It's not just laziness. There just aren't plans to encorporate Rush into more expansions than the Witchwood, which means that in 2 years the only card with Rush left in Standard would be Charge. It's the same reason why a card like Y'Shaarj wasn't updated to get Recruit.

I'm curious what deck you're running. What fun deck are you bringing to the table that this deck is pushing out of the format?

Only play deck that have no 1-5 drops except for anti aggro tools, no ice blocks, because it is uninteractive. You can play tank-up warrikr because for some reason stalling a game into fatigue is okay as a warrior and it is forgiven being uninteractive. No combo decks after ir has been out for a day. Control priest is okay, but dont steal too much. -

RavenSunHP posted a message on Hearthstone is now called TechstonePosted in: General DiscussionSilence is there to stay because the game is overcrowded with taunts, deathrattles and buffs in general.
It may not be healthy, but the lack of it would be far worse.
As for Control decks running arsenals of techs, it looks perfectly normal to me: they are meant to be able to react against most situations, and their card draw makes teching consistent.
Finally, tournament have a more specific meta, where everyone knows what's going on in their opponent lists, which makes teching much more worthwhile.

DMH_Meta posted a message on No refund for TessPosted in: Card DiscussionQuote from jeepers1704 >>No, I'm upset that you all think it's a nerf, when it's most definitely not, though like I stated, I could see how some could view it that way. And to reiterate, I'd like to think Blizzard has more integrity than to bow to the whims of the community because they think they deserve stuff for free.
You're totally divorced from reality.
I know right? the one guy that spends half his day on the salt thread actually believes in integrity of a big company which has the sole purpose of making money. giving ppl 1600 dust makes them less likely to buy packs for some days specially those ppl that are always on a limited budget, so as big as Blizzard is it for sure they have somekind of algorithm that studies the economic impact of free packs, dust etc, and they reach the conclusion that changing the card without refunding ppl would fly under the radar cause its low use card.
To some ppl 1600 dust is game changer while ppl that devote their life time and money to a f2p game like Kaladin dont want others to get free dust cause he is probably sitting on a pile of dust or has all the top decks and doesnt give a shit about the "integrity" in balance changes or how customers (us) are treated.

Put_Your_Faith_In_The_Light posted a message on No refund for TessPosted in: Card DiscussionLike I said a thousand goddamned times. I can see how some would view it as a nerf. To me, and i dont think I'm alone here, this changes LITERALLY NOTHING about how I play Tess, so this isn't a nerf.
If you said it thousand goddamned times please be quiet from now on.

Asklerino posted a message on No refund for TessPosted in: Card DiscussionAgain, nobody cares about how you in particular play the game, or how I do it or anybody else. That's all subjective and nerfs are an objective thing. They are, objectively, reducing it's power level. Now it's a worse card because it can't replay more than 30 cards and it can stop earlier. Is it a huge nerf? No, not all nerfs have to be huge things, they can be tiny changes and they are still nerfs.
It seems that what really annoys you isn't that it was nerfed and more about people wanting dust. Those are two separate things, and we can in fact have one without the other. If you just don't want to call it a nerf because it "encourages childish behavior for free dust" it's up to you, find another euphemism for nerf and call it that instead.

Kaladin posted a message on Infinite value cardsPosted in: General DiscussionI don't believe the issue isn't about the infinite value. (And, let's be clear here, we quite often exaggerate when it comes to calling something "infinite" value.)
I think the issue that people have (and they aren't correctly identifying) is what counter play, if any, exists to that "infinite" engine?
The counterplay is to go face. So if your gameplan involves fatigue or attrition, what you need to do is uninstall Hearthstone, rethink your life choices, and come back when you've finally decided to play a REAL deck like aggro or midrange.

That's the payoff for building your deck to do what it does. It's not like you just slammed that on 10 with no other relevant plays. Also one Psychic Scream answers the whole board. Twisting Nether gets it all except the Doomguard. 10 mana class legendaries should be strong.

Standalone seems like a misnomer for DK Guldan because he's based on a tribe, so he affects the way you build your deck (although "put good demons in your deck" isn't a huge restriction).
Ultimate Infestation doesn't care how you build your deck, it just works. That's the first card that sprang to my mind.
edit: The more I play with DK Rexxar the more insane had seems. It's another card that asks nothing of you and has a huge payoff. Like UI it can be good if you're ahead, at parity, or behind.

Weird that your completely unsubstantiated conspiracy theory got deleted. Deleting dumb shit isn't censorship, it's called moderating.

They're giving everyone free golden cards, isn't that enough?
2
Do you really need the Malygos package? There's no OTK so you have to play a 9 drop and hope it and you both survive AND have enough burn in hand. No Crackle or Jade Lightning hurts the burn plan, maybe shaman spellstone is more reliable. I'd also much rather have Hexes than Prince V, or maybe Spellbreaker so you can push your giants through to hit face. But the strategy of playing cheap overstatted minions seems solid, good luck with your deck.

I don't believe the golden pack affects the pity timer. Here's the quote from the twitch prime promotion:
"*Offer valid only in regions where Twitch Prime is available. Must own Hearthstone to redeem. Golden Card pack contains Classic cards. These packs use the new pack opening rules regarding duplication protection, but will otherwise have an independent chance of containing Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary cards unrelated to any special rules (such as a guaranteed Legendary within 10 packs) nor other Hearthstone Sets, including Classic. Each Blizzard account may only redeem one code per promotional item."
2
It's not even good in recruit hunter since it's overstatted for its mana cost due to the drawback. The card is trash, enjoy your 1600 dust.

I think the order of reveals is also a big factor in missed predictions. A lot of the generic aggro/tempo cards get dumped on the last day of reveals, so while everyone is theory crafting around the cool new epics and legendaries, cards like Small Time Buccaneer and Corridor Creeper don't get noticed until they start destroying everything in their path. People tend to think the meta will be slower than it turns out to be. People who enjoy brewing aren't usually into fast decks, so they often miss the strength of aggro cards.
People also tend to overestimate the drawback of deck building restrictions versus payoff cards (Prince K, Baku/Genn, people were even unsure about Reno). But I agree that it's cool that out takes a while to figure out which cards are good and that we the community are wrong a lot.

15 packs isn't that many, Dark Pact was the only common that got nerfed (unless I'm misremembering), so hoping to spike a specific epic or rare is pretty unrealistic.
To answer your question, I pulled a gold Dark Pact and a Lackey (high roller over here).
