vs control, you should know pretty much every card in their deck and have a reasonable guess at their hand and what to play into/around..he might be better if he changed in to a card left in their deck that WASN'T in their hand

vs combo, does it matter? you beat them before the combo goes off or you don't

 once i had someone add me after i beat them who was really clever.  first they said, hey do you have the 80g quest? only after i said nope did they being throwing insults at me

exodia mage is a good deck for some players.....but you dusted deathwing, a gold edwin vancleef, antionidas and ysera right away......so you should probably stay away from exodia mage

because hearthstone is a simple game, yes a 9/9 with 4 charge damage for 7 mana is better than a complicated, slow play such as 9 mana, your hero has stealth but can duplicate a card next turn.   so what? what if they called Bonemare the Rogue legendary DK and made Valeera a common, would that make everyone feel better? 

I know, i know, its the classic argument, people who have most/every card and have played for a while want to play fancy cards and win thru their superior intellect and skill but blizzard keeps making cards that are straightforward, powerful, go face cards so all these inferior people can just play bonemare, A COMMON!?!?!, on 7 and win before i can play my Valeera and then my 0 mana 8/8s so i can emote thanks on turn 10 right as they concede, and its all so unfair, when will blizzard learn how to make games people like, sheesh

What, this is crazy talk, lich king sucks.  It only sees play cuz its still newish.  As soon as expansion comes out in december, the few decks clinging to LK will be replacing it with some new expensive legendary

but thalnos will be in decks that want to cycle, forever.

i find this whole line of thought weird, who cares what other people do?  That being said, I can't stand people playing stupid homebrew meme decks in casual just for "fun" so i spend all day playing tempo rogue, jade druid and raza priest in casual just to ruin their good time.

like most threads, this is stupid.. i frequently type out responses and then just delete them, because what is the point? 

First of all, the entire premise of the thread is wrong, you don't need patches to rank up, either to 5 or legendary.     

Second of all, you play this nonsense game for fun.  if playing patches causes you to have more fun than you would have had without patches, then craft patches.  whether its because you win more or you like his entry music or the way he shoots out of a cannon or the hilarity of drawing him turn 1, whatever, who cares, you're playing for fun, have fun. why does it matter what the loud elitist jerks say about patches. 

Depends on exactly what else you have to do with your time.  if you have things to do that are of any value whatsoever, then no, hearthstone is not worth playing.

if reno was moved into a super duper hall of fame and couldn't be played anywhere, then i'd play wild

The druid 'death knight' deck is stupid because the DK card has almost no impact.  You could replace it with, idk, a Bone Mare and it would win at  the same rate.

i accept all friend requests hoping to someday find a life long friend who will be with me forever, through good and bad, through times of joy, such as reaching legendary, and times of sorrow, such as reaching legendary and rememberizing that video game accomplishments are the least of all accomplishments

for everyone complaining about their legendary luck, consider this, i opened 100+ MSG packs and received 3 patches and 1 golden patches....

then i opened 100+ ungoro packs and received....3 caverns below and 1 golden caverns below....what are the chances of opening 200-220ish packs and getting two legendaries each duplicated 4 times?

This thread, like most, is just absurd.  Some cards are powerful.  Powerful does not mean broken.  What would make a card broken? I'd say if the win percentage of a deck is over a certain level when a specific card is played, idk, 55%, 60%? Then that card is broken.  Not one of those cards is broken, they are just powerful (some of them not even that, Earthen Scales? Really?)  Does it suck when their power explodes all over your face? Of course it does.  Sometimes they swing games.  But you are not required to play crappy cards while other people play powerful cards.  Play powerful cards yourself and deal with the powerful cards in the other guy's deck. I know, I know, you don't want to play the 'brainless' same decks everyone else is playing, you want to play your special snowflake deck which sucks most of the time but you still want to win 80% of the time and prove how amazing and clever you are.  Get over it.  I am not amazing, I am not clever, you are not amazing, you are not clever, we  are not amazing, we are not clever.
