Who enjoys Burst Shaman? *raises hand*
It's not face, but it replaces Crackle alright as an early consistent removal. Remember all those times you rolled 3 when you just needed 4? I certainly do.

With some luck, Shamans might finally evolve into a class.

10 HP wasn't risky enough, hah? Now Jaraxxus can play it for 10 mana with 0 HP. Shame on you Blizzard!

Tis a glorious day, Druid is no longer a force of nature,

This is the worst kind of randomness. Why the hell do they have to keep including this sort of madness?

I LOVE the mechanic and the creativity, but honestly if you've got 2 9/9s on the board you're probably winning anyway. And with the hard removal that exists out there, a 30/30 might be worse than two 9/9s a good portion of the time.
Really really cool card though!

Quote from Legend_045 >>I think that the elemental should have taunt, this would probably make bloodlust shammy good. 8 dmg (weapon) + 4 (elemental) + 4 (if you have windfury in you deck) +6 (bloodlust) =22 dmg on turn 7 with the weapon on 5
that would be so strong tho
yea i dont think tat would be a good idea

A totem would be better than an elemental. It could synergise with other shaman cards

Handlocks my main deck, so this is very disappointing, hopefully it'll still be playable but honestly I just don't see it. On the flipside, with the removal of a ton of burst from the game and the overall nerfs to silence and BGH things might even out. Time will tell.
1
People really need to stop comparing this to doomhammer, apples vs oranges, 5 mana vs 5 mana overload 2, creature removal vs face damage. One gets wrecked by Harrison jones, one actually wrecks harrison jones. I really don't get the comparisons.
This may or may not see play, but it'll have nothing to do with doomhammer imo, nerf or not, especially since doomhammer wasn't even a maintstay in midrange shaman decks(back when they existed).

Varian does kinda suck since like 90% of the creatures in the deck have battlecries. However, even if you miss out on the battlecries, you're getting a 7/7, a 2/4 and let's say a 2/2 all for 10 mana, in addition to thinning out your deck. I'm still not 100% sold on him, I'm not sure if I'm just biased because he pulled gromm(I run gromm) and Ysera the last time I played him, or if he's actually a really good card. But that's what experimentation is for I guess.

I'm kinda disappointed it wasn't therazane, was hoping we'd get the 4th elemental lord(although I guess she could still be a neutral). This card seems pretty awesome though, although it is a massive tempo loss, but so if thaurissan so yea. It's probably going to need it's own deck though, can't imagine he'd fit in a regular midrange shaman.
1
I think it would have been better as a battle cry, but at the same time I feel this'll probably be better than it seems on paper.

Lol, can't tell if this is really good or bad, but at the very least I like the attempt at something interesting. Looking forward to seeing people experiment with this.

By this logic hunters shouldn't run eagle horn bow because of harrison, yet... they do. Nevermind the fact that you want this weapon to die so you can get the deathrattle. Heck Harrisons always been in the meta yet there was a time some shamans were running 2 doomhammers.
If this card doesn't become a thing, it won't be because of harrison, it'll be because it only has 2 attack and comes down on turn 4.

Nah, adding a card whose main draw is to sit in your hand for most of the game just isn't a good idea imo. His ability just isn't very good, paladin struggles with card draw so the last thing you want is a card that just empties your entire hand.
And for what? A 12/12 that's just going to get BGHed the next turn?
1
Yep, even if the next dragon you draw is the second consort, you're looking at a 3 mana 5/5 that makes your next dragon cost 2 less. I just love everything about this card. My only issue with this card is it costs 5, so it makes it difficult to run this, Azure Drake, and Blackwing technician in the same deck. But I'm sure we'll figure it all out.
2
Yea kinda disappointed this isn't a neutral, but this might turn me into a paladin player for sure. The fact that you don't even have to have a dragon in your hand when you play this just makes this card all kinds of awesome. Automatic two off in any dragon deck imo.
