Am I the only one who thinks this Tavern Brawl is lame? I just cleared it just 1 try with warrior and that's it, no replay value. If I want gold, there is always ranked play. Repeatedly playing against AI here.. is just crap
If only there was some kind of scoring mechanism by which one could replay the brawl and try to beat their old record or someone else's record... ah, wish Blizzard had thought of that. Oh wait.
Oh boy, the creative minds over at Blizzard must have been wracking their brains trying to come up with this one. Such genius! Very stats. Much flavor. Probably a lot of sleepless nights "Do we make it a 2/2 for 1? A 2/3 for 2? A 3/2 for 2? A 3/3 for 3? Which ones don't we have already..."

My God, Ben Brode, what RNG nonsense is this? 5 legendaries, any legendaries. What Control deck won't run this? But just like with the Yogg, you get get fucked or you can instawin.
Ridiculous card.
Well... NOT "any" legendaries. Only legendaries for YOUR class and neutral legendaries, and no duplicates. So if you're playing control warrior and you have C'Thun, Twin Emperor Vek'lor, Justicar Trueheart, etc. in your deck, you aren't going to get those again.
2x Brawl is almost a requirement in this meta, not only because of zoo decks and aggro shaman, but because of classes running n'zoth. (Although I would still craft 2nd shield slam first, because shield slam is a staple card in control war.)
This might be worse then the paladin one. Just weak, lose of tempo, takes a slot in your deck. a 1/1 does nothing for tempo mage, this isn't Zoo, you can't buff it. Ethereal Conjurer is decent because you can chose from 3 options, usually 2/3 options are bad.
I would agree... BUT... you could theoretically get a third Frostbolt from this, or Arcane Blast, or Magic missiles, etc. or a Cabalist Tome, etc. on turn 1, which would allow you to play those as tempo cards.
Also notice it is not a dead card lategame! If you draw it turn 10, you can just play it and ping it yourself, maybe you'll get exactly what you needed.
It says Battlecry, not Deathrattle -- no need to ping.
The problem with too many discard/draw style cards is that, well, you only have 30 cards in your deck, and you only have so much mana to play them all, so eventually... you just deck yourself.
The entire combo uses only five or six cards I think:
You need to play Emperor Thaurissan with some combination of Charge, Raging Worgen, Faceless Manipulator, and Rampage in hand. Now I'm going to spell out how to do the combo, because I was trying to come up with a way to "nerf" this, and I was struggling to do so going over the steps.
Worgen is 3 mana. Faceless is 5 mana. Charge is 3 mana. Rampage is 2 mana. That's 13 mana. If you Emperor all four of those cards, it is 9 mana, or 10 mana if you only Emperor three of them. You also need Inner Rage in hand as well. Rage on Worgen makes it a 6/2. Rampage makes it a 9/5. Charge makes it an 11/5. Faceless lets you do 44 damage in one turn. You can substitute the Rampage with another Inner Rage or a Cruel Taskmaster to make it a 10/1 for 40 damage. Only inner rage would cost less mana (1 or 2 less, depending on emperor).
With Battle Rage, Commanding Shout, Acolyte, Loot Hoarder, Shield Block, and Slam, you're basically guaranteed to cycle through your entire deck. You have 10 cards, one third of your deck, that draw cards, with four of them able to draw more than one card. Nerfing the card drawing aspect is out of the question. What else could be nerfed? Well, without Emperor, the most damage you could do is Worgen + Faceless + Charge + 2x Inner Rage, but you would need The Coin. I've seen it done. Unfortunately, that means if you don't go second, the combo doesn't work without Emperor, so nerfing Emperor is out of the question.
What about Worgen's 1 extra damage? That's only 4 extra damage, so that's not a huge dent in the 40-44 damage department. What about Charge? I think Charge is the MAIN culprit here. It allows a minion that normally doesn't have Charge to abuse it. Even with Faceless and without Charge, you'd still have two minions that would have to be killed next turn. I think without the +2 Attack, Charge would still be used. In this combo, it would be 8 less damage. You'd still die though because the combo would do 32 damage.
There's only one class that can screw over your Tirion: Priest with Entomb/Mind Control. Or Shaman with Hex. Or Mage with Polymorph. Or Rogue with Sap. Other than that though, it's a GREAT card.

And then a Priest steals it.

I mean, there's a warlock card that summons a candle, broom, and teapot... how much more light hearted can you get?

God damn I hate this brawl.
