I think there should be extensive achievements that yield rewards. Something like play 1,000 murlocs and you get 200 gold or free arena run. Nothing outstanding but many tedious achievements could encourage people to play with more variety, especially if there were "ranked achievements."
Like win 10 ranked games without playing a jade card lol. Idk, something to spice up the ranked experience.
Also SithLordofSalt: useless comment.
So, useless, just like this thread?
That depends on your perspective. I think it's great to discuss (constructively, without loads of salt) how a game can be improved, whether it's mechanics, strategies, player experience, achievements, etc. But if you find a discussion useless, don't partake in it. Not very constructive to condemn those that have thoughts to share on the subject.

Well there are 2 formats now- Wild & Standard. Standard uses only card sets from recent 2 years (but can always use basic/classic cards) and Wild can use anything.
For now, maybe save some gold for the new Un'goro expansion coming in a couple weeks?
With Jade Idol you can't die from fatigue and they cost 1. Malorne and Infernos cost 7 and 2 mana and you CAN die from fatigue damage. That's the difference my friend. Same goes for the new Warlock quest that gives you permanent portal with 3/2 Imps. It requires a lot of setup and they do not grow above 3/2 and you can die from fatigue, too. So yes I would say Jade Idol IS infinite value.
True, I understand your point but games are not decided by fatigue in the meta- not since fatigue mage/priest/warrior were top tier.
Well what is the main thing you are looking for when you build a deck?
You look for: win conditions, mana curve, and synergy. Tribes allow for specified synergy that target a small group of cards, similar to combo decks. This is generally (for most people) fun to build. As far as playing the actual deck, it might get annoying to see same tribe but it also makes them predictable and you should already have an advantage of knowing what plays are coming.

3 Reno Mage decks in a row in CASUAL WILD.
I just don't understand. Why not just use those decks in casual standard?

I remember typing 5318008 into my calculator...but then it was old news after a day.
Same effect happens here.

Well, Malorne had infinite value too...in a way Lord Jaraxxus has infinite value...
so that's not the problem. maybe blizzard knows what will come of new metas because they have plans for certain cards.
be patient before asking for nerfs. seems to be everyone's favorite hobby on this site.
