DING DING DING!
And Jagged Edge kindly illustrates exactly why there's a huge amount of skepticism at the new-found purity of streamers and content creators.
He literally said that just READING THE ACCUSATIONS should be enough to change your opinions on penalty of getting banned from this site, fired from your job (not the wrongdoers at Blizzard, but the posters on this forums jobs), and whatever other consequences are appropriate.
That's . . . insanity. But unfortunately, it's also a common belief. The accusations are all that is necessary to start taking action. It's hard to believe people still have such a willingness to believe with no particular reason whatsoever. And I hope this is obvious, but just in case, if a year from now we've had a trial and a bunch of evidence proving the allegations has come to light, that won't change a word of what I'm saying here. I'll be very glad that justice was served, but I'll also be perfectly comfortable having said at the beginning, "accusations alone don't move me in the least".
By the way Jagged, your last two sentences about "hyper aggressive male nerds" on ladder and the same who have "destroyed the work place with your man child opinions" . . . you know you have that backwards, right? The people with the bad opinions were the norm that built said workplace and said game and said . . . well, everything just about. The change is in the other direction, as folks start to realize some of the flaws in the way we used to do things. That's the whole #metoo mentality, at least among those who believe in it and aren't just out to make a buck.
There's definitely a long way to go, but the way you wrote that sounds like you think there was once some enlightened norm that is only now being threatened by the evil male nerds and man children.

truth doesn't matter to these people. neither does moral clarity. they'll be promoting this game before the next expansion arrives. money and image are the only thing that matter to these people.
they just want us all to lose some of the excitement we'd otherwise have had so they can feel morally superior to you, me and everyone else. it's a PR stunt and unfortunately impacts people who are passionate about this game.
maybe it's blizzard's fault for giving these "influencers" so much power over their brand. i hope they reconsider things after this.
none of these moral authorities have shame or logical consistency. i hope people reading this in a week stop by their streams so they can see what i'm talking about when they're back promoting blizzard products.

Agreed. I'd respect these people more if they just straight quit Hearthstone just like they are so quick to destroy the careers of others for unsubstantiated allegations.
But they won't because Blizzard is a money source for them, and that shows how much moral clarity these imposters have.

this is the most broken card of the expansion by far.

I think it's more the messenger that people are memeing. Please look into Blizzard's history to see if it has any morals and should be issuing press releases like these. The people at the top are terrible human beings that will destroy people for using platforms to stand up to oppression (see Blitzchung).
They need to stick to making cards and not selectively preening moral superiority. This press release just reminded me how disgusted I was with these people for banning that Hong Kong guy. I quit the game for a while because of it. May do so again, but I think the creative team has more of a moral compass so it's hard either way.

I'm sorry but Blizzard is so fake and the worst of the phony "woke" crowd. They have no morals or guiding principles as a company.
They criticize America for going through a healthy debate, and yet turn blind eye to Genocide and oppression in China as they make millions.
But they don't stop at silence and a blind eye in that communist nation, no, they ban people who are brave enough to express themselves against potentially losing their freedoms. But they didn't stop at banning players for speaking out, oh no, they made the man forfeit all his winnings and publicly humiliated him.
Shame on you Blizzard. You have no moral authority to preen and say you're for human rights with phony press releases like these. Stick to making new cards in Hearthstone and let people with actual moral compasses lead the way for human rights.
