posted a message on Top Five Highest Win-Rate Witchwood Decks

The top deck is Odd Paladin and it completely contradicts your statement. Half the cards that every pally build ran in last meta can't even be used in this deck (Knife Juggler, Call to Arms, Equality, Dire Wolf Alpha, etc.). The class may be the same, but it's a lot more than 1-card change. The only decks that didn't really change much imo are Cubelock and Midrange Hunter.

posted a message on Legendary Tier List & Crafting Guide

I preordered Witchwood, got 6 legendaries from it, but mostly the gimmicky ones that don't allow me to build decent decks: both Druid legendaries, Emeriss, Azalina, Toki, and Countess Ashmore. I have 1800 dust from HoF, and can get about 2k more from dusting duplicates from Witchwood.

The only playable deck I can make right now is midrange hunter, and even that doesn't seem to be doing that great in the new meta. I know the meta hasn't settled yet, but I'm debating crafting Baku because odd decks (especially odd pally, which would only cost me 2500 dust to finish) seem to be doing well. Do you suggest holding off (and in effect not being able to play the game competitively for the next week or two) or does Baku seem like a safe craft?

My current hearthpwn collection isn't updated with Witchwood cards because I only have access to my macbook for next few days and Innkeeper doesn't work on it.

If Deadeye was available outside arena, the hero power issue would be solved and control would probably be possible.

I've been playing face hunter almost exclusively for the last 2 months. While I love Tundra Rhino, it will almost never stay on board for more than a turn unless you're playing rank 25. Simply put, your opponents aren't idiots, only 1 or 2 chickens you happen to play on the same turn you  put the rhino out will benefit from this. With that said, the one turn might be good enough, but I doubt you'll get that +5 attack. To me this sounds like Scalebane, scary on the surface, but gets removed too fast to do real harm.

I agree with Zumwanna, they may have fixed D3 from the crap it initially was, but it's not the same type of game as D2 at all. D3 is for people who want D2 experience but their ADHD prevents them from playing videogames for more than 5 minutes at a time.

I wonder if this can be used in Big Priest deck to fish out Lady in White early and make turn 7+ hell for opponent.

Mage secrets are 3 mana, you get to discover and equip the secret you want AND put 2-2 body on board for 4 mana (without even needing to have that secret in your deck). How is this bad?

posted a message on Kingsbane Rogue - dead in Standard on Apr 12?

I've been pondering about the same with my friend over the last 2 weeks, hoping to see better support for Kingsbane. The two main blows dealt to the deck that already had under 50% win rate are disappearance of Southsea Squidface and Coldlight Oracle. Based on the introduced cards, however, I do believe we now have the Oracle problem partially solved, although the solution is situational (in same cases it may be worse, in other superior to Coldlight).

Basically, between Sonya Shadowdancer, Dollmaster Dorian, Elven Minstrel, and Cursed Castaway we may have the draw problem solved, assuming the first 2 stay on the board long enough (until you can benefit from playing 1-mana versions of the minions over and over - this is the situational part, because your opponent isn't a moron). The problem is that they only thin the deck, but don't draw the buffs to the Kingsbane directly. Moreover, in its current state, the Kingsbane is likely to max out around 5-3, not impressive.

What's missing now is an additional buff to Kingsbane, preferably a combo-based one, or deathrattle-based, so you can draw it via Cursed Castaway or Roll the Bones. While most of the Rogue cards have already been introduced, I'm optimistic that Blizzard may in fact introduce such a buff (it may or may not be in this expansion). Why am I so sure? Because there is a Kingsbane alternative that similarly seems to be missing the last ingredient, the same exact ingredient in fact.

This alternative is Spectral Cutlass that was recently introduced. It too needs such buff to stay competitive, and Blizzard has already released support for it, such as Countess Ashmore. This to me seems a hint that such buff is coming later this year. I also want to note that while the missing ingredient is the same, I do not see Cutlass and Kingsbane in the same deck, because they're powered differently. Kingsbane is powered via Miracle mechanic, Cutlass is Burgle-based. However, I do believe Cutlass may become the next iteration of Kingsbane, as a win condition for Burgle archetype, which has historically been seen more as a meme, but seems to have gotten a bit more support in current expansion.

Because lifesteal is an effect you add via Leeching Poison. It will, however, draw Spectral Cutlass.

Might be useful in a Hunter deck, where we take whatever AoE we can get. requires setup beforehand with Unleash the Hounds or something.
