posted a message on Dean Ayala Asks: What Would Get You Back Into Hearthstone?

The main reason I stopped playing is that the meta is never diverse. It's always 2 or 3 decks that stomp everything and it gets old fast. Also the ladder system was obnoxious. Why do i need to prove every month that I'm not a rank 16 player?

Proof or bs. I've faced all the classes pretty equally, besides warrior. Poor Garrosh.

Thanks for your useful, and not so useful comments. Im guessing if it had a higher stat line, it would be better. Maybe 9/10.

Also noticed that phone players are straight up fucked.

I play on mobile and have definitely been screwed by Nozdurmo once or twice. It's hard to make your actions that fast on a phone.

There are counters to Quest Mage, but it's equally as offensive as jade druid.  I've enjoyed combo decks in the past, but an infinite damage freeze mage breaks a natural balance that combo had going before.

The fact that Blizzard made an effort to reduce charge combo decks is understandable, but why they then print this abomination is stunning.  This deck has the same issue without the damage cap, which reduces natural counters (warrior armor obviously or aggression + full hp).  Now practically any amount of armor won't save you from the one turn burst.

Playing the deck certainly isn't easy, but the tech environment is very unhealthy.  Like jade druid, the infinite nature of it prevents healthy utility cards normally found in decks from providing any help at all.  Incidentally, dirty rat was a utility card last expansion that worked fairly well.  In this expansion, dirty rat has lost most of its utility. You now have to tech in cards specifically for the matchup or play pirate warrior.

So, are Infinite decks cool? That's a resounding no.  They didn't sound cool upon being teased, and it's unsurprisingly still true now.

Let's be clear here, the Infinite Damage Combo has been available in the game since BETA. First time I ever did it, it took me like 50 tries, but eventually I managed to play 2 Apprentices, copy them with Faceless Manipulators the next turn, and then Antonidas for lethal the last turn. It is nothing new, all that has changed is how is has become more accessible now, but the fact is that the Exodia Combo has been easier to accomplish earlier, back in the Blackrock Mountain expansion. It required FAR less setup than the Quest version requires.
All you needed back then was to Duplicate Emperor Thaurissan so you could play it twice, and then kill the opponent with only 4 discounted cards. Now it's even harder to do because you need to do all the setup with the Quest that is a side condition which doesn't advance your gameplan like the other would.
The only reason Exodia Mage is seeing play consistently is because it is a direct counter to slow Druids, which are EXTREMELY popular. It also works wonders in a Meta of Control Greedy stuff, which we are seeing. Once the Meta becomes much faster, Quest Mages have a very hard time.
So is it reasonable, yes of course it is.
As for Tech environment not being healthy, I have no idea what on earth you are talkign about. TECH CARDS are not meant to be usable in every matchup without having any risks. When you put a Tech card in your deck, you do it to counter specific strategies. If you face other strategies, that Tech card can backfire, which is a GOOD thing. It means people need to think before playing Tech cards. You should never have risk free Tech cards that can be included in any deck, which also happen to completely destroy certain strategies. It means you can destroy those strategies for free and makes those strategies unviable to play. You have a completely wrong idea of what healthy Tech environment actually is.
"You now have to tech in specific cards for the matchup" is how it should ALWAYS work, there should never be cards you already include in your deck that also happen to destroy certain decks in the game, that is terrible for balance.

I liked this meta until quest mage started being played. Now we're going to be back to pirate warrior and shaman all over the place because you can't consistently beat this pure AIDS deck with control.

You can, you just dont' want to beat them. You just have to Tech in the cards to help you, which is the problem, most players want free wins without any work, which doesn't happen.
So all control decks need to run gheist and eater of secrets now?  That's seriously the solution? If there was sideboarding in hearthstone than maybe I would agree, but I hardly think that's a reasonable solution.

Oh and did I mention how fun it is to lose to randomly generated cards, that are exactly what my opponent needed to get back in the game.

Isn't this card itself counterplay to combo/control? You can't counter half of what happens in hs anyway. What's the counterplay to your opponent generating a dozen cards that aren't actually in their deck?

In mtg there are a plethora of cards that can't be countered, and that game has been going strong for 30 years. You would literally cry if you played magic and somebody thoughtseized you.

I guess it is time to remove those classic cards. Otherwise we won't really see the correct direction hearthstone wants to go. Classic cards have just way too many aggressive cards playable for every class

I try to drive this point home anytime I see stale meta/broken card posts. Unfortunately I think there are too many f2p players who would cry tremendous amounts of tears if they actually had to spend a little money on a game they've invested thousands of hours into.

If my opponent greets me I will greet back and then squelch. If they do not greet me I squelch and then proceed with the game. If you want to be polite that's cool,  but I've learned that it's better to avoid getting tilted by bmers.

posted a message on How to nerf Innervate.

A lot of these nerf "x" threads have something in common. The cards are from the classic set and after several years people are understandably sick of seeing them. I think classic needs to rotate. Unfortunately that inconveniences the plebs who play one game every couple months and that is who blizzard caters to when making every decision regarding hearthstone.

posted a message on Jade Druid is going out of hand
    Quote from inverna >>

Brainless aggro you say? What about aggro druid, Q Rogue, Pirate Warrior, Token shaman to some degree Paladin and Secret Mage? Atleast Jade Druid requires half a brain , the only reason why I agree with you is because Jade Druid keeps control decks away, wich require you to make choices (also past turn 5). Other than that Jade Druid is way better to play with and against than all the silly Aggro decks. Atleast you can still beat them if they have a perfect opening unlike Aggro decks lol.

There are so many wrong things in your post that I don't even know how to start... A deck is played if the meta where make it possible. Cleare example: Freeze Mage. So, you cant play aggro in a meta where every deck counters you. The decks that counters aggro are: Control and faster aggro decks. If you remove control decks from the meta, there's no counter to aggro except faster aggro, making the game a Pirate Shaman vs Pirate Warrior meta.

On the other hand. It isn't better to play with or against Jade Druid; that's a false illusion that the deck creates. The deck instantly wins or instantly lose against certain match ups (you can see the win rates, either 70%-30% WR, the reason why the deck has always been a Tier 2/3 deck). If you look at the WR of an aggro deck you can see that it is either a 60%-40%. In conclusion, when you play against aggro it's a coin flip, you have a good/bad mulligan you loose/win. When you play Jade Druid is not even a coinflip. Did you face X class? You lost. Did you face Y class? You won. You think that the match up is even because it takes longer, but it's not, it just takes longer

I prefer controll decks that was my whole point , I hate aggro to death but Jade Druid feels more like a control deck than those stupid aggro aggro decks. I don't care about your stats if you play your cards right you can beat them but 85% of the player base never gets past rank 18 so i'm not suprised that people don't know what to do. I reach rank 5 just by doing my daily quests and legend rank if I invest 1 or 2 hours a day so yeah.
Obviously I know that Jade druid keeps away control decks , resulting into more aggro decks thats why I said I agreed on that part but he called Jade Druid a aggro deck wich is false cause most games you play your entire deck before winning.
Those stats are from Tempo Storm, they only use their own stats; stats from Legend Rank and professional players.
I didn't call Jade Druid an aggro deck, that's stupid. I told that it makes the meta into brainless aggro.
And no, you can't beat them with certain decks unleast you are extremely lucky and he extremely unlucky. It is like saying that you can beat old CW with freeze mage if you played your cards correctly
As a freeze mage enthusiast, I do not miss those days. I eventually started just auto conceding as soon as I was sure it was control. I don't think jade druid has any matchup that it oppresses on that level. That was about as unwinnable as it gets lol.

What triggers me are people who try to add me after they loose. I usually prepare a small sentence like "salty?", accept the request, paste it and then remove the guy from the friendlist before he can answer :) I am sure this triggers them hard XDXDXD

Wow, I can't believe how proud you sound saying this. What if they wanna add you to ask about your deck? Your attitude makes you look like an ass.

    You should be ashamed.

That's what I was thinking too. If someone adds me after they've lost I prepare for the worst,  but more often than not they just want to say well played, ask about deck list, etc.
