Underbelly Fence underwhelms. Not getting buffed on curve, so getting eaten by anything and everything later. Also, even with treble burglar, double huckster, and a fox, I'm ending up with no cards from another class by turn 9 sometimes. Yay.

Hench-Clan Burglar is surprisingly bad. The amount of abysmal spells means it's basically vanilla. Woo.

Legendaries are everywhere. 2 games, one Y'sharrj, one Khadgar into power of creation. Yeah, I'll just deal with four 4/2 diving shield charge...

Either you're hyper-aggressive, and decks with five >4 mana cards are too slow, or you have 5+ good boardwipes.

This is shaping up to be another abysmal "Don't get a good legendary? Don't bother." tripefest, with the added bonus of basically being "who's faster, unless someone got lots of AE". Not seeing myself playing much arena again here.

It's not overlooked at all lmao people have been calling it one of the most defining cards in the game's history since after the KoFT launch.

I think it was meant more along the lines of "nobody is mentioning that such a format-defining card is going, only talking about deathknights" - the overlook is on the card's rotation, not power.

Wow, that's crazy easy for four packs and two cardbacks. Only snag was that I missed the paragraph as to what to do when the file isn't there :P Shame that there's no samsung galaxy string :P

I'd recommend Wild. Tracker digs for extra Maly/Emp, you've got a lot of extra burn, you've got sheep/PD and ghoul/arrow boardclears, and you've got emperor. I've got an old deck that needs updating (my deck on here for malyhunt is... old, not to mention needing to add in the new twinspell), but will probably give it a play, though I've been on the MalySham train for a good while.

the point is standard. I have already a Malygos Hunter for wild. No need for more. Emperor completes the deck there. I need it in Standard.

Thanks for suggesting but the point is Jepetto Joybuzz. :) you don't even need Master's Call in wild. Actually You don't even need anything from this expansion to make a malygos Hunter. maybe you can only add Rapid Fire.

Just my thoughts :) With no cost reductions other than Jepetto, you're shafted if you draw maly first (50% of the time). Banker is 2, Maly is 9, so banker can't help with that problem - if you can banker Maly, you can combo. I'm thinking that Shaman might be a better Maly choice (with that five drop transform), but that still suffers from eureka being too expensive without drawing literally all four one-drop burn spells.

And yeah, rapid fire is probably the only change I'll make to Wild MalyHunter - been away from the deck for a bit, though, owing to how hilariously hard it gets hit by a geist, plus needing golden shaman (and, unfortunately, Malysham is a better deck). Tracker was the last major change for it, iirc.

EDIT - sleep-addled brain. Master's call tutors for jepetto, so 25%, and not drawing Maly before T8 probably bumps that up to ~30-35% whiff chance? Still feels ridiculously high. If you Jepetto for banker to put back Maly, you can't Jepetto Maly himself...

I have just encountered - in over 6 months or so of playing the deck - my first mirror match with Wild MalySham. Homebrew jank mirror matches! Woo! So much better than endless priests, even if that MU is favoured for me.

This is serious dig for emergencies, as well as shuffling combo pieces you need to cheat out of your deck back into the deck. Really good card selection (though negative CA, ofc). Look at this effect in other CCGs, and it's strong.

There is no strong 1/2 mana deathrattle minions you want to trigger with this one. The only decent early minion is Spider Bomb, which will make it like a Deadly Shot with a card draw, which is very good. Of course it can trigger heavier deathrattle from heavier minions, but that comes much later in the game and you don't want for this card to be a dead card for numerous turns, if it's in your hand on turn 3, you want to play it and get value out of it, and that's the problem, there is no good 1/2 mana deathrattles you want to trigger it with.

So this card is quite slow and inconsistent atm, maybe that will change with introduction of new cards.

Eh? So it's a midrange/lategame card. This is like saying anything that costs more than 3 mana is a dead card for numerous turns. Just don't treat it as a Turn 3 play, like Omega Assembly etc. is a lategame card despite the mana cost.

That makes it a bad card though. Hunter isn't a class where you want to be holding a dead card for X amount of turns. It's too slow in deathrattle hunter or midrange hunter. It's just not good enough to see much play in Wild or Standard.

That makes it a decent card without a deck. There are decent - not top-tier, but decent - builds of control hunter you can get away with in Wild, depending on the metagame. Primary weakness for the deck being Big priest, but it's rare to see one deck as enough of the metagame to push the deck into nonviable. By your logic, 8 mana, get all three animal companions is a bad card, because if you draw it early, you're screwed,

Kathrena? I think Sylv might be the bigger option. Or Sneed's. Or Stalagg/Feugen. Or explosive sheep in an aggro matchup.

    I do like this.

Sylvie relies too much on board presence and that there is something on the board you want to steal. Robut sheep is one I did not consider, big and beefy board clear for early to mid game.

Sylv is backbreaking when you do something like sylv/PD; having extras late, particularly to bring back with N'zoth? Sounds like my kind of thing. Unfortunately for explosive sheep, it's not great with just the deathrattle - half of the point of that card is that with PD or similar, you get a 4-damage AE, as it kills itself - 2 damage is okay, but not enough a lot of the time, though you could this, into sheep, play the sheep, and PD it. One of the two boardclears I run in Wild, the other being ghoul/toxic arrow, which I need to check still works after they tweaked some stuff (I've been on the silly Malygos deck trains for a bit, and however much I like MalyHunter, it's still a joke). How good Sylv is depends on the metagame and the deck, though, as always.

Potentially insane in Wild if you run a list with Kathrena Winterwisp. Too bad the setup for that is still too slow to be great.

Standard it's potentially good if you run Spider Bomb, though.

Solid meme, but building a whole deck around this is just a dumb idea.

Solid backup plan, IMO, for a combo deck. Just needs refinement on the plan A (eureka) being able to OTK reliably, and it'll be good to go.

Relying on the cost reduction of this is a dumb idea, without something like bankers or other jank.

This? This - and hecklebot - are solidly designed for a healthy meta. This one's understatted enough that it's a proper tech card; heckle is autoinclude in control. High variance card in most situations; only really spell-based combos that don't rely on endless spells to draw, that it hits - and naming those is probably tricksy. Will do great work against something like Holy Wrath pally, where it's telegraphed so obviously, though still a RNG play.

It'a a safety valve for the metagame, and what HS needs (speaking as a combo player).

    Also, listen all'y'all...

I am honestly unimpressed from this card. Yes, if you build around it - it might be a good one, but that also means - you will have a 1-2 minions in your deck (in order to make it consistent enough) and the rest - shaman spells (which are the thing that worries me mostly).

It will be interesting to see, if someone can build a good deck around it. Maybe in the next expansions this card (the shaman class) will recieve a nice bunch of useful spells.

Assuming Wild, it's very simple to OTK. bolt, totemic, frost shock, crackling, and lava shock are all good for it, whilst lava burst is good for those times when you can't do a full combo, you Emperor, or the opp's tapped down to 20 or so. You just need two of (bolt/crackle), and two other burn spells, and you have Emp as well to make sure you can cast it all. I'm currently on a Barnes/Emp/Maly as my only creatures; I'll probably cut Barnes for two of these, assuming they can't hit each other, as that would be horrifically bad.

One 0-1 mana 3 damage spell or a 0-mana 2-damage one and this is live in STD, though, I think, because then you can go off with Eureka, too, without relying on RNG for your far sights, or some chip damage first. Just note that you need 2 3 damage and 2 2 damage spells to deal 30 with a Maly out. One bolt, three 2-damage spells is 29.

I've experimented a little but with eureka Malygos shaman and the deck performs quite well for an off meta deck, this could very well be the card that makes it meta.

If Malygos is in the deck, you pay 5 mana for Malygos. If it's in your hand, you pay 6 mana. I'm sure this is good enough to win games consistently.

Because standard needs to be a refreshing experience you know, maybe it's finally time for Malygos to shine kappa lol.

How do you get around the problem that, with Eureka, you absolutely need both Bolts for actually OTKing (eureka/bolt/bolt/2x(totemic|frost shock))? Never found eureka to work for OTKs due to that problem. Particularly as your draw is even worse than the high variance Wild deck, and even that is pushing it on the quality of the draw, so you're not getting to the end of the deck reliably. This will help, but unless you can reliably combo with Maly in hand as well, you're not getting to be a solid deck.
