Should I DE Hanar?
This is a hidden pool my friend. The game does not want you to be on a long streak. Every last star of each rank I face counter to my deck. Old system, current system, doesn’t matter. This happens already for a couple of years. The only thing you can do is to counter this shit by yourself. So in my case, when I am 1 win off the next rank I simply counter pick.
yes, there is an official answer for that:
"Golden packs are so rare, with no expectation to get enough of them to hit any pity timers, that we made them completely independent rolls, every time."
Totally agree with this huge change to aldor attendant! Finally a good 1 mana drop to be on a tempo race against aggro decks. Sometimes playing nothing on turn 1 (those sleeping murlocs costed me dozens of games) cause you real trouble. Next season will take a push with pure pally.
seems legit. D2 is a very close to legend my friend, just push this shit to that orange icon!
Fan of knives seems very good tech. turn 5 with Thalnos or simply clearing all lackeys against rogue to prevent next turn Toggwagle is sweet.
Waiting on your follow up comments my man. GL!
first of all thanks for your kind attitude and nice words. As for cats: i personally find this minion is the best turn 1 for rogue. It has a solid body (for example DH can not just kill it with his hero power by its own) and also this is a potential target for your Praise Galakrond!. so if you cut off cats, you are awfully loosing tempo. For example, again, against DH. What will play on turn 1 without a coin to be in tempo against his early minions according to your deck list with no cats in it? Sap? Shiv? Or you just wait till turn 3 to Seal Fate one of his minions? This is very bad for your health. And you probably will not have a chance to come back. But Cat can give you 2 mana minions for the following turn and they are also reborn ones so you are staying in business and can contend the board.
I have no dreams of ever reaching legend, or even getting close, but I would like to give as good as I get or something near it after around 20 games.
Hello, user! First of all, to have any sort of success playing rogue (or particulary any class or deck) you should ask yourself about purpose and end point goal. For example you want to reach a 500 win portrait or you want to reach diamond 5\legend\bronze 5 for the first time (doesn't matter what rank you choose, you simply need to have a goal).
Secondly - you start to know your deck. You must keep in mind all of your available resources and your deck potential in every game you play. Knowing your deck gives you ways to win and what to pray for when drawing cards.
Thirdly - you need to know current meta decks. Hsreplay, hstopdecks, etc. Facing any opponent must give you a clear picture of what deck you are playing against. Knowing your enemy gives you wide board of decisions to make while playing. For example you are playing against gala priest and he dropped his 2x plague of death and soul of mirror. You might think that you now can easily spam the board with minions but suddenly he drops fully invoked galakrond and kills 4 of your minions and you now have no board. Or simply against dragon hunter you max your Edwin on turn 5 and leave him alone on the table. Your opponent plays Rotnest drake and you are nearly lost this game.
Next stop is a work on your mistakes. Your should learn every loss you get. Getting all sort of knowledge on why did you loose your last game gives you precious experience and future win potential.
And the last but not the least - playing rogue you should always think ahead 1-2 turns and take time on decision making. Nowadays hearthstone (i am not talking about aggro-aggro match-ups) is more like a game of chess. 1 mistake can cost you a loss. I made legend with Malygos rogue two previous seasons, so believe me, i know what i am talking about :D
That's it for now, user. Good luck.
Please dont buy this. Make Blizzard see this is too expensive for 6 packs. Golden or not.
You do realize this is literally the best deal they've ever offered right? I know that card-wise it's kinda low, but dust wise is insane. 15 packs of any expansion cost 20 bucks (Well $19.99 in case someone's picky) and while it does give you a bunch more card, it gives you like 800-1k dust on average. The 6 golden packs give you at WORST 1800 dust for $5 less. I honestly could not care less about the cards themselves but the fact that at worst I'll get 1.8k dust is really really good, that's a legendary of my choice so yeah, it's indeed a lot less cards but in the long run is so so much better
Thank you! This is an amazing deck! I have 75% WR, but I've played only 8 games so far. But killing an opponent with full HP is a great pleasure! It has some difficulties with aggro matchups, but meta is a little bit slow now, so that's not a problem. I have only 2 stars left to legend and I think, I will go further with this deck.
So I started today from D3 and was trying to come up with a list that was running cats as I said before and after getting legend (13-4) I saw that I was running the same list as yours here haha. Cats doing good singlehandedly carried vs DH so imo this current list is the best iteration - if you know every in and outs and playing to your chances perfectly then you can beat everyone easily , you have every tool at your disposal (sometimes finding where you failed is very hard and that's why rogue was the only class that stayed with me from the very beginning - there is no same match and you need to think about every little detail - no other class gave me that feeling and you made me try it again after a long break so you are a god and I want to thank you dude for finding this gem - found second love because it was always like that for me but I needed to find a deck that would interest me and it was a bullseye - so this first and second you are a kind person exchanging tips and I found my best list with your help a lot faster than by going all alone - no second class [this season at least] comes even close to that feeling that every detail is important and is not completly black or white (I mean that most classes have best plays and there is not that much even to think of - only rogue give me that feeling that it is constantly evolving and finding fun in doing the most you can do every match to play to your highest wr % chances other classes are limited by many things and just thinking about every enemy worst move vs you is gonna give you so much invaluable info that it will make your gameplan much easier to correct one). Sorry for a long ass post without edit but don't have that much of time for now and was trying to catch every thought that I wanted to share so again gl , thanks for everything and I wish you a wonderfull day!
ps1: forgot about an important thing - even going into legend rank I didn't found a single rogue that would impress me - (don't get me wrong I won't say that I am the best in the world but I mean that noone could outhink me this is first and most important thing [not talking about rng swings that were there regardless of my decisions , not trying to prove I am omnipotent ;) ] and the second most importamt thing is that people didn't even try to suit the deck to they liking (going for "new" useless shits like that 1/5 secret legendary , secret packages etc just because they are new and flashy and I value things that I will consistently use them to the best usages out there - if you know your shit you will fucking slay them (it should be a crime to be that ahead sometimes - best feeling ever :D). Abuse that weak secret package , 99% don't even know what is the most important thing going rogue vs rogue and being 3 steps ahead of your enemy is imo the best feeling ever.
Bamboozle is sometimes killing them when I wait more than half of a match to trigger it and then when for example when I have the upperhand and they need to survive you will most of the time break their taunt for nothing (1/1 minion or just dagger going and most of the time it won't roll a taunt for them - some guys don't count cards all the time and you can burn them smart with dirty tricks etc. ;) being smart and getting rewarded for it doing everything you can to win is my way to have fun and only rogue can give me that - it is addicting tho for sure and that's why I will thank you again => thinking=OP ^^
The only other solution is to not post those decks and leave that class off this news post completely, even though there are people out there who might see this deck here and decide to play it cause they love that particular class.
There's no 100% perfect way to do this, but this is the most equal to all classes wether they are current hot topics or not.
My current list isn't that great vs DH but I came into conclussion that if backstab/seal/praise isn't enough vs them then I lose regardless (god even gala+alex sometimes is not enough when they know their outs and closing with perfect lethal after skulls and altruis ;) also not trying to be salty just giving my 3 cents because sometimes you feel hopeless for sure and going for alex & gala resets sometimes even is not enough but I try to play to the chances) so I decided to follow my personal taste and I don't have any room for cats (dh matchup felt that for sure 10-14 haha) - currently tring out more spell heavy variants switching between one shiv or fan) - d2 right now we will se how it will go ;)
(oh yeah also a thing to note try to play less on nights because after a few matches I sometimes go into weird autopilot mode and missing something that will in the end lose me the match hahah)
@gm6 gonna try a list with cats today so I'll let you kniow how it went later :P
Great write up!
I'm glad that you gave alex a second chance - she can be invaluable for sure. Also how are your pharaoh cats going? Sometimes I miss them but I haven't got enough place for them and instead after adding thalnos I added even more support as you probably saw on my imgur link because I thought that thalnos needs a package to be even stronger (I was even considering a fan but couldn't find that much space and si7 sometimes is too game changing to lose him).
I got rank 2 and all stars but got down to dia 5 again and gonna try my luck today - if I will come up with any reasonable changes I'll let you know but for I'll try my luck with what I have (copied the deck to have more specific info on my tracker gonna post some notes after todays grind).
Have a wonderful day everyone and stay on the bright side - don't get consumed on the "negativity bias" and stay calm.
I said one week or two ago that this deck was trash. I guess i was wrong i didnt gave up on this deck and managed to hit legend. I want to thank to YoshiAngel for this amazing deck and want to apologize for writting a bad comment about a deck that i didnt play long enough! https://imgur.com/a/VLDiqiH
Update after day : got diamond 5 with the same list as above 40-21 going from dia 10 to dia 5 is not that bad I guess but I had a moment where I was getting a star , downranking a star but after some matches I feel more comfortable for sure
Hey dud this deck is amazing, since i played this deck i have 3 wins in a row, i know its low, but i didnt loose any matchup, 1 mage and 2 priests, i dont even come to make the otk, if u draw alex with 0 its already mostly a win.
Ouh keep in mind i have the version with Alextrasza
