Just climbed from 9 to 5 in a single day with this deck, or at least a close variation of it.  I did swap in Oondasta for Faceless Manipulator and a second Amani War Bear for the Swift Messenger.  I have to say it's very satisfying when Oondasta brings down Akali who gives you a giant bear to use next turn.  If there was a spirit of the rhino on board, it will likely stick because the bears protect them pretty well.

posted a message on All RR Cards Reviewed In Over 36,000 Words! By Pageturner

A lot of people are ripping the OP for the huge amount of 1 stars, but he explained his rating system before the review and basically anything that dosn't fit in a meta deck gets a 1, even if it could be good later.  Stars basically indicate how good he thinks the cards will be in the year of the Raven.

But if you look at the write-ups and not just the stars, I think he's made some worthwhile points.  I for one appreciate the OP's effort thinking deeply into the cards and taking the extreme amount of time to write it all up for us to digest.

They sure will!  At least it's Hunter only.  But between Venomizer and Toxic Arrow.  This combo board clear might be fairly easy to pull off.

I might agree with the OP if the monthly card back was more than just an attendance prize.  5 wins, or even rank 20 is just that.  You didn't have to endure some lengthy grind to legend to "earn" those.

I'd really appreciate a method to somehow grind out a "retro" card back somehow.  Maybe make it very time intensive though, to be "fair" to the veterans of the game so any old newbie couldn't just spend a couple hours to obtain all the same backs.

No, it should guarantee it.  The Murmuring will cause Shudderwock to do his battlecry once, then do it again.  So if the first time through the battlecry the grumble goes off before the copy, the copy(ies) will be there on the board for the second go around of the battlecry so even if the grumble battcry goes off first again, the copies are already on the board

posted a message on Did anyone win anything yet?

turns out notification is going to be "blizzard soon" after all.

I guess we shouldn't be too hard on the poor small indie company though.  It takes some creative juices to come up with a contest that gets everyone excited, while still giving away less than 1 card pack per active player.

Legitimately curious. Did anyone on Hpwn win 3000 packs, or one of the smaller prizes? I know for a fact I did not.

How do you know for a fact you did not?  The event ended 6 days ago, they said they would notify winners within 7 days.  Could be they are waiting to the last moment to notify everyone.
Besides that, people who do not respond to their winning instructions in time will forgo their prize and they will choose another winner to take their space.  I don't remember how much time it said people would have to claim their prize, but there will potentially be winners who don't know they won until someone else forgoes their prize.
