Writing the entire expansion off on day zero is stupid, but I can kind of see where you are coming from.
Theres a lot of archetypes they've tried to introduce that just aren't going to work because they haven't given them enough support, namely the spell only decks for Druid and Mages. But the groundworks been laid for future expansions, in the meantime, I get your frustration.
There are also plenty of other decks, and even classes that aren't going to work at all because the meta is set to be super aggressive because of hunter, warrior, rogue and DH. For example, Paladin, Shaman.
I think your right that all the dormant cards are garbage, because in the very same expansion they've added Blackjack Stunner which makes every single one of them useless.
The worst thing about this card is that it's fkin RARE. Spending cash on packs to have this as the only rare, and you better believe your getting 5 copies once you've opened everything.
If you haven't crafted it already, then you should. Shuts down any kind of Mecha-Cthun deck or Death Knight Paladin. Not fool-proof against OTK Priest but a dam good tool to have.
Totally agree, Odd Warrior is especially unwinable with this and Tempo Rogue. I can literally hear players laughing their asses off as they just hero power each turn, clear the board, hero power.
The fact that Baku isn't getting rotated means this type of aggro Rogue is going to be in a rough spot for a while.
RR is a good expansion. Fun cards, actually lots of viable legendaries etc. However, the problem is KnC and KoFT's powerlevels are too high. So it seems that Blizzard has decided the decrease the powerlevel of other expansions (Witchwood, Boomsday and RR) so that once rotation happens in April these expansions will become more relevant.
Otherwise Blizzard would be forced to release more and more broken cards which basically would ruin the game.
This. The cards of this expansion aren't the problem, the problem is the previous expansions.
I'm guessing this is because playing this on 4 would mean your just not being proactive enough so you just get killed by aggro? Just interested to hear your thinking.
The stuff you draw from melon or this card just aren't very good to have on their own. 4 mana is an awkward amount to spend for taunt druid. If you play it on curve, you're not drawing things that will be immediately relevant in the following turns. If you're playing it with 7-10 mana, there's not a lot of impactful things you can do with the remaining mana. As taunt druid, you would much rather be playing big dudes out to get them in the res pool. Stopping to draw instead almost feels like a wasted turn but you're incentivised to draw sooner rather than later because it's becoming a deader card as you draw the pull targets
Totally agree, your comments made me compare this to Branching Paths which is just so much better in Taunt Druid.
My other question for you, would you include Da Undatakah in a Taunt Druid deck?

If I just straight up swap this out for Abusive Sergeant in Tempo Rogue and Odd Rogue, they might still be ok? What do we think?

If you prioritise killing their Silver Hand Recruits and play around level up, it is winnable without fan!
Definitely a tough match up though.

Have you thought about swapping Backstab for Cold Blood? Good activater for your eggs and extra burst damage. Or possibly dropping Elven Minstrel?

You can guarantee drawing this with Countess Ashmore. For any lunatic whose actually thinking of playing this.

1600 Dust and should have about 4k gold by launch day + 4 packs from the promotion. No preorder as I'm dusting the rotated sets.
Should have attached a survey to this thread, would have been interested to see the results...

First thoughts: Clears a board of Voidwalkers and Silverhands and works well with the Lady in White.
