Blizzard as usual will completely miss the obvious: Big Beast Hunter is everywhere because Control Priest completely strangles the life out of absolutely every other deck in the entire format. Do you want to play ANYTHING that isn't Hunter or an ultra-greedy control deck? Fuck you. 5 Amun'Thuls backed up by 8 board wipes. It's completely impossible for any deck to go under Control Priest, so the only option you have is to go over them. Ohey, what goes over infinite board control? Instant death burn & 32 charge damage from nothing. What are all the most obnoxious decks that you're all talking about above right now? What do you know, they're all combo burn decks and Big Hunter. This has been true in every control meta that has ever existed in Hearthstone's history. The best control deck kills every fair deck in the format, and then the only thing left is that control deck and its counters: usually combo decks like Freeze Mage. Since they've taken Warlock out back and given it a good bonk, now it's time to break Priest's kneecaps so fair decks can actually come out and crack some Hunter skulls.

Ophion-EU posted a message on Hot or Not: Titans Nerf PredictionsPosted in: General DiscussionHunter is going to ger nerfed, that's the only one I'm certain about. Both Hound Hunter and Secret Hunter are overperforming. Besides that they will probably do some buffs to underplayed archetypes.
I would personally like to see Nature Shaman nerfed. I just don't like getting OTK'd on turn 5-6, it feels awful even if it doesn't happen every game.

LemmiwinksHUN posted a message on pre-purchase motivationPosted in: Standard FormatI promised myself to only purchase bundles and items in the shop which doesn't contain any random element.
So no pre-orders, pack bundles, only mini-sets, skins or battle-passes.
My experience with the game is a lot more positive this way. You always imagine all the shiny golden legendaries you want to open and end up with regular Duskfallen Avianas instead. This way you get what you pay for.

my dilemma is to spend or to multiply.
I don't think that you'll see much growth coming from this investment thou ;)
I would ask my self "when will I spend all of my resources?". One day you'll quit playing this game and by then, every grain of dust will practically be wasted. Of course you can just make a lot of golden cards in the end, but you wouldn't post this if you just enjoyed spending money on the game right?
If I were you I would just get the battle pass for the green XP and other cosmetic features that make me feel better and start butchering some of that dust. You won't even spend half of it anyway.

skymarshall78 posted a message on pre-purchase motivationPosted in: Standard FormatIf you're willing to spend money but want to cheapskate through this expansion, you can probably get by with the battlepass plus one of the bundles blizz puts out when the expansion drops - there is often one with 10 expansion packs, 10 standard packs and 2 legendaries for around half the cost of the small preorder. This assumed you're willing to burn through some of that dust, and it's a risk as they don't announce those bundles in advance. I've been trying to cut down too as similarly have ridiculous amounts of dust unused.

Trigota posted a message on pre-purchase motivationPosted in: Standard FormatIts 80 or 50 for only a small part of the content of 1 expansion. That is too much imo. One can buy some complete games for that price on a steam summer sale. Just for the pricing alone i will not buy it no matter what position i am in with current collection/gold/dust.
Apart from the price, 4800g and 62k dust is a big buffer to sit on and should be good enough.

DatMageDoe posted a message on Old player what to do with my golds?Posted in: General DiscussionSet rotation is happening in less than a month, which is relevant because cards from the Forged in the Barrens, United in Stormwind, and Fractured in Alterac Valley sets will be rotating. As a result, it is a good idea to avoid buying packs for those sets and hold onto Standard packs until after the rotation.
With that in mind, these are the things right now for Standard:
- Card packs for Voyage to the Sunken City, Murder at Castle Nathria, and March of the Lich King: The first 10 packs of any set are guaranteed to contain a Legendary card, and it does the best job of building your collection.
- One of the mini-sets. These give you less cards total (a full playset for 35-38 cards), but that includes 4 fixed Legendaries for 2000 gold, a good deal but kinda bad at bolstering your collection.
- The Path of Arthas mini-set. The same price as a mini-set (2000 gold) and it gives you a full playset for 30 cards (including 3 Legendaries), all for one class (Death Knight). Only buy this if you're interested in playing Death Knight.
- Mercenaries packs are for a separate mode and should not be purchased if you're only interested in Constructed.
If you want to build with Rogue in mind, I'll suggest Murder at Castle Nathria or March of the Lich King packs. Both of those sets contain great Rogue cards in the form of Concoctions and Miracle packages, which go great together. The mini-sets don't really give Rogue anything that special.

Zizka posted a message on Bot PandemicPosted in: General DiscussionSo I figured some of you might think I’m making this up or exaggerating but, those are my last five games. All Death knight bots. I don’t know if I’ll get 10 bots in a row.
I’ve now reached 12 wins in a row.

good point mate, good point. but you are missing the point right there by yourself forgetting about so called "meta triangle" which works like this: aggro beats combo -> combo beats control -> control beats aggro. So priest easily gets killed by OTK decks.
As for hound hunter - it can beat any deck (because it is a combination of aggro, control and OTK).
and stats right now looks terrible, look at the premium tier 1 standings from HSreplay. you have hunter at elite status and all the others below.

it is very easy to nerf Hound Hunter not disturbing DK: just exclude "beast" from its minion type, leaving just "undead" there.

Tried your list yesterday, 4 wins out of 4 games:
1. OTK shaman - stood no chance, easy win turn 7.
2. Rainbow mage - also no chance there, easy win turn 9.
3. Control priest - i got ideal starting hand with impressive mana curve forthcoming turns, he healed much, but didnt make it, win on turn 10.
4. Mech rogue - no chance here, by the time she developed her board i got all my freezing stuff and she didnt even move man, simply concede turn 8.
of course this sample size is too low to make any obective conclusions, but all in all impressive start for the deck with no cards from titans expansion. i personally love it mate. Id like you to send me your battle tag in messages, will add you to my friend list if you do not mind. Big up bro.

Yo Pushover, way to go man with your first streaming and getting 3 of 4 dude.
good piloting that deck mate, I would tilt hands down bro if I had those shitty starting hands full of 4/4+ cards.
anyways, don’t get me wrong, but I mean your opponents were slightly preferable man. But the question is: what about facing hound hunters / arcane secret hunters / control priests / control thief priests / mech rogues / control blood DKs? Decks which can make you suffer any day of the week, any time, any place.
I am personally playing full unholy DK list and those decks above are just stomping man, did you ever faced any of them during your grinding to legend? Cause I am at legend 5k now (got LGND at rank 1104 or so) and I freaking tired of loosing bro.

my dilemma is to spend or to multiply.
1
depends on deck, bro. what class do you prefer?
I use ETC in ramp druid, where band contains of:
Alexstrasza the Life-Binder,
Capture Coldtooth Mine
and
The Sunwell

it doesn't make sense, dude. dumb opponent with an awful deck = easy win. Why should you quit those games?
you should answer yourself a question: why you are playing HS? if the answer is "for fun" - then make a meme deck and play casual. ^_^
Otherwise do not quit games ffs.
2
Good deck. looses to heavy control DK, but all in all stats in high ranks are pretty solid.
7
Definetely giving this eye candy a try!

So i played about 30+ games with this deck.
After all, i figured out that 2x[card]Graveyard Shift[/card] is a very useful tool for generating corpses (3 mana for 4 bodies + 4 corpses is a very good deal).
And at the point of reaching D2 the final list differs from yours only with 2 cards:
- 1x [card]Brann Bronzebeard[/card],
- 1x [card]Sire Denathrius[/card]
+1x [card]Plague Strike[/card],
+1x [card]The Scourge[/card].
By the way, The Scourge won number of games for me. It is very useful high rolling late game.
And also provides a spicy randomness: you can recieve a Bonelord Frostwhisper and die in 3 turns or you can get Dar'Khan Drathir and instantly last hit your opponent with 6 dmg (both happened in my games).
all in all big up bro.
