Constructed is so toxic and unhealthy I can't believe it came that far.

Minimum board interaction and you either destroy the oponent or get smashed with "miraculous" turnarounds. EVERYTIME with the start of new expansion some toxic shit happens, like c'mon. Switheroo turn 4 you're dead in both format, thank you very much.

..also 1000 pages of quality salt, nice.

    S - Xyrella

    A - Scabbs  Dawngrasp Rokara

    B - Cariel Kurtrus Bru'kan

    C -  Tavish Guff Tamsin

Xyrella has overall long term biggest potential. Scabbs and Dawngrasp has good tempo/gamewinning chances by themself, Rokara is ok. Cariel too situational, Kurtrus and Bru'kan are meta dependent. Tavish is fine but you lose direct damage, Guff is meme, Tamsin I dont like flooding your deck with 3/3s. Except for Tamsin I like them all however.

posted a message on Mercenaries - your first impressions ?

    Love it.
I bought 10 pack welcome bundle, paid 1000gp, and  with 10 packs free opened 30 packs and got pretty solid starting collection.
I am currently lvl 17 and I faced few challenges but overall it went out smoothly. I will not rush my progress.

I love both designs of possibility to choose reasonable location for loot and existence of mysterious visitor.

I am not commited to Mercenaries yet, but from 3 days of playing I realy like the gameplay.

posted a message on Wait, people GENUINELY think the game is rigged?

I have not read all post but just first page, so apologies I missed anything relevant.

Hearthstone matchmaking system and probably card dealing is rigged/manipulated for sure imo.
I have encountered many times if I switch decks after 2-4 games I might end 1-9 after 10 games easily even I play top 3 meta decks. I see this happening from Naxxramas.
If I start playing after some time or had some winstreak last day I will most likely lose 2-3 games from next 3, oposite is true when I come from losing streak.
I experienced If I play more casual deck with less powerful cards I am facing also more casul decks or opponents with lower winrate (making bad plays etc)

So from my observation frequent deck swapping or cards you are playing and what is my current winrate has impact on my winrate in first three games. This is done by facing counter decks and/or card manipulation either my or my opponents. It is usualy enough to miss one or two from first five. Yes it could happen normaly, but in those three games it is more significant. I see this happening so often that I have no doubt there is some manipulation of that sort.
Is it big deal? Well I got into tilt sometimes beacuse you know, you log in after long day to get some relax, you know you play well, you are experienced, have good deck and you got smashed by bad draw or counter decks in first 20 minutes, 0 wins, 0 relax anyway.

Why would something like this exist?
Heartstone I think is ment to be less about precise mathematics and close numbers and more about wonderfull effects and awesome plays. It would be more suitable to balance gameplay by manipulating matchmaking and card dealing then by making tight mathematical balance above countless variations. (you would not get that awesome "random" plays in my oppinion if random was pure randomness..)
And by "balance gameplay" I mean you have long term gameplay experience of fair chance of winning, because that is a reason you will keep playing the game long term and you will stay in game that day. More people playing the game equals higher chance player making ingame purchases. And don't get me wrong but somebody has to pay the devs. Hearthstone even it is competitive in its nature is more casual game in fact. Thats why we will probably never get balanced meta in hyper comepetetive way.

So If you manipulate outcome of the match you could get:
    - increase chance for winning for more casual player
    - more versatile meta
    - you eliminate chance of deck metapicking strategies, if you try to outwitt current meta by changing deck too often. btw remember old ladder days with Miracle rogue and hunter deck being most dominant decks in the game?
    - you might screwed by bad card dealing in first games, but in long run you could get more consistent card dealing in even games
    - more balanced meta in case of winrate

All above are the reason for more "positive play experience" for player and more sustainable product for company. Price? You might get tilted sometimes and game prefers if you stick with one deck in game session. What I wrote is debatable, it is based on my "gut feelings" and "rumours" about patent. But I think it could make sense.

Agreed. At the end of a season I was matched against unfavorable matchups or I had terrible draw just based that I had winning streak previous day. Terrible.

Today the same, you have to "earn" by losing in order to gain some wins, at 10 bronze, haha.

    edit: @biased matchmaking

Refreshing Spring Water is just worse Gush. I dont mind Deck of Lunacy, maybe nerf it to cost (2)more but Refreshing spring water plus Incanter's Flow for two mana is what makes this deck nonsense. And I mean I like Deck of Lunacy as a card, but the deck does not seem to be right and even the plays might be spectacular, but are dull in fact.

I like mage, only spell mage is interesting idea, but Refreshing Spring WaterConjure Mana Biscuit bot should be cratures with some deathrattle, spellburst or franzy effects, not a spells. The worst think is lack of interactivity even for me as a Lunacy player.

Some deck from hearthstones (and in card games in general) tend to miss with combos the core point which is interaction, like if you play 4-6 cards in 4 turns, opponent does not have chance to counter and then you dominate him with great visuals and wow efects, I mean c'mon.

I find fun in Hearthstone in counting my resources on board, in hand and predicting opponent moves. I like to outsmart opponent and other players are welcome to do the same to me. I will never find fun and play Hearthstone solely because of domination, incentives, daily quests or spectacular effect or situation. But I understand those are what makes money.

I miss times when I came to game with intention to entertain me and it did back then, now it is more of attention drainer :( I would like the game to be more mid-rangey, grind counting game, not like watching bag of fireworks poping out :/

    New XP system is taxing

Even gold remained the same, minimal playing time needed to get the same amount of gold increased, because of weekly quests. This was not communicated.

If you are "pure" one style type HS player (I prefer constructed) by new system you are forced to spend time in other modes in order to gain max xp from quests. Rerolls are terrible.

No progress through other quests while playing Brawl. Sorry, what? There are many quests for Brawl, but they are not compatible with other quests.

I like Demon Hunter, but this standard meta is wanting me to to just heropower + rope my game when I queue against DH.

I mean c'mon Blizzard, I do not mind purchase something, but I think you are trying to sell us flashy robe while we walk on the road of mud..

posted a message on Let's talk gold, like-for-like rewards and "equal pay for equal work"

I was pretty hesitant to say something about the new reward system since I understand it is new, but at same time I was suspicious something is not that all right. I probably find out what was that suspicious thing, at least for me.

I am playing since open beta on EU and from Naxx I was starting playing NA and Asia regions too. I enjoyed plaing HS, I had a time and wanted to play with larger collection of cards while remaining F2P. Since then I am playing all servers EU being main, managing buying 40-60 packs (about 30 on secondary regions) per expansion. Back then 4 years ago I had time and dedication to play all three servers because I liked HS so much but now I am 43, priorities changed, but I am still trying to keep up playing all regions but sometimes its pretty hard with schedule.

I usualy play HS once per two or three days on each region, mainly to do dailys which are cumulated and I spend at average 3-4 hours on each server per week. I play mostly midrang-y tempo decks, do Brawls and enjoing game, playing honestly no quiting. If I do feel like it I play without quests and sometimes I am missing few days on quests.

When new system came out I kinda panicked inside and did not know why, but I decided to keep up and stay focused. But, today I am laying in bad, I finished my Qs on EU, thinking about where I will put my playing window in Sunday schedule, feeling littlebit anxious about not keeping up.. Then I looked at Journal again and it struck me in the face. I managed to keep up rotating and doing daily quests but I have all three weekly quests unfinished.. So does it mean I have to spend MORE time in game than in previous reward system?! I was planing finishing my Qs on secondary servers this Sunday here is current look:

EU (20 lvl, 2335xp, Tavern pass)
    HeroPower 5/20
    weekly: Ranked 6/7, Win B-BG-D 1/5, Play battlecry 26/50

     Asia (lvl 17, 1530xp)
Challenge friend, Play games 0/3, Play tavern brawls 1/3
    Ranked 3/7, Win B-BG-D 0/5, play battlecry 23/50

     NA (17 lvl, 1818xp)
    play Dragons 0/12, Hunter.Mage.Paladin 2/3
    Ranked 3/7, Win B-BG-D 1/5, Play battlecry 20/50

If I would finish my dailies as usual, I will still have at least Win 5 Brawl-Battlegrounds-Duel which is best one for me from that slot (correct me if I am wrong please), since I don't play BG or Arena and even that I would still have some of my weekly Qs for constructed opened. On NA I play Highlander hunter with dragons, so its like 2-3 games, on Asia I would have to reroll Brawl daily and have also like 3 games but situation is similar.
Main thing is, I would like to finish my daily Qs and I am not feeling like playing this week.

So I am doing nearly "just daily quest" on each server. I am spending as less time ingame as possible, game is fine just because of IRL. Is new xp system good for me? Because it seems like the system is telling me to spend more time in game. There are two limits for me. I would like to have 40 packs per expansion as I used to have, and I would like to spend exact amount of time in game as I do now, since it is balanced with my life. It is 4 hours per server per week for me max.

With the old system I manage to get 4-5k on EU server and I was surely missing some daily Qs time to time. I think maximum gold was 7800. Also I think there were some free packs at start of the previous expansions, so I opened about 50packs on EU and 30 on secondary regions.
With the new system I would like to get to level 44 minimum. I will get 4050 gold, 5 Madness packs and 5 older packs, 2 Tavern pass which is 2 packs for me, 2 legendary and 1 epic. It is 140900 xp total.

So there is 17 weeks for expansion.
    4 hours per week equals 27 200xp (4x400x17)
    abadoning 1 secondary weekly quest is 72 250 ((2500+1750) x 17)
All daily quests are 5,6 to 7 but I miss and often reroll so 5500xp realisticaly, 93 500
Together it is 192 950xp which is good enough to reach level 49. This should be 1500 gold plus expectation

This is nice, but it is at cost of few minutes per week more then I used to be.

    Conclusion
I am probably extreme example since I try to run all three regions, but somone who is playing Hearthstone just for daily quest might fall in same category. As I look at the numbers, the requirments for me shifted from "do not miss daily Qs" to "do not miss daily Qs AND finish 7 weekly wins" which suprisigly for me you can finish all daily Qs in current week and not complete 7 wins or other weeklys. For active player probably nothing special. For me, it might be aproximately 30 minutes more of gameplay per week per server.
I feel like Blizzard offered sligthly more stuff with new reward system, but also 'asked' for more minimum time spent ingame. And there is gap or at least difference if you are playing on the edge of minimal our spent per week, respectively you miss out weekly quests. (at least for my gameplay)

I am extreme sleepy and made this on the fly. Hope it make sense amd numbers are correct :)
