Thankfully I only had to give up one double card in the deck, and included a single double (3 mana) which I always managed to get out early. I've gotta admit Alex made me win in 7/12 matches

They have a massive esports following... If they were discovered to be manipulating winrates, They'd be ripped a new one... I can't imagine any scenario where rigging outcomes for random players would be beneficial enough to risk the backlash of being caught rigging the software. It's pretty silly.
I hope most of the people who post about the game being rigged are just coming down off a rage quit, and can think more reasonably once they've cooled down... Otherwise they're likely also against vaccines, and hide from airplanes.
Agree with above post. Additionally, why would a company go through all the troubles to do the required analyses every time. It requires a good understanding of the meta, since that constantly shifts. That would ask a lot of Blizzard, without a clear benefit.
Occams razor is indeed applicable here; the easiest solution is that Blizz wouldnt go through the trouble.

After the new expansion, dragons are a regular pick in the draft. You can get around 7 dragons out of 30 on average, more if you go all-the-way and ignore better cards.
Most dragons are awsome picks, so I am inclined to almost blindy select every dragon that is offered. Obviously, with curve etc. you shouldn't be too blindly selecting, but what is the downside?
I've noticed a single counter to dragons in the shape of Dragonmaw Poacher, but that's the only counter available right? The Dragonslayer just rotated out, since Kobolds and Catacombs isnt' included anymore.
Other 'general' removal isn't too prevalent either right? That's based on just a few games though.
Are dragons overpowered in this game mode?

In my humble deckbuilding experience I've often had 25/30 cards filled with class cards only, before realizing that many neutral cards would've been better. Just the order of your library makes me select way too many class cards

Don't forget bluffing and hand tracking. This game has so many skill layers that base players don't even come close to understanding. For instance I can hand track thorough intuition but firebat actually knows which cards have been held from which turns and can predict what they're holding with high accuracy.
Also someone said 5 years ago it took 100 games just to reach rank 5 and now it takes them 50 to get somewhere between 1-5... And used this to say it's rng based.... How? Likely in 5 years your skill got better and they changed the laddering system to make it softer to get to legend. Lol.
Exactly. Reaching a higher rank in shorter time span, means you have become better at the game.
Over multiple games, the RNG effect flattens out between players.
Luck greatly determines the outcome of a single game, but over the span of many games, luck becomes less of a factor and skills become more important.
With regards to grit: The skill of playing hearthstone is determined by your personal skills like perseverance, adaptability and such. Grit is one of those, along with self regulation. In the end a player's gaming skill is built from multiple other skills.
The arguments Ive given here are comparable to playing poker: the hand you play poker with highly determines the outcome of that hand. Whether a player is a winner or loser is however determined after several thousands of hands dealt. Luck evens out.

Arena when I feel like thinking a lot. Spend time doing the card selection and evaluate all options each turn.
Ranked standard when I want to grind a lot. I play a lot more on autopilot. No real objective there, except for reaching the highest rank with the least effort (in quality).
Ranked Wild for questing at ranks 20-16.

I had similar thoughts with adding the quest to the mech hunter.
Due to the lack of 1-drops this makes sense, and as you pointed out, many minions spawn goblin bombs, 1/1s and such. I currently use two cards to activate the bombs (Dire wolf and Defender of Argus) which could be dropped to make room for the quest.
In about 10 games I have not been able to pop the quest, because most games are over before that time, but it does offer some nice endgame pressure if you some tokens on boards.

You do not draw a card so this card is not a insta-kill when it is your only card left. compare it to Scroll of Wonder there is a draw a card on that card not like corrupted blood so you can actually use it to reduce fatigue damage if you are above 3 damage. it is not powerful in the you think it is.
Wrong. It actually draws a card, it is only hidden behind a "Casts when drawn" keyword. You draw it, get 3 damage, draw your normal card and then it reshuffles x2, so you will take also fatigue damage when it will be your last card in a deck.
I am curious how that keyword "Casts when drawn" would suggest you draw a new card? I know you are right, since the wording in, for example, a Nerubian Ambush is similar, but Blizzard should make this more clear imo.
On a sidenote, you can evade these cards' effects when you have a full hand. That might be a, although tough to accomplish, work-around ;)
In my understanding, this spell will auto-cast when drawn, instead of going to your hand.
