This was honestly hellish. They seriously need someone on the inside to test these when the first fight takes like 7 tries. Not even talking about the last one which felt like a shitty puzzle with a very specific order of playing the cards.

It's a good question actually, and i'm leaning towards your theory, just because everything else would be non-interactive and deceptive - how would the game telegraph what's the original cost of the card after being discounted?
