I'm 9-3 in the platinum ranks on the first day of the expansion.  Feels like old school warrior.  Takes me back a few years.

That depends.  I've been playing it the past two weeks and have been doing really good with it.  Over 60% win rate at Diamond 5 down to Diamond 3 so far.  I'm a casual player, I only play a few games a day but I've been playing since the first year of hearthstone.

If you are a newer player you might not like the deck since you really need to know your matchups and be patient.  It's worst matchup is probably hunter and then demon hunter if they have a really good draw.  But I've beaten both too.  Warlock is pretty easy.  Just have to be prepared for their Galacrond and Alex turns.  

I think it will definitely be better after the nerfs but it's not definite.

Sooo, it depends on what you like and how much you need to spend to craft it.

I'm not having very good luck with this deck.  I'm a long time player and really like highlander decks but I've went 3-5 at rank 10 Diamond.  The aggro demon hunter decks just run all over this as well as hunter.

I remember watching a few streamers that used to start a new account and get legend with pretty basic decks.  I think one was "Toast".  I've hit legend and I always get at least rank 5 easily every month but I don't think I could do it with those decks.

I tried this deck out at rank 5 and went 1-5.  I've been playing since the game came out.  I play casually but I usually will end up rank 4 in both wild and standard each month.  I've also hit legendary before.  This deck is interesting but cannot compete at rank 5.

I've been playing for almost five years.  Wow, the rogues are tough.  I swapped out a cabal shadow priest for a novice engineer for more draw.  I went 2-3.  All my losses were to rogues, they just draw so many more cards.  Two maly rogues and one shark.  

 Thanks for the deck.  I used Sylvanas instead of Xaril because I didn't want to craft it.  The deck has done really well and is pretty fun to play except for the length of the matches.  Whew!

I get the card tracker to come back up by just re-installing innkeeper.  I just clicked on the downloaded program and the card tracker works again.

I've watched Ryzen play with it and do extremely well.  A few days ago he won 14 straight to get his second server legend.  He started at rank 4 and went legend in about 3 hours.

I also saw him earlier climbing with a miracle rogue deck.

My humble opinion is that as much shaman that there is on ladder, there is probably more counter decks as people want to play something else.  And rogue handles zoo pretty easily too.

Im thinking about crafting Malygos or Leeroy for next month to try it out.  I'd rather play maly but Leeroy fits in more decks.

My prediction:  your 8-10 mana cards from the miniset will see zero play comnpetitively.

I get a deck full of secret synergy and... it has 1 secret? Seriously? Super fun.

What I cannot possibly understand is why they felt like they needed to BUFF those three Pirates when they KNEW they were releasing Mr. Smite and Defias Cannoneer in the mini-set. Like wtf?

Remember when Blizzard said they were gonna back off of "charge" as a keyword? Me too.

I remember when Blizzard first brought in "Rush" and oh how they peddled that it was basically gonna replace "charge" in the long term.

Rework *nerf* cough to Illucia doesn't make sense based on the dev comments.

With the refinement of Shadow Priest in recent weeks, Mindrender Illucia has been overperforming in the archetype, in an unintended way. Instead of being used as a late game disruption tool, Shadow Priests have been using Illucia as an early game play to essentially skip the opponent’s turn. This change is aimed at removing that problematic gameplay from Illucia, while still keeping her in a similar space with her effect.  while also ruining the potential as a late game disrution tool.  To rub salt in the wound we didn't even revert her cost making her a supremely understated 3 cost that no one will ever play again...we should also have added "Your Charge minions have +1 Attack" for the meme.

There has been so much hate on Mercenaries and its baffling to be that the major complaint is about the bundles or the "pay2win" aspect. Like, for real, you know that you can play hearthstone without spending a single dollar (or by buying those welcome bundle ecc... For very cheap), like, both 3 game modes are free, you don't have to buy the Mercenaries bundles ro play it, heck they are even gonna give you free units to start with. If your main argument is FOMO than you are just weak and you can't complain about feeding your own addiction; if your main complaint is "it's pay2win" firstly, you don't knoe that, the mode isn't out yet, secondly, sometimes win doesn't equal fun and sometimes you wanna have fun, heck I even encountered some people who said that Battlegrounds is pay2win since you get 2 more choices... That's just delusional, unless you're a streamer why would you care, it's a fun mode anyway. As for Mercenaries, they said that they are gonna try to balance the PvP (which is also not thr main mode) around you, which means that even if it's pay2win you'll likely not go against someone who's stronger than you because he payed more; as for the main PvE part, what's the point in spending money to just steamroll your way through, where is the fun in that? At thay point is just winning but it's gonna quickly become boring.

Tl:dr, you don't need to spend money on the game(s) and if you do you're the only one you can blame

This isn't an airport, you don't have to announce your departure.

Especially over a low tier 3, if not a tier 4 deck. 

I mean, with how much they've improved rewards, you really only need to buy the pass and that's it. That's all I buy anymore and I'm sitting on 2kish gold and 20k dust atm, while comfortably able to play whatever deck I want. The game has honestly become at least twice as f2p friendly in just the past year, imo. 

If you feel like you have to buy everything this company produces but you cannot afford to, that is very much a YOU problem.

Blizzard's (any company's) only reason for existing is to produce products and sell them. It is the consumer's job to exercise restraint and not buy every car on the sales lot, every candy bar in the checkout display, every stick of furniture at Ikea.

And no, you can't hide behind "compulsiveness" as a defense. If you truly have a personality disorder, it's up to you to stay away from things that trigger it. It is not some random company's job to babysit your mental problems.

The idea that Blizzard is doing something wrong by offering merchandise to the public is the dumbest idea that keeps reappearing on these forums.
