how is it that wild is so much more fun and diverse than standard? Isn't that why there was the reason to take out old cards, to keep things fresh? Old decks feel fresh, I see lots of different strategies in wild.
Standard is all control all the time plus aggro shaman. Where is tempo mage? Where is face hunter?
Agreed, most of the C'Thun, buff minions have on-curve stats, or other side effects (deal 2 dmg, divine shield) that make them no slouches. I feel like if minibot and shredder were still around, they would have their work cut out for them to keep their slots.
I think that this topic is overblown though, I mean really, turn 10? How does aggro not make a huge comeback with an abundance of over-control? Aggro shaman has been my nemesis for a while now and I think that that will be continuing for the forseeable future.
The Devs must consider this retribution for Secret paladin and murloc paladin becoming 'things'.
I think paladin still has enough tricks up its sleeve to be competitive though. And if the way Rogue has been wronged by new releases is any indication, next time around Paladin will get the lions share of new new goodies next time.
So handlock? is that what I should be thinking? Why else would you overpay for a minion that is gonna give you a card that you won't get to play in half your matches?
This is a great budget deck - I have been running a deck like this for some time with a newer account that is just getting started and building a collection.
This deck is super competitive for the cost to put it together with dust where needed - and makes good use of free cards.
actually it is sticky in a way because you have two cards.
I believe that the new meta revolves around cards that get you two cards worth of play. Not that the value is out of line, but in the outgoing meta, you would usually play two cards to get this much on board
the compare is fair take a conjurer and a theoretical conjurer that casts the first spell given randomly, would you rather have that spell in your hand, or free with a 50% chance that it worked for your opponent?
I would prefer my dust instead of servant, please.
ow that shredder is falling out of standard, can we just change that card to have a 50-50% chance of popping doomsayer? I have been burned by this more than once but the tears do give way to a chuckle after I have a chance to accept my insta-loss.
Very boring tavern brawl, just some mild constraints on an otherwise constructed deck challenge. If i wanted to play constructed, I would play ranked so that I at least have something to show for it (maybe give a prize pack other than standard once in a while).

Standard sucks, long live wild!

my thoughts exactly, this is a huge boon for my ROGUE token deck with those two faces + summoning stone

Also Steward of Darkshire is going to be meta-defining hero-card. That single card almost makes up for the rest being generally poor additions.

Paladin got ripped off. Total Shame.

This is the card that single handedly killed the mill decks
