posted a message on New Terran Legendary Card Revealed - Jim Raynor

It’s not an issue at all. The point is that it’s cheap, so if you have some Terran minions on the board, you could play it on turn 9 to buff them for lethal.

As you said, it’s a N’Zoth-type card, but it has the upside of allowing you to buff your board with the Hero Power on the same turn or use the remaining mana for something else.

Also, don’t forget that Terran classes have ways to launch their starships for cheap, plus they can generate cheap starship pieces from Starport. This means you could launch a decent starship before turn 7 and before playing the Hero card.

how the meta feels has not been great for a long time

It’s funny. I’ve realized that when people say such things, they don’t mean just one thing. For example, maybe someone says that phrase because their favorite class or deck isn’t good. Another might say it because their favorite archetype (aggro, control, or combo) isn’t competitive. Yet others might say it for completely different, selfish reasons.

Also, there are those strange people who love to complain about everything in the game and its developers. Even when the devs add something good to the game, those players always find something to complain about.

I used to think that people said it to judge the overall state of the game and that they genuinely cared about the game as a whole. Silly me.

Literally every expansion, I see a few people say, "This is the worst meta ever".

I’m not very knowledgeable about the concept of FOMO, but I don’t understand the correlation. How does not buying a skin you don’t like relate to the “fear of missing out”?

    If I see a skin I don’t like in the shop, I won’t buy it, whether it’s a limited-time skin or not.

If I want skins that aren’t currently in the shop and plan to buy them once they become available, I won’t buy any other skin unless it’s better than my favorites. And if my budget doesn’t allow me to buy an additional skin, I’ll simply remove one skin from my favorites list.

Obviously, it’s still playable and remains a very good card. Some people are complaining because it’s not ultra busted anymore.

For example, you can still pull off the Incindius combo with sonya, and you can still do some shenanigans with the mini Sandbox Scoundrel and other cards to play multiple copies.

There is also a common group of players who love playing the most broken cards and decks, regardless of class or archetype. The developers know that this group is significant, so they print insane cards for them and then nerf them later.

Notice that when a new, overpowered card or deck is released, the majority of players play it.

posted a message on Heroic Tavern Brawl is This Week's Tavern Brawl

This is exactly what I said. My definition of a “terrible player” in this brawl is someone whose rank is low Legend, Diamond, or below.

For most players, this is going to be a colossal waste of resources.

This is what I said as well: players should stop deluding themselves about being good enough for the brawl and stop blaming the developers for creating it.

I don’t understand why people get angry and accuse the developers of “scamming” them in this brawl. Realizing that this brawl is only for the very best players should be common sense. Even if you are one of the best, there is a high risk involved. Is it really that hard for people to figure out this common sense? That’s why I said delusional fools deserve whatever they get.

Imagine a fool clicking on the “Tavern Brawl” tab and getting a prompt telling them to pay 1000 gold, and they’re like, “Hell yeah, take my money,” expecting to make a profit, without doing any research online about this brawl. LOL

posted a message on 31.2 Patch Notes - Battlegrounds Season 9, Twist, Arena, Event, Heroic Brawl & More!

I truly don’t understand why people get so angry about the brawl. If you’re a bad player or a player with a terrible deck wasting your gold on the brawl, then you deserve what happens to you. The brawl is only good for the very best players with great decks.

I don’t understand the appeal of the brawl. I’ve never felt the desire to participate in it. I didn’t even play in the latest brawl (the one that was right before this expansion).

The timing of the brawl has NOTHING to do with it being a “scam.” Even if it were after the mini-set, bad players shouldn’t participate.

By the way, it’s totally fine if you just want to play it for fun. I’m talking about bad players who expect to maximize their gold and number of packs by winning in the brawl.

Imagine a random player thinking they can profit from the brawl, saying, “I am rank 4284387 legend. I am so good at the game. Obviously, I will get at least 10 wins in this brawl.” LOL

PS: I just want to make it clear: when I said “bad player,” I’m including diamond and low-legend players as well.

posted a message on 31.0.3 Patch Notes - Balance Changes Standard, Wild & Battlegrounds

"People aren't using the new cards we designed"

Don’t people get angry at the developers when the new cards and decks aren’t used because they’re weak and unplayable?

For example, I’ve never seen a Hearthstone player say anything nice about the Rastakhan’s Rumble expansion. Why? Because “the cards suck,” “these cards are unplayable,” and “the developers missed the mark on this one.”

Actually, I've realized that a big reason players love a certain expansion is its high power level and significant impact on the meta.

Rather than let us play the decks we want to play

what decks are you wanna play? You want to play those decks for your entire life?
