posted a message on Nerfs should not be what you expect

First of all, i'm not a shaman player.

Secondly, i wish to point out that i have a positive winning rate (i would say > 60%) against galakron shaman with dragon handlock. The deck i'm playing also fares well against aggro decks (aggro hunter and zoolock). However, i do have problems dealing with the control-ish dragon Healadin and Deathrattle handbuff rogue. Nevertheless, an early draw of giants or frizz normally put the game in my favour.

A balance patch is always welcomed. I hope that they can do it consistently and more frequent so that the class representation in the game is healthy.

Toning down the power level of shaman class is good IMO, but to nerf it into oblivion is not.

Lastly, i feel it's unwise to judge the power level of each class two weeks into an expansion. My game experience tells me that shaman's current winning rate and representation do not reflect the actual strength of the class. Anyway, if toning down the power level of shaman gives the majority of the community a better game experience, why not?

Gonk raptor's effect is not windfury for the minion but allows the HERO to attack multiple times if the hero successfully kills the minion each time it attacks.

This, hadronox and cubes make a very deadly combo. Only hadonox though, no other beasts are allowed. Then you can have like 7 waves of revives if opponent has no hex or silence. Almost impossible to penetrate through the wall of taunts without aoe clear. Druid may be lower tier 1 or high tier 2 this season.

IT'S BEEN LESS THAN A DAY!!

Anyone claiming A, B or C believes that a single day is enough statistical evidence to not only explain or otherwise argue of it's validity ... but would go as far as use it to define something.

But alright, I'll play along... you say the combo is broken, then I want you to prove it. Show me statistical evidence of a period of let's say 2 weeks since that's a decent amount of time with variance with folks playing different decks and will also have a curve of difficulty and different winrates at different ranks. If you can show me that and from there we can determain first that the deck itself has an above 60% winrate at ALL levels of play and around 65-70% winrate if not even higher in the hands of an experienced player, then we can say that the deck is overpowered.

At that point we can begin to gather data on the different cards and their impacts on the game. In other words, we can see which cards end up being the powerhouses that increases the winrate by that significant amount and which ones do not.

Oh? You are saying that it hasn't been 2 weeks yet and the experimental period for a lot of people is usually the full month that an expansion is released making a lot of the data we can gather quite iffy and difficult to read unless you make assumptions that can only be made by qualified people of exceptionally high skill and a deep understanding of statistics and statisical math regarding Hearthstone?

Well... I think I may have made my point.

Please quit with the threads like this and go out and gather the data rather than make guesswork based on litterally nothing else than a biased hunch.

Edit: Albeit the animation issue I will say gotta get fixed which it'll most likely be. Just like how previous animation bugs or unintended effects have been fixed.

The situation where one can play infinite 1 mana cost card that generate such amount of value should not have happened in the first place. Base on the Blizzard nerf history, the card definitely need to be dealt with.
The frequency of the occurrence of a 'broken situation' is not a valid reason to not fix it.

The OTK aside, the animation of repeating all those battclecries is what bug me. This is by far the most broken card made in Hearthstone. How did it get pass the test phase is beyond me. I'm all happy experimenting new cards until i met a shaman who keeps playing infinite shudderwock, and the biggest problem is he did not OTK me. I was waiting for like half an hour watching the battlecry animation  for like 2 turns? It's truly AMAZING!!

Way to early for any nerf discussions imho.

u sure haven't watch the twitch stream yet right dude? Go ahead and take a look, i think no one likes to wait for 20 minutes to half an hour for a single turn to complete. The card shouldn't have passed the test phase.
