There is a higher rated version of this deck as well with 2x Lightbomb 2x Curator... idk, this theme overall does well but I'm still struggling with it around rank 13-14 to be consistent.
I really liked swapping out the Flash Heals for Light of the Naaru. Extra body that can get out of hand real fast for the opponent. Especially when using it offensively so they're naturally going to try to take out the Soulpriest first.
I'm seeing that to be very true. I also did craft a second Lightbomb to see how big of a difference it would make and I feel like I'm seeing marginally better results. I do still however dislike 2 Deathlords just because if you go up against anything but a pure aggro deck, it backfires for you.
I can't do anything but hover between Rank 17 and 14 with this deck and the only differences I run are 1 Nova for 1 Lightbomb since I don't have 2, and 1 Dark Cultist for 1 Deathlord since I've been screwed over more times by what my Deathlord gives them than the times it has actually slowed an opponent and saved me. Wtf.
-1 Lightbomb +1 Holy Nova (card restriction) -1 Deathlord -1 Wild Pyro +2 Dark Cultist (versatility for when you face more mid-range or control opponents)
Deathlords not working lately in the meta I've played against
Are you serious or it's a joke ? Deathlord is good as always to stop them filthy aggro decks.
I haven't had an issue with aggro though. I've faced much more control, and my Deathlords have SCREWED me when it pulls out a huge minion for them. This deck doesn't run extra buffs for the Deathlord so they seem to die too easily.
Then probably Aggro wasn't his Problem. Deathlord can loose you the game, if it hit's a big threat and u have no answer. Most of the time he won't, but against midrange and control, it can lead to ugly situations.
Exactly. 5 games in a row where my Deathlord pulled out a huge minion for my opponent and I basically had to concede.
**Due to hugely negative reaction though. I removed my Acolytes and went back to 1 Deathlord, but 1 Dark Cultist.
It all depends what you're going up against tbh. Mage and Druid are very strong. If I think I'm going to get out-aggro'd then I go Priest or Warrior. The best part is that you can basically choose whichever best counters your opponent. I just don't think Hunter is that great since it's locked in to face damage, but in the spirit of this deck I'm sure it's a fine choice.
I am BEYOND sick of these Shaman decks claiming such high win rates. BS I SAY, BS. I have all the cards, I have 450+ Shaman wins currently, and each and every one of them is an utter pain in the ass. So much reliance on RNG and a perfect start for tempo otherwise you might as well concede halfway through the match and save yourself the effort since you run out of steam. Too many other classes have more consistent counters and curves to be able to kick your ass. I've gone on some hot streaks with Shaman like I'm sure many of you have, but to claim 85% win rate is absurd.
I've played mid-range, reincarnate, scarab control, throwback whambo-combo decks, the list goes on. Shaman is MEDIOCRE at best (yet I won't give up on it). I really thought Finley would help that a lot by giving us a new hero power mid-game that could be used to counter whatever class you're up against, but since he's a one-of and still RNG based, even THAT isn't the answer we need.
I've watched some streams as well, and yea Shaman does have some great match-ups once you're in the upper ranks, but as a player who caps out somewhere around Rank 10 each month (non-legend), Shaman REALLY struggles against almost every meta that has existed.
Petition to down-vote the absolute hell out of any and all aggro decks. Even a golden Shaman here, but I'm beyond tired of this type of play. Makes me sick every time I have to face a face Hunter, rush Pally, or Zoo Lock with anything less than a perfect draw of AOE for myself.

I went with Elise in this deck since matches tend to go long.

I prefer Light of the Naaru over Flashheal tbh.

This is fucking hilarious. I suggested Acolytes about a week ago and was flamed on here with a nice fat -8 rating.

Due to card restrictions, and Deathlords not working lately in the meta I've played against:
-1 Justicar, -1 Lightbomb, -1 Thoughtsteal, -2 Deathlord
+1 Loatheb, +1 Holy Nova, +1 Velen's Chosen, +2 Acolyte of Pain

Smite + Voljin is the key combo it used for though.

I would love to see them as well. I'm running today -1 ED and adding in Finley. http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/76840-finley-control
