Zoo is a term from MTG that most commonly describes a Naya colored control-aggro deck that used burn and cheap mana-efficient creatures like apes, lions, nacatls. Its one of the top deck types in the Modern format.
A while back, people say, at least from what I've heard that Reynad conceived Hearthstone's iteration when he promoted the use of Dire Wolf Alpha, Shieldbearer, and Doomguard into the original aggro shell to deal better trades. While Zoo isn't OP, as it is arguable that there is no such thing as a perfect deck, it is effective as a ladder climbing deck due to its speed and cheap crafting cost.
The deck's gone through a bit of iterations including other cards like Elven Archer and Amani Berserker as well. At the moment, its transitioning into a more Deathrattle based deck due to the addition of Naxx cards.
The current pricing is quite fair. I'm just a bit disappointed that the final wing has to be bought instead of unlocking for free after completion of the previous wings, as originally intended.
People that want Leeroy nerfed are those that have never enjoyed the bliss of pulling a Leeroy finisher off. Blizzard is not planning to nerf Leeroy any time soon because they feel that the upcoming Naxx cards would provide the answers players need for the current meta.
If the web-cached version of the "fan-made" leak (wowhead) were to be believed, the legendary card Loatheb (Cards with Battlecry cost 5 more), depending on its unreleased stats and cost, may be quite effective or even a staple in control decks, mainly Warrior Control. If left alive, it'll gimp Twilight Drakes, Sunfury Protectors, Earthen Ring Farseers, Defenders of Argus, Azure Drakes, Oozes, Harrison Jones, Fire Elementals, and more importantly Leeroy Jenkins finishers. Just food for thought.
I'm curious about the interactions when both decks play Feugan and Stalagg. The wording means that if any of them die in the game, regardless of player, Thadeus comes out. It might be a double edged sword. Interesting.
Compared to Standard at the moment which is ruled by 5 decks, namely Mono-black Devotion, Azorius Devotion, Gruul/Jund Monsters, Esper Control, and Boros Burn/RDW, the limited meta in Hearthstone is not much different. People will gravitate to use the most successful decks to ladder because they get the job done, like all netdecks, even in MTG.
Of course when compared to the formats with more cards available like Modern or Legacy, more deck-types have been created over the course of time. With that said, HS is still fresh from beta, while MTG has had years to add new cards and develop each of its respective metas per format.
Although, some pro-HS players that have been playing since beta have confirmed that there are decks now currently that didn't even exist back then, confirming that most decks do evolve with the meta-game and new decks do arise from time to time.
Personally, I love both card games equally. I myself am a control MTG player and its a breath of fresh air when I don't have to think of responses during my opponent's turns in HS. Both games are fun and they each have their own niches to fill.

Why not adapt to the meta?

Frost Giants have been done before. It was a popular deck in beta. Just saying.

I like it. Its basically Arcane Intellect on a minion. For aggro, it can re-fill hands. For control, it can multiply value legendaries.

Limiting card multiples in arena is removing one of its key features.
