I like how Tunnel Trogg was this hated card for a class that was good for one year ever. A class that has never been bad has an even better version that probably still won't go to the Hall of Fame.
And yes, that was five in a row. Only four had the turn 1 Mana Wyrm!
And you had to be overloaded to use trogg so if you abused it you would have no mana the next turn....
The rest of the deck I am pretty comfy with, but I have one slot and I don't know what to put in there. The giant is really nice and I have run two in previous decks which can really add some pressure. But Valeera has also saved my butt before, and creates some great synergy with Auctioneer late.
I just always feel like Val is such a late card and often dead.
First: I don't really see the problem with Skulking Geist. I run a copy in my list and I even have two Doomerang instead of one. Never been a problem as those cards are for completely different matchups anyway. When Geist is good, I don't mind removing my Doomerangs anyway. I just like not being cold to Jade Druid :D
Second: I'm quite sure, that this archetype will never have a good matchup against secret mage. It wants to pray on a more controlish meta.
currently I'm running this list, currently no Preparation as often had it sit in my hand for ages not doing much:
Yeah I don't know that I would blow all my dust on it. If you were closer maybe.... but as the other poster says it is not the best deck (it is doing well in some spots though)
Basically if you are seeing a lot of priests you will do well, otherwise the mill/tempo ones tend to do a little better.
Personally everyime I have dumped a ton of dust into a deck to make one I have not played I am often disappointed. With the exception of Handlock, I had a lot of fun with that one. My last thought that is if you really like rogue, some of the cards will be used in plenty of decks so it would not be the worst craft.
Muahaha, annoyed in arena, 0-2 with a crappy rogue deck, down to a few health with a mage (17) and he had lethal. BMs me after I gave him a salty "well played" "thanks" he says, and then goes about trying to clear my board before realizing he screwed up and missed lethal (or maybe just BMin?)
Anyway, I went on to win by the seat of my pants, with 4 health left and he had ice block. Wow that one felt soo good.
Edit: ended up winning 5 games on that run that started 0-2 most of them narrowly before getting smoked by a paladin at the end, but they were all "free wins" anyways.
My favorite Quests are Fire Plume's Heart and Awaken the Makers, and I'm always holding out hope that they'll receive more love. If not, then...well...it was fun while it lasted; an enjoyable day or two, to be sure lol :/
an enjoyable day or two....so just the one priest game then?
God I hate that card/deck when it gets pulled off, 2 hours later I just concede cause its not worth it.
All those damn rezzed Obsidian statues and Lich Kings, before you ever even get to turn 8.....wtf and I thought Naga Sea Witch was bad it should rezz them as 1/1s
Has anyone played casual lately? Nothing but tier 1 decks. It's never been that bad that I can remember
I think it is the quest thing. Since everyone is making sure they complete all the quests for a day I think it has upped casual. I have not played really any casual this season so I don't know.
Been playing Giant Hunter and loving it. I can see them nerfing Naga Sea Witch and its interactions with Giants. A turn 5 4 giant drop is usally insta-concede from my opponent :)
What's everyone piloting against all the Big Priests and Cubelocks? My Burn Mage and Reno Priest can't seem to go any further because I simply get outvalued. I tried a little Aggro Paladin after the nerfs too but it's too slow to beat these greedy decks too.
I'm just looking for ways to tech my Reno Priest tbh. Was at rank 12 4 stars before nerfs. Now at rank 14...
Kingsbane Mill Rogue, Malygos Shaman, Malygos Aviana Kun Druid, Exodia (with or without a Quest) Mage. Something more unfair comboish, OTKish.
Is maly Shaman working? I have only played it a few times, so clearly I need some practice, but it seems a little wonky so far and not very consistent. Wouldn't a more aggro deck be better for climbing?
Also, I just started back into wild. I used to think of it as where all the Secret pallys were hiding, now, it is not so bad....
I’ve tried Exodia Mage but my list feels pretty meh. Anybody got a list?
This is what I have been using, not sure that I would add anything different for wild, perhaps replacing card draw ( Novice EngineerCold wraith (not greatanyways) with Azure Drake?

I have seen a few variations, just trying to find what seems to play well lately currently I have 1 Giant and I am sitting Val out.
Sorry should have linked my deck:

Valeera the Hollow
Or
Arcane Giant
