This is a really high tempo card, and it's better than Foxy Fraud, because if you're playing this and then a taunt, this is more likely to survive and give you a second discount.

I'll be mighty surprised if this doesn't see constructed play, perhaps as a tech for aggro mirrors. Trading into this thing is awkward, but you have to, you HAVE to, or those grunts will ruin you.

Battleforce posted a message on Horde OperativePosted in: Horde OperativeWait what? Self sharpening sword is still in rotation, its a year of the phoenix card. Nitro-boost poison is the one going out ( still playable but corrupting a 2 mana card for aggro rogue a little tough).

Chococo posted a message on Primordial ProtectorPosted in: Primordial ProtectorWow this card is really good for two reasons:
1. Its a card draw mechanic available for any class.
2. Seems pretty powerful cause you don't even have to build your deck around this: it draws your highest cost card, its not random, so the value is guaranteed.
I really like the card, seems really good, specially for classes that historically lack card draw, like priest or shaman. The one downside is that is slow, and the minion you get is random, so you may die if you're not safe enough when you play it.

Wow, Hunter is getting a lot of good draw options between this expansion and the core set. A lot of it is tutor too. This opens up some more deck-building options.

With Edwin gone though, what 3+ cost cards are you trying to cheapen with this? I can't see this in weapons rogue, and Whirlkick and Evil Miscreant are rotating, so while this card looks pretty good, what viable deck would you run it in?

It needs 3 poisons to out-scale self-sharpening sword though, because a 2/4 weapon is 2 less damage than a 1/4 that increases each use. I still think self-sharpening is better.

This is definitely the better watchpost, and yeah, its synergy with Rally is insane. It is a solid 3 drop that creates 2 drops, so you don't even need many other minions to have a decent rally.

I had that thought too. Priest can res and duplicate the 3 mana watch post (the better one IMO). Then, the 10 mana combo is this followed by Mindbender Illucia for a board full of 5/5's that the opponent can't clear.

This card is going to be in so many compilations, but it seems kind of bad from a serious standpoint. I might run it anyways though. For the memes!

Secret Mage might finally have enough cards to be a thing. Playing the draw 3 secret on 3 and this on 4 is a big tempo play. Alternatively, the 2 mana draw a 0 cost secret could set up for this card to be coined out on turn 3.

I don't get it. I see people saying that you play this on 10 mana crystals to ruin combos, but you'd need both of then for that affect. No, this card is meant for aggressive decks to keep their opponents from stabilizing for a vital extra turn or two.

Actually, using Wandmaker, you could guarantee getting a large spell out of your deck turn 5. Alternatively, you could run a Quest and just not play it until turn 5 to activate the combo.
