The combination of death rattle minions agro. And secrets are devastating... Matter of fact I'm not even running lions... Only beasts I have are the creepers and the 1/1 spiders.. I may put in a lion but it may be too slow

Well yes it's too slow if you play predominantly Zoo.  Against virtually everything else, Highmane is essential.  You need it to beat control decks.

And last season after I hit Rank 6 and beyond I saw very little Zoo.  Highmane is one of the top 5 best cards in the game, legendary or not IMO.

Hunter is obviously the most powerful class right now.  It's not even up for discussion, really.  Check out the tournament decks and see what legend players are laddering with.

That said, I don't think Blizzard will nerf anything.  They've already nerfed UTH twice!  I think they will try to balance it with forthcoming card booster sets.  I disagree that these are a year away...  The development time will be shorter than Naxx because there is no single player component.  For Naxx, they had to do the framework for Adventures from scratch (to support upcoming Adventures), all the Naxx single-player content and the cards themselves.  Additionally I just read they have ramped up to 30 people on their team from 15.

So I would think that Hunter will be a top class until the next boosters are released - probably within 6 months.  Of course, in the meantime deck-builders will no doubt figure out better counters to Hunter to close the gap somewhat.

100% absolutely you should play Arena instead of buying card packs.  Its fun, and it helps you learn this game and improve your skill.  AND the rewards are far greater once you get good (I've made something like 10000 dust in Arena).

If you don't have any Druid of the Claw or Keeper of the Grove it will be very hard to have a successful Druid deck.  I'd suggest Zoo or Aggro Rogue.  You could also try Hunter but if you don't have Highmane then it probably won't work very well.

    The deck purpose looks confused.

If you want to go mill, then you need Naturalize, Dancing Swords and probably Mukla.  If you want to go deathrattle, then you'll want Cairne, Baron, Sylvanas etc.

posted a message on Any tips against shaman?
    Quote from lordzyber »

I have been playing as Hunter recently.  I won ten games straight and then lost the next four games all against Shaman.  Since then, I have one ranked game against a Shaman with my Hunter deck.  They seem rather OP right now with all of the board control they can acquire with totems and deathrattle combos.

Whoa, that's crazy.  Shaman is absolutely the easiest win with a good Hunter deck.

For that reason, there is very, very little Shaman around.  At least at Rank 6 right now, there is probably 50% Hunter and like 5% Shaman...  It's such a terrible matchup.

So to the OP I would say not to worry to much about Shaman.  As you rise the ranks you'll likely face only a couple.  It's a bit tough as a Ramp Druid, yes.  You could run double-combo - which is probably better at bursting down Shaman (they have no life gain), but I think it's just pointless to craft your deck around that particular matchup.

It's an interesting deck going full-on with deathrattles...  I'm going to try it.  Right now though, Priest seems like a bit better fit for the meta.

posted a message on New P2W Shaman Reincarnate Deck - 70% win rate from rank 10 to 4

This deck absolutely stomps Handlock...  I didn't draw a single Hex, and the opponent played both Twilight Drakes, both Moltens (and Faceless'ed one, so got 3 actually) and one Mountain Giant - I still destroyed him.  I wouldn't say he made any large mistakes either, it's just a terrible matchup for them.

One cool combo I figured out - Al'Akir synergized with Crazed Alchemist.  If you don't draw your Rockbiters or already used them, you can use science to turn Al'Akir into a 5/3 and do 10 damage instead of only 6.  Good for that final burst!  I guess if someone was stupid enough not to kill Ak'Akir the turn he is dropped, you could also Crazed Alc + Rockbiter + Rockbiter for 22 damage!

A priest just played Deathlord on me, turn 3.  Pulled Al'Akir from my deck!  He ragequit obviously (didn't actually concede but closed Hearthstone "your opponent left")

I think the downside on this card is too great, unless Zoo becomes closer to 40-50% of decks on ladder.

posted a message on My Shamen death rattle and burst deck

Maybe you are right with Rivendare...  It just sucks to have a 4 you can't really play on curve.  More like a BGH-type utility card I guess - but it's 4-mana.  I want to play more with Rivendare though.  Perhaps when Undertaker is released, we can go full-on with a deathrattle deck?

I would personally remove Bloodlust for the Earth Shock probably.  Bloodlust is a card that can win games but I've always though decks are less consistent with it clogging up a hand.

I have a hard time running less than 2x earth shock with all the things needing silence now...  Along with spell power you can kill Argent Commanders, Haunted Creepers or Eggs outright for 1 mana!

I ran Baron Rivendare for awhile but got hardly any value for him.  But maybe I didn't give him enough of a chance.  Do you usually hold onto him for lategame or play him on curve?

posted a message on New P2W Shaman Reincarnate Deck - 70% win rate from rank 10 to 4

    Love it!  Reincarnage :D

So I've found the most problems with Hunter...  Zoo is quite beatable if you get a good draw.  I often stabilize around 10-15 health and then just stomp them.

Hunter is really annoying.  Actually I've had the most luck NEVER dropping a totem.  Yes, even if it means passing a turn 5 completely.

I made some changes to the deck:
-1 Leeroy.  He is only useful for a finisher and thus a dead card most of the time.  With Shaman's lack of draw, any dead cards are really bad.

-1 Reincarnate.  Love the card but if you get two in your hand, it can be terrible.

-1 Deathlord.  It's a dead card against control (unless you want Rag or Ysera summoned for free!).  It's pretty good against zoo but doesn't seem like a gamechanger.  Usually just gets Soulfired.

-1 Unstable Ghoul.  I don't think this was in the original decklist?  Anyway, I'd consider trying it I suppose.  Lategame its a very bad draw though.

+1 Loot Hoarder.  Need draws with this deck and the early game doesn't hurt.

+1 Crazed Alchemist.  It's a nice counter to Deathlord, Maexenna and other low attack creatures.  Also some early game if necessary.

+1 Stormforged Axe.  Great against Zoo.

+1 Senjin.  This deck is obviously really low on 4 drops.  It's good against Hunter and Zoo and fills out the mana curve.

posted a message on [Curse of Naxxramas] Zoo matchup ?

Wow, isn't Abomination one of the worst cards you could run in Shaman?  Kills your totems...  I understand it can counter zoo, but it seems like it would be terrible in any other matchup.  If you want a turn 5 taunt I think Sludge Belcher is more well-rounded (great against Miracle and the Druid combo)
