Hmm, run big minions + secrets, then use Azalina Soulthief to get rid of overpriced secrets from your hand and Prince Liam to get rid of remaining secrets in the deck that you were not going to play anyway. The Unsecret Paladin!

posted a message on How do you deal with constant bu@#$%it?

I always struggle around those ranks too when I fall down. I'm thinking the climb from 15 to 10 is harder than 10 to 5. I'm currently at 5 myself, feel free to add me if you want a buddy to climb with (R3N3G4D3#1601), I find it more fun than soloing ladder.

Odd Rogue is a good deck, but I've been seeing fewer of them lately. Not sure if they're getting hard-countered by something else. I'm running Odd Paladin myself right now, with Spell Hunter as alternative when I get bored. Here are other decks I see often between ranks 5-10:

    • Quest Warrior
    • Taunt Druid
    • Odd Paladin
    • Zoolock
    • Even Shaman
    • Shudderwock Shaman
    • Spell Hunter
    • Quest Priest
    • Big Spell Mage
    • Odd Rogue (although not as common)

I also recommend against switching decks unless your deck is not competitive, you're much better off playing one deck really well than multiple decks so-so.

Also, a couple other tips (and reasons why you should pick a single deck to master):

    • Tweak your deck slightly from the common net decks, you want an element of surprise, a card the opponent doesn't know how to deal with (this also prevents you from getting bored of the deck without switching to a deck you're less skilled with)
    • Use hsreplay.net to understand variations of your deck, study them, figure out the following:
      • What are the best mulligan cards
      • How do others play them (watch the streams)
      • How are win rates affected by each card, sort the decks and compare them. For example, I can tell you from studying Odd Paladin that adding a second Vinecleaver to the deck increases deck win rate by about 1.5%, you also get 1.5-2% for each Corridor Creeper (The top performing Odd Paladin version uses 2 of each and has 60% winrate, the average Odd Paladin deck only sees 54% winrate).

posted a message on New Legendary Shaman Card Reveal - The Storm Bringer

Ok, I agree that this card is bad, but... the joke about it summoning 7 Lorewalker Cho's was only mildly cute the first time it was made, and only to those who don't see that joke made in every single card reveal of every expansion that has the words "random" and "legendary" in its description. Since every 3rd poster in this thread seems to think it's their duty to point out that it could summon a board full of Chos and Pagles, here is a list of all legendary cards in the game: http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/card-category/rarity/legendary/?st=&manaCost=&format=wild&rarity=88&type=89&class=&set=&mechanic=&race=&orderby=ASC-name&view=gallery

As you can see from that card list, most of the time it will be something better than Cho/Pagle, and it will definitely be better than the random totem it's replacing. Yes, if you have 7 giants on board and you play that, you'll probably get a downgrade, but in that case you're a moron.

The only way I can see this card played without getting pwned due to tremendous tempo loss is if Grand Archivist casts it. Hopefully you have more minions on board when he does.

Zillax wouldn't be unlimited, you'd be able to play at most 3 (only your original copy will be discounted by the battlecry).

This is just Lackey's bigger brother, doesn't deserve to be a legendary.

One thing to note,  this works with opponent's Augmented Elekk too, so this can technically be used to tech against rogues that play Elekk + Academic Espionage combo, which we'll probably see a lot.

Interesting how they chose to use the word "generator" (генератор) to describe the card in Russian instead of Dynamo (динамо).
