posted a message on Drunken Dragon - Nozdormu Brewmaster combo

It is fixed now. Happy now all the patrons here? like this idea never was competitive, but it was fun- a new, different wining condition. This deck was cool, thumps up, I also used drunken paladin dragon, because of possibility to minimize costs. But it is over. Over. Over. I am very sad right now.

posted a message on More RNG equals more fun?

Saying that RNG requires no skill is silly. Card game is already RNG, because you are drawing a "random" card. But that card is not really random, that card is from the pool of cards that you know. So you have to think about possibilities that you could draw. Same when you perform your move you think what your opponent has in his hand. You think from the pool of possibilities. Same the effects that have RNG affect, they require player a skill to use it. And to say oh it just RNG is silly, because in some case everything is RNG. The skill of a player is to perform best choices from possible possibilities. I see no bad thing in effects that are have couple of possible outcomes.

Al'Akir the Windlord grant his powers to a dragon by charging a lightning storm from the essence of already slayed dragons.

    Explanations of the mechanic

    * This is not choose one from number of options affect. While the criteria is not met the border of the card is normal, and it allows the user to kill a targeted dragon. While the criteria is met, the border of the card glows in yellow and allows to grant the mentioned affect on the targeted dragon.

    * 5 or more dragons that died this turn is counted by summing yours and your opponents destroyed dragons

    * Both affects can target enemy and friendly dragons

     Justification

    * Low mana value because both criteria (the 5 already destroyed dragons, and a friendly dragon on the field or enemy dragon in the battlefield) are hard to set-up.

    * Has a nice lore flavor and re-uses the flavor of Al'Akir

    * Strong for Shaman dragon deck, and shaman (in my opinion) is no missing a good tribal archetype. Has to be tuned right. Hard to maintain the condition. Interesting in a mirror match

    * I think a nice, not yet used mechanic. (This mechanic can be discussed as well, I think)

Thank you for your time. If there is any comments, please post to Discussion thread.

Man, but you are really salty.

It is not a cost, it is a condition, that as a player you try to overcome. Because if following your logic, you should not be able to summon Recombobulator or Youthful Brewmaster unless you affect your monsters. and that is silly, is in it?

The card mechanic, that forces the player to build a deck or a strategy around the drawbacks and the strong points of the card makes the game (and especially the deck building part) interesting, challenging and fun

As others told you: play around, that means you have to anticipate and play around this card, as the opposing player has to play around the cards drawbacks as well. Seems fair.

Neltharion- the previous form of Deathwing which has the symmetric effect of the counterpart card. And is (obviously) weaker then the counterpart. Because of the unique effect would be quit strong (think combo breaker).

posted a message on Why are there zero anti aggro cards in BRM?

I think blizzard did a good job by not playing favorites. If there are people that plays f-hunter, then there are people would be disappointed if it would be insanely nerfed. It is a hard task to build a balance between different styles of play.

That said, i think adimon94 is right, there are couple anti aggro cards. As well I would add that for example Flamewaker can be used by midrange as an antiaggro card. Same goes with volcanic drake. (and even gang up) And so on. there are smart takes available of how to utilize these cards properly. They did not gave us a straight, lets say, answer, but gave another set of options.

(Yes the gimmicky legendaries, are gimmicky legendaries (except one in my opinion)).

And besides that, it is not to hard to counter rushy aggro decks. Of course is hard to counter rushy aggro and combo based (for example druid) at the same time, but that is the different story.
