The only way he will generate minions is through animal companion and boom cannon. No to my side or spellstone. The deck gets so much weaker without it. Its going to need to be way more minion centric.

Mana wyrm needed nerfed since Vanilla. This card is super meh. Elemental mage is kinda crap.

7-1 in arena, this card carried hard. Its almost as if you drop Bonemare 4 turns in a row for an up front cost of 8. It seems like you have to hold silence for turn 6  steed, and ooze turn 8 for this. Its going to be the new meta till Blizzard bans/reduces this card. My guess is that it will happen Monday morning.

By the way, the loss was from the buff crashing the game on my phone cause I was winning too hard.

Power creep

Still will just lose to aggro. Especially without ice block. Plus control will just otk them. Card is good but not good enough for standard high tier play. Insane for arena though. Its weird that mage will be the best in one format and the worst in another.

No, draw is a premium effect in arena. This card is insane in arena. Spells are not nearly as common.

Spiteful is just worse now due to the rotation. But the card just needs a nerf. Its ruined arena runs for me, and in standard a turn 6 yar'sarj is absolute garbage.

Not pulling a 4/1 from your deck with Oaken Summons?!  Worth it.

The last expansion we saw Hunter without minions. Now we see Mage without spells. Well done, Blizzard.
