I think this card is pretty good. While it's true that it's a low tempo play, you don't have to play it on curve or anything. Also the fact that it gives you 7 armor is amazing with Shield Slam on turn 8 or Reckless Flurry on turn 10 for a 7 damage AoE minimum. The battlecry could also turn out being really good depending on what late game/control oriented mechs we get.

This also sort of fits in the OTK Devilsaur version of quest Druid. Itself counts towards the quest while tutoring your cubes in the process. The 4 mana 2/5 rush isn't too bad either, it's basically a 4 mana removal that counts towards your quest.

Could be pretty good in value pally with Applebaum, Tiron, and Chillblade Champions. None of the neutral rush cards that have been revealed so far seem that great at the moment though.

Excited for this card is Baku Warrior. It also has taunt in case you want to run the quest as well.

I'd keep it until all of the Shaman cards are revealed from the new expansion. If Shaman happens to get some high value spells Runespear could potentially be quite good. It's also plausible that Shaman will get some control tools considering that most late game hero cards thus far have been control oriented.

Shaman still being paying for the sins of Midrange Shaman I see.

What? How? No other class has a 2 mana deal 8 spell, it's very good.
It's 5 mana counting the overload which is worse than Assassinate, a card that doesn't see play. The overload cards that have seen play either affected the board in a big way, e.g Volcano, Elemental Destruction, Lightning Storm, or they were face cards e.g Crackle, Feral Spirit, and 4 mana 7/7. And the latter were mainly great because of Tunnel Trogg.
That's not really how overload works though. The fact that it is 2 mana when you play it means you have more mana left over to do other stuff on the same turn. If you use this on turn 5 you still have 3 mana you can use to bring out a minion or use another spell. Overload provides flexibility at the cost of having less mana the turn after. This card also has synergies with other Shaman cards because it overloads, making it much much better than "just 5 mana" and Assassinate. In other words, you're dumb.
"I don't agree with you, so therefore that makes you dumb" Please enlighten me what viable Shaman deck this fits in? Also what 'Overload 3' card has seen competitive play? Only Earth Elemental has on occasions and it was never even close to one of the best decks.

So you pay 1 more mana for Stealth and the Demon tag? Seems questionable. Although Bloodfury Potion is really good. And it's important to note that it curves somewhat well into Scalebane.

Only 1 health off of Ancient of War for costing 1 less is huge. Although it not being able to attack is rather annoying. Though I still think that Bonemare will be popular and this doesn't do a very good job at contesting the board at all and likely dies to a Bonemared minion. Has potential though.

I can see this being potentially used in hunter as a way of consistently getting Crackling Razermaw off.

@Kaladin I think their point is that it shuts off Raza and Kazakus for awhile. Still seems bad though.

This pulling Void Lord, the 1/7 taunt elemental, and Vulgar Homunculus seems quite good potentially.

Ideally, it would hit at least 5 around 65% of the time so you can kill a Cobalt Scalebane that was played on curve. Really powerful card for control mage though. The AOE introduced in this expansion is on a rather high power level.
