Hmm, late game for an aggro/charge warrior?

I don't think this is as bad as people are making it out to be. The strength of this card isn't in itself. Its the fact that it can be run WITH polymorph. This card MIXED with the card pool mages already have lends itself to making echo mage even more viable. And in a slower meta that TGT is encouraging, we will see more of the slower 6/8 legendaries like Chromagus, KT, or other big minions that dodge bgh range. Basically, mage can now neuter 4 big threats with only a single card each, unconditionally.

I would suggest replacing Counter with a new keyword, Evasion or Evasive. It would read similar to: Evasion: Character ignores the first instance of damage from an enemy character's attack on your opponents turn.

Alternately it could be the first instance of damage, but your wording on the cards makes it look like you want it to interact specifically with attacks. This wording would help differentiate it from the similar divine shield, since you can't 'cash in' your evasion against a bigger minion and have your evasion minion survive. But it also can hit the smaller minions and still have evasion now that your opponent only has bigger minions to deal with your evasion minion.

As it is, the counter keyword has a very specific meaning, and trying to cram extra meaning into it would make it confusing and bloated.

Well, this is definitely something only an online ccg could do. Unfortunately, I feel like this guy will get eaten by bgh or just general removal. He seems like a rush down style card, but playing him on turn 5 likely means your opponent has an answer for a 7 health guy, even without bgh.

If he does catch on though, I can picture this fitting most prominently in a deathrattle deck, running the haunted creeper, eggs, muster for battle, and scarlet purifier.

Three tokens and arguably the worst weapon in the game, all for the low price of 3 mana and a card.

I could see this being good for a buffadin deck, flooding the board with more weenies than the opponent can handle, while also maybe killing something with the weapon. Mix this card with avenge and blessing of kings, and you suddenly have a scary board.

Not terribly interesting. Its flexible, but the choice it provides isn't meaningful. The line between a 3/2 and a 2/3 isn't that relevant. Taunt doesn't do it much of a favour either, as Flame Imp and Undertaker eat this thing for breakfast. If anything, it gives Druids their own little mech.

Likely relevant in Arena when your opponent drops a turn 1 2/1. So many times I have a 2 drop 3/2, and would rather have a 2/3 to survive the 1 drop they played.

    mmm... Amani Berserker?, Sunfury Protector?

The point is that in arena, this is a single card that gives you that flexability, instead of an amani that is ALWAYS the 2/3, which is horrible against the endless supply of 3/3s that exist. I predict that in arena, this will be by FAR the best 2-drop for druids.

Also, for all those people worried about how it interacts with silence, I think its a pretty moot point. NOBODY is going to waste a silence making a 3/2 or 2/3 into a 2/2, unless it is a rather extreme and rare case. If anything, it'll only draw a silence to remove the taunt, at which point the stats still don't matter because your opponent is attacking past it.

I could see this replacing the shield block in a more aggro variant of control warrior that also has some legedaries replaced with korkrons.

I could picture this and Thalnos showing up more in a rush mage deck. Any day you can save a fireball or polymorph for something better than a yeti is a good day.

posted a message on [Curse of Naxxramas] Three many Thaddius?

Reading the text on Staalag and Fuegen, it seems like if both players run both of them and play the combined 4 cards during the course of the game, its very possible that there would be 3 Thaddius. If Player A were to play both of his and they die leading to a Thad on his side, then BOTH of the cards that Player B has would have their criteria met for summoning Thad.

I havn't seen anything from Blizz mentioning how this scenario would play out, so if anybody does have answers to how this would be handled (as opposed to once Thad gets summoned, the Staal/Fueg death counter resets to 0) please leave them here.

posted a message on Possibility of True Damage in Hearthstone

I don't see why they wouldn't implement it just because it directly counters something. Swamp ooze does the same thing to weapons, and assuming it kills a weapon when you play it, it has insane value. The fact that it would directly counter only 3 of 9 classes (and only 1 of those even consistently has enough armor for it to be a hassle) balances it out as well, which is the same thing balancing the swamp ooze.

Furthermore, if its a minion doing this, you have all of the inherent weaknesses involved with that, and if its a spell doing it you only have at most two shots and need to save it as a finisher otherwise you'll still need to bust through the armor. Both of these are also made moot by just having armor before your life reaches kill range for either of those methods to kill you.

If anything, I'd say the reasoning for it to not be added is because as a mechanic, it wouldn't fulfill its intended role more often than not.

posted a message on The Beast in Shaman

Unfortunately I don't have the The Beast myself to test it out myself.

Probably, I'd replace an argent commander with it over anything else, though with all of the 4/4 thats getting played right now, could argue for the Fire elemental instead. And yes it's vulnerable to bgh, but I'm seeing it as something you'd want to drop on your weenie board to prevent them from fully clearing it, and from my experience, its not that uncommon to have 3-4 minions on the board with 2-3 hp

Anyone else think that The Beast would be a great addition to pretty much any shaman control deck? With how much 3 damage removal that shaman has, I feel like the deathrattle affects shaman much less than other classes, while being a good drop to discourage aoe clearing the rest of your board until he's been handled. And even if he gets dealt with by the cheaper removal of poly and hex, no more deathrattle to worry about.

posted a message on [Deck Release] Shock-n-Awedin

It usually lasts until turns 8-10. It has a bit of a weakness to the extremely fast rush decks, where you NEED to have typically 2 turns go in your favor before you can reliably hold the board. The benefit is that it absolutely demolishes most control decks with the exception of druids where its more of a 50-50.

Just got done getting this to rank 4.

Been having a ton of luck with this card in my variation of the shockadin. Not only does it tend to catch people off guard since Noble Sacrifice tends to be the go-to secret for aggro, but it synergizes very well any minion with a divine shield and knife jugglers. Can also use it with Loot Hoarder in a pinch to get extra cards in those games where you have a bad hand.
