautifully combined the new expansion Priest questline with the classic highlander (and Nzoth) shells, along with including both Illucia and Mutanus for anti-combo tech), I do have two suggestions.
#1: Which card could we cut out to replace with Dirty Rat? (since in this meta, there's no such thing as too much anti-combo tech)
#2: And if it becomes urgent that we draw Dirty Rat on time (by turn 4-6) to shut down Questline opponents, should we also replace another card with Witchwood Piper? (which not only is a 4-drop, but also has a 50/50 chance of tutoring either Zephrys or Rat) Or is our Questline's tutoring ability reliable enough? (to not need Piper at all)
But do you know which two cards are expendable enough to replace with Dirty Rat and Illucia? Until Blizzard steps up to nerf the new expansion's overpowered questlines, we need to have answers against the opponent's combos. (And I would have suggested Mutanus too, but the questlines are so ridiculously fast to the point that they can finish before turn 7)
Congrats on bringing back attention towards a (largely overlooked) archetype! Hopefully, in a couple more expansions, Big Warrior gets the same treatment as Handbuff Paladin did (eventually rising to a probable Tier 2/possible Tier 1 deck!)
Lady Prestor is another card you might want to consider including, considering she transforms your "good stats and low mana cost, but inconvenient effect" minions into potentially more valuable Dragons. :) (and then include Wrathion too, to get some massive card draw going after the fact)
FYI, just piloted a variation of your list (replacing Torrent with Kazakus), and now recently managed to farm enough Secret Mages to Legend. Turns out getting two 5/5 lifesteal golems (for just one card) is insanely useful/critical!
Possibility of including Mindrender Illucia? (in order to steal and prematurely play Plot Twist (or Soularium) from Stealer of Souls OTK matchups on Turn 5, or Turn 4 with coin; plus, we probably should consider that Mechathun Warlock is also making its comeback)
Quick question: Since Baleful Banker is now gone (from your list's current iteration), what's the new "second card" to remove? (for the Finley Wizard combo)
Out of curiosity, how often has the second Wildfire screwed you over? (e.g. when you desperately needed to play your highlander cards early, but couldn't because you couldn't draw even a single Wildfire in the early turns)
And what are your thoughts on Dirty Rat, Hecklebot, and Arcane Keysmith?
But criticism aside, good job on combining two nonmeta archetypes together; and good luck with your ongoing deckbuilding/laddering efforts!
Okay, new idea: Tinkmaster Overspark! He's yet another addition that potentially tips the scales against Handbuff Paladin, Big Priest, and Renolock! (though the inconsistent targeting is rather cumbersome to imagine)
Edit: You know what? Silly me, I forgot that original Nzoth exists, lol (and might be more fruitful than DMF Nzoth considering that both Rattlegore and Kargath can be revived)

Another important aspect of the Flurgl + Toxfin combo is that it ignores your opponent's Loatheb. :)

Noted, thanks!

Thanks for the gracious reply! Current update: testing replacing Nzoth with Dead Man's Hand, second Zephyrs and Reno saved my butt, lol.
