This card didn't seem like much at first, especially in comparison to the other Quests, but it turns out that this can make a pretty damn strong tempo deck. SI:7 Operative and Agents keep the early board clear, remove threats with Assassin and Extortion, threaten the late-game with huge Informants, and finish with the numerous gadgets you receive from Spymaster Scabbs. All 5 gizmos are pretty good tempo on their own, (except for Spy-o-matic, who's just too slow) but if you can stealth Scabbs or a sufficiently big Informant with the Noggen-Fog Generator gizmo, you can finish off the enemy fast with a Battleground Battlemaster. Taunt in the way? No problem, Fizzflash Distractor is basically a cheaper stronger version of Sap.
His threaten line is "I did nothing wrong!" which is a reference to the "Garrosh did nothing wrong" meme that was floating around during the Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor expansions. It was used by defenders to claim that Garrosh was in the right, despite his brutal and downright fascistic tendencies.
I wonder exactly how the person who designed this card feels right now. Surely, they simply intended this to be a wacky piece of randomness that was typically only played in Casual, now it's one of the most bizarrely good decks Hearthstone has ever seen, with stuff like Turn 3 Skull of Gul'dan, and absurdly easy card draw with both Refreshing Spring Water and Incanter's Flow-reduced Arcane Intellect.
This sleepy boi fits right into druid decks that use ramp. Cards like Overgrowth, Circus Amalgam, and Emerald Explorer can corrupt it to get a strong taunt out early to ensure they aren't getting completely run over by aggro. It's smaller and more reliable than praying you get enough ramp to use Carnival Clown in time. Naturally fits in to Y'Shaarj decks.
If you play this guy with both Potion of Illusion and Blizzard/Frost Nova in your deck, it will be very difficult not to win. You can pretty much keep your opponent completely locked down while you whittle them away with your minions that they can't touch outside of pings and spells. And even then, you have plenty of 1-cost Tortollans in your hand to keep the streak going as long as you have Potion of Illusion in your deck.
The only hard-counter to this is Flik Skyshiv, who will take out all Tortollans in your opponent's field, deck, and hand.
When you've got a big board and ready to finish off the enemy hero, but they play a Convincing Infiltrator with Deathrune. All hope seems lost... until "I AM THE IRON HAND OF THE WASTES!" And the day is saved!
Activate the Obelisk has 2 different effects: Heal the target for 3, and (if it is a minion) give it +3/+3. In total, a priest heals it for 3 and gives it 3 more max health/attack.
"and an additional effect that does damage" Please pay attention, Thekal does NOT do damage, it REPLACES health with armor. Lifesteal only triggers from dealing damage, which Thekal's battlecry does not do.
This card seems like it might be really strong against aggro, or with enrage supporters like Risky Skipper, but really, wouldn't playing Evasive Drakonid be better 9 times out of 10?
This card isn't just good in arena, it's a really good defensive option. If your deck has dragon synergy or if you have a slot open in a highlander deck, you'd be a fool not to include Evasive Drakonid for how many times an enemy will point a removal spell at them and you just see the cursor hover.
True, never seen a pirate kobold before. But if you look closely at the artwork, she has a pirate's cutlass, vest, and a gold tooth, so she certainly looks the part.
A Wild C'thun Mage deck with this minion is pretty fun. Newer cheap spells like Magic Trick, Shooting Star, and Ray of Frost make it easy to ramp up your C'thun's power fast. Combine with Mana Cyclone for even more value.

Only if you plan on playing a Mage deck that consistently plays a LOT of stuff and thus runs out of steam quickly, like Secret Mage.

Love the Booterang reference. We used it back in Burning Crusade during the Netherwing rep grind.

Also really good in Embiggen Druid.
