Mine still says back in 2 hours :(

EU comes up 2 hours earlier than US.

Interesting Brawl - a random element like UP, but constructed. The wording is a little awkward; it could mean one of two things:

    1) The minion you get back is one that costs 2 less than the one that died (ie. Wisp from Bloodfen Raptor, Goldshire Footman from Shattered Sun Cleric)
    2) The minion you get back is completely random, but costs 2 less mana to play (so pretty much Unstable Portal effect)

Can anyone confirm? I'm guessing it's the first one to allow for more interesting deckbuilding than just what happened with bananas (lots of deathrattle-spawners like Haunted Creeper and Harvest Golem), but it'd be nice to know for sure.

Very solid card - and incidentally, generally when you actually need the heal (against rushier decks), you'll almost surely have the odds in your favour.

We know how solid 5/5 for 5 is, so hopefully this card can help slow the meta down a bit.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Silencing only increases health if the minion is at full health, and has had a health-set effect applied to it.

For example, if you Hunter's Mark a damaged Boulderfist Ogre, then silence it, it should go back to 7 health.

Pretty decent in arena. Don't think it will see play in constructed - great stats, but just vanilla.

Pretty good card. If it dies the turn it comes out it's just a vanilla 2/3; if not you get some very important ramp (turn 2 Aspirant into turn 4 Shredder is going to be a great tempo play).

While there are some ways to take advantage of the battlecry/deathrattle - silence and return to hand, for two - I don't think it's necessary. Just the fact that you can get a Wild Growth without card disadvantage is huge.

However, probably one angle you could potentially take with this that may not appear immediately apparent: buff. While druid doesn't have as playable a buff as Velen's Chosen or Blessing of Kings, there could be potential for a druidic buff deck - and of course, anyone that's done Zombie Chow + Velen's Chosen knows that if they silence off the buff, they're also silencing the drawback.

Am I the only one that thinks this is worse than Flame Imp?

The best bit about Flame Imp is that it competes with almost all 2 drops and doesn't die to hero powers.
The worst bit about Demonguard is that many other 2 drops.

A 4/3 for 2 is definitely above curve, and damage-to-face is a better drawback than discarding a card. I just wonder if it's going to do nearly enough to warrant inclusion in zoo.
Someone mentioned running it over Ancient Watcher in handlock - a possibility, for sure, though losing 2 health in the early game hurts when you're talking taunting up (not to mention that you'd end up taking much more damage with the Demonguard route).
The possibilities for demolock are good though. A solid 2 drop demon for it, that doesn't rely on a buff like Demonfire.

How to make a new card according to Blizzard.

    Step 1- Take an old card buried somewhere on your collection;

    Step 2- Reduce its stats and mana cost in half. Also reduce its rarity;

    Step 3-??????

    Step 4- Profit!!

Take a look at all the cards. Come back. Correct your error !

There's an error? Looks like half an Argent Commander to me.

In any case... the potential for card advantage can't be ignored, but it doesn't feel good enough for most decks. Generally it's, at best, going to kill a 1 or 2 drop and leave a vanilla 2/1 behind. It's no Implosion, to say the least. It almost feels like a Frostbolt/Darkbomb/Quickshot, except you're paying 1 more and losing 1 damage to get a 2/1. That's fair, but I don't think that's good enough for a competitive meta. It wouldn't surprise me if someone makes it work, but if I were a betting man I'd bet on seeing it about as much as Raid Leader.

Arena will be interesting. Living the dream (turn 3 to kill an x/2) will be a good tempo play in most cases. Turn 5 with Velen's or MotW or 6 with BoK will all be fairly strong plays.Seems like a slightly-above-average pick.

As others have mentioned - slightly bigger buff than Demonfire, but with drawback and without versatility. Not even close to being worth it.

Played on turn 4, it's fair. On turn 6, it's an inferior Fire Ele - that becomes arguably superior if you end up getting the chance to HP once or twice more while its alive.

Based on the current meta I'm skeptical of it being good enough, but it's certainly an intriguing card, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone makes it work.

Obviously it's very decent in arena, and will be a high pick for sure.

Looking forward to it. Reminds me a bit of Drakk, but given that you can play more than one card a turn + use hero powers, and are against varied opposing decks, things are obviously a bit different.

If nothing else, advancing to 10 mana off the bat leads to more control (and combo), and less aggro. Certainly don't mind an aggro shift like that.

Will probably lead off with priest (primarily due to Lightbomb - lock is another obvious choice, but I'd have to craft 2x Twisting Nether and I don't want to do that just yet). Was also looking at shaman, if for nothing more than turn 1 shenanigans with things like turn 1 KT + Reincarnate, but the problem with investing in a play like that is that aggro lock is going to be able to play slightly more expensive than usual, and vomit a lot of presence on turn 1 and 2.

Interestingly, this is also the week where I'd planned to start doing a series on how to get the best leg up when starting a new account, or being a new player. Tavern Brawl was going to feature due to an easy free pack each week, but this week... unless one class manages to dominate enough to force concedes (which has happened in previous weeks) it's going to be very tough for me to get that free pack on the new account.

Edit: paladin could be another option. Can include more Equality enablers than usual, and double Lay on Hands.

Not really enthused by this one. As someone said, a lot of the time it's just going to be a case of a coin flip, where it's a yes or no answer to "does my stuff suck more or less than his".

I played an opponent who got double Tirion - added him after and told him it was a pretty sick draw (I couldn't complain; I'd been able to Blood Knight for value on turn 4), to which he mentioned that that's why he chose paladin, as Tirion is almost surely the best class legend. Swapped from lock to pally, played a lock in the next game, and got both Tirion and Fordring. Looked like my opponent had it as he had pretty decent answers at every step of the way, but unfortunately after putting me to 6 he couldn't answer my Maexxna and my Demolisher - which allowed for Maex to get Abusive Sergeant, Blessing of Kings and Blessed Champion for 16 and lethal.

Besides the *rare* cool and unusual play like that, most of the time it's going to be fairly mundane games where either you or your opponent has less sucky stuff than the other (*or* is playing warlock and has stuff with close enough quality to yours, + life tap).

Looking forward to trying it in half an hour. Anyone who's already tried it; any tips on class?

I imagine lock would be the best default simply due to having the best hero power (especially true if you can't construct your deck and have to rely on random minions) while still having some strong class cards, but then, lucking into stuff like Flamestrike could be quite devastating.

Basically, it's a pseudo-anthem effect for beasts. Balancing such a card was difficult; I feel like 5 mana for a 3/4 body is in the ball park, if not a bit on the strong side. Needs 2+ beasts to be affected by the ability after being played in order to justify the mana cost (as he loses ~2/2 in exchange for the ability), but has strong synergy with Unleash the Hounds (with 3 enemy minions out, playing this guy and then Unleash would result in a 4/4, 3/3 and 2/2 charge - if that doesn't make sense, the first hound is affected by all 3 triggers, the second hound is affected by only the last two, and the third hound is only affected by the trigger it causes itself).

While that may seem devastating, at the very least such a card would promote potential midrange and control hunter decks, as opposed to early-game variants. And while the hounds stick around - and have toughness - at least such a combo is less devastating than ForceRoar, unless they play out more than 4 minions - in which case, they're not really playing around UtH at all. :-P
