Try CW vs Exodia mage in a meta without any tech like Dirty Rat or when your opponent coin a Keleseth...
Turn 2 Keleseth decide a lot of games but not even close to turn 3 Barnes.
Old gods and Justicar control warrior vs freeze mage was the most polarizing matchup in the game history afaik, and it was around 95% favoured for the warrior.
I am not sure if the OP is correct. I know no Hearthstone players who enjoy all the different playstyles enough to go through that cycle. It is also too simple, aggro decks can counter other aggro decks, and aggro, tempo, midrange, control, mill and otk are the different styles in the game with different strengths and weaknesses.

Atramentar posted a message on all disliked archetypes fuel each otherPosted in: General DiscussionRegarding the cycle, it's for the best. For example, if you took OTK out of the cycle, then control would rule forever.
Matchups are never 100%-0, the outcome is not decided by turn 2.
There is both a skill and an rng component, even if you don't want to acknowledge it.
How many times must we endure this kind of posts?

iWatchUSleep posted a message on Druid is dead after rotation........Posted in: General DiscussionYeah, you're right.
Blizzard already confirmed that Druid will not receive a single new card next expansion, so the class is indeed doomed.
Rest in peace :(

Haussenfuss posted a message on top 3 meta decks are paladin decks, great job blizzardPosted in: General Discussion???
I'd recommend that the OP examine the stats he's citing with a bit more care - HSReplays is currently tracking 29 different decks with positive win-rates. Every class is viable, and Shaman is the only class which isn't currently fielding at least two winning decks. Since the OP didn't bother thinking it necessary to explain what he meant by "unbalanced meta-game," it's difficult to really address his complaint - but the ladder seems to be in good shape.
It's worth recalling that the stats go considerably deeper than simply looking at the top three spots on the Tier List. Indeed, two of the three decks the OP cites barely see any play on ladder - Secret Paladin and Even Paladin have play-rates slightly above, and slightly below 1%, respectively. Not exactly "unbalancing" the meta, as the OP suggests . . .

RavenSunHP posted a message on top 3 meta decks are paladin decks, great job blizzardPosted in: General DiscussionPoint is, nerfs do not generally happen because of balance issues. And it's been obvious in their nerf descriptions over time. Believing all nerfs happen because of balance is a self-illusion.
They just try and find a decent timing to nerf as many cards as possible that occupy problematic design slots for their future releases (and future metas).
Also, they do not aim to the perfect meta, or the perfect state for each class: all they want is a dynamic balance of power between decks, with decks and classes continuously floating up and down in time.
Like it or not, that's how it works in HS.

Horkinger posted a message on How would rank the hero powerPosted in: General Deck BuildingJusticiary was only used competitively in control warrior. Midrange Paladin also made occasionally use of justicar. No other class used her. But that might have had different reasons. For one, you needed to draw her. Priest did not have strong decks at that time, neither had shaman. Hunter never had remotely enough carddraw and on turn 6 playing a 6/3 was far too bad to make it into hunter decks. Thus, I do not think that the use of justicar at that time is any indication for what classes will use Baku. The upgraded hero power is good in almost all classes (maybe not rogue) and we have now plenty of new cards in all classes.

Gutted honestly.
What a quality site you have delivered though Flux. You should be incredibly proud of yourself.
Good luck to you in your future endeavors!

The thing that people need to understand is that Blizzard only put cards in the Hall of Fame on standard rotation. Since that just happened, they won't do it again for another year, and the hero cards get rotated to wild at that point anyway.
So you're not asking for HOF, you're asking for a nerf.

We'll probably get it the same everywhere in the world like the launch time for the expansion, so you'll probably get it around 5pm GMT if you play on the Europe server.

Won't work. Mecha'thun would itself still be alive, so the deathrattle wouldn't trigger.

In standard rank 4 to rank 1, 5.6% of decks are mages. This is a stat taken from the Vicious Syndicate meta report released 6 days ago, so pretty reliable I would say, because they have a fairly large sample size. Maybe the usage of mage has increased a little over the past week, but that's usually only a couple of percentage points at best (you can check the website in a couple of days and check if the number changed more than that). Personally, I am also on rank 5 and I've only played 3 in the 30-something games I played this season, so the number checks out for me. Obviously deviation from the averages is possible, so that's what probably happened to you, but that would be an exception. There really aren't many mages on ladder right now.

This was made with a strategy for a tournament format in mind, not ladder. It's a completely different ball game. Besides no deck is good against everything, and mage makes up around 8% of all decks in standard across all ranks, so not really a huge deal.

You can play Skull of the Man'ari and Rin, the First Disciple together really if you want. Just remember not to play the weapon in matchups where you want to play Azari, the Devourer. Those are usually very slow, so you can get away with having a dead card in hand for most of the game.
The way I see it though, Skull of the Man'ari is a must in control warlock nowadays. Getting out those Voidlords early against aggro is game-winning. Rin, the First Disciple is a luxury addition if you face a lot of slower decks. Besides, most control warlock lists run two Stonehill Defenders anyway, so you can get a Rin, the First Disciple from those a lot of the time in slower matchups.

Casual is a place mostly for farming the gold from 3/3 wins and quests. I guess Blizzard didn't intend for that to happen, but playing aggro is just a faster way to do that. I never play casual and don't farm gold there, but I know a lot of players who are doing it.
You might think that's unfair, but unfortunately what we think doesn't matter. There's no point in complaining about the player base because as long as gold is farmable in casual, people will use it for that purpose. You can't change the attitude of a player base that literally contains millions. This is true for every gamemode in hs (right now).
The way I see it you have these options:
TL;DR: try to have fun regardless of what people play against you. If you can't do that, stop playing this game. It's better for your health.

It's because of money.
If they do this during the initial release, it's possible a lot of players would play this brawl instead of buying packs and playing around with their own cards.
It's the same reason why they release the single player content a few weeks later. They don't want people to try out the free content during initial release. They want people playing standard and buying packs.
Never forget that for all their joyful rhetoric when talking about this game, Blizzard is still a stone cold business.
