I requested via Battle.net support and it got denied due to:
- The product or game has been accessed for too long - The order was not placed on this Battle.net account - The order was placed outside of Battle.net (PlayStation, Microsoft, Steam) - The product is an in-game currency or item
Meh, I'm not gonna bother fighting them for $20. But at least it would register in their customer support statistics and maybe alert them that the playerbase isn't happy.
10 ranked wins is going to be impossible for me since I prefer to play Arena. 5 was already taking a lot of time for me.
In that case I just might reroll the quest and completely abandon the ladder. Sucks because I like getting the rewards for reaching Diamond 10 or Diamond 5.
If you read RidiculousHat's comments on Reddit, you can understand between the lines that he knew it would create a shitstorm and he tried to prevent it without success.
They will probably revert it to something like 10 ranked wins instead of 15 which still sucks.
That is a 20% increase in XP for 150% increase in requirements.
That's actually 200% increase in requirements.
Even if it was 3 times the reward for 3 times the effort I would completely hate it. I am already playing over an hour a day and in many cases the quests dictate what kind of mode I have to play. I often find myself farming quests in casual mode just to finish them.
Now they expect me to put 2-3 hours a day just to be able to finish the quests? No thanks, rather just drop the game altogether. Sticker shock my a$$. The fact they didn't communicate this properly ahead of time is also a huge part of the problem.
I really loved the game for 10 years and despite my friends all quitting it I kept playing and enjoyed it very much. Didn't think there could be anything that would sour me on the game but here we are...
Great summary! The game has certainly improved significantly this year.
I'm pretty sure I remember something from a few months ago about the in-game shop getting improved performance. Did I imagine that? I mean I might as well, since there are still annoying stutters whenever you enter the shop on PC.

This ain't it.
I'll be requesting a Tavern Pass refund and doubt I'll spend another cent on this game again.
