Hmm. Leeroy's 18th is not working as written. Internet claims it's actually '50 dam to HC bosses', which is an odd one, and fits my experience. Any bets on how long before that gets fixed? :P

Vanessa's makeshift weaponry seems utterly abysmal. Mutanus's Devour takes far too much to actually get going with the tokens from other murlocs. Sylvanas' Reclaimed souls feels like a huge tempo loss late.

They're in the running, for me.

Hmm. Any suggestions for speeding up the 'kill 40 enemies with dragonqueen's gambit' Q? You can't realistically use cookie, and most weak minions are weak in attack too. Maybe some of the felwood trash - the satyrs that summon imps, or the imps that copy? Don't really want to have to rely on softening up the enemies just for them to suicide before I can cast it!

I just did this following a very instructive video from Old Guardian (and using a comp that I have used in the past for similar ridiculously grindy tasks). Get Alex, Blink Fox (with the 3rd treasure) and Anacondra (with the treasure where she also heals herself) and go to one of the last 3 Felwood bounties. Restart until you face a comp with Doubling Imp. turn 1 focus on killing the other 2 guys. Turn 2 use Doubling Imp's attack with Blink Fox to get a 2nd Fox (while also finishing off the other 2 guys). At this stage you should have Alex, 2xFox and Lady and the 'enemy' should have 2 injured Doubling Imps. Kill 1 of them with the Gambit, heal the 2nd one with Lady and refresh your abilities with one of the 2 foxes. The fully healed Imp should be 10/26 and will attack Lady Anacondra, ending up with 2 copies of 10/18. Now every turn you do the following:

    1. Deal 10 dmg to one of the 2 imps with 1 blink fox (the one that cannot cast the ability to refresh your abilities)
    2. Finish it off with Alex's gambit (careful with the order as they will both be speed 0 thx to fox)
    3. Heal the 2nd imp back to full with Lady (also healing Lady herself)
    4. Refresh your other mercs abilities with the 2nd fox

    Repeat this 40 times...

Hmm, thanks.  Not an option, unfortunately, so just loading up on fire and grinding...

No. You need one person and the MMR is not relevant. You are testing the meta. Therefore if in 100 matches he will not find (with always the same deck) 23,6% of druid (or around this number) something is strange, otherwise, everything is fine.

But the meta will shift between different MMRs. Always has done. Top 100 legend meta will be significantly different to that in, say, silver 10 with a MMR that reflects that. Heck, it'll be different between bottom of legend more fun decks and D5-1 - in this case because of a difference in philosophy for the players.

People say that they play aggro until a certain point for faster and more consistent grinding, as an example.

The core issue is that you're matched based on MMR, which is invisible pre-legend - and that MMR influences your metagame, thus needs to be controlled for. 80%+ of actual science, in my experience, is controlling variables, cutting datasets, and similar.

Well, this is because they had to balance between free-to-play and people who spend. Players are both. Anyway, it is not impossible to think that a face hunter player will find more matches against taunt druid, shadow priest or control warrior (that are not favourable matches) than a ramp druid for example.

These assumptions are pretty easy to check anyway. We need one person that plays around 100 matches or more with the same deck. Every deck is fine for this experiment.

If the numbers of his fights are aligned with the numbers in the attachment, everything is fine. If his numbers are not aligned with the numbers in the attachment we can assume that HS is controlled.

With an experiment like this, there is proof.

You need two people at the same rank (and possibly same server - not entirely sure how much variance there is based on that) with roughly the same MMR, realistically - the large datasets show variance between ranks. In practice, this means two legend rank players with a similar rating and different decks.

Also, even just looking at purely the classes, I'd look at a bigger sample than 100 - more like 2-300. I presume you're not planning on looking at 40-50 deck types with 100 sample size, for what should be obvious reasons!

Thanks - though I'm seeing that the *first* ability is counting, not the second, now I'm home again and trying things? Some of these quests are abysmal (I'm also somehow doing 300 fire damage with Chiji. without chiji and without any fire damage :P).

Edwin's task 10 - deal 200 combo damage. How can I do this? Other, non-Edwin combo abilities don't count. Edwin's only combo ability - if it even has combo due to equips - doesn't *actually* deal damage. Is it just badly worded and wants 200 assisted strike damage?

Someone‘s HP has to fall to 15 HP or less. After that you can concede

     TIL. Thanks.

Actually, this is now outdated. They've sped it up to some amount, but not said how much. T10/15HP is the old requirement, and should be safe enough. There is now a confirmation if you quit too early, though.

Lightfang's felt weak for a while even in menagerie when compared to Brann shenanigans (brannigans?) or Blackthorne. Menagerie's not too bad, I find; currently sitting at about 7k without pass, though, so not top-tier, and generally only have three tribes because of space until I get amalgams.

If the buddies didn't eat up a space with tribeless then Lightfang would stand more of a chance.

HC Smuggler boss is fine with a nature team if you avoid the nature's bite treasures - feels better to non-cheese. Main issue is that comp is really slow on trash - I just reset a few times to get a good line of non-fights and it was fine. Bit slow on boss, but that was because I noobed it up and got the eggs popped T1 anyway by not hitting both dragons. Still limped over the line.

Hunting party is a treasure I'm still tuned to ignore due to the months it was bugged. Keep on forgetting it was fixed :P Interesting that it procs on the boss, since deathwing's equip (gain control of summoned dragons) doesn't proc on the adds.

HC Ony is pretty trivial with a holy comp. As long as you have some healing and Anduin you can just tank most stuff with him, as long as you're careful to kill both adds at the same time! if you don't have Velen in, the comp can slowly chip away or use someone like Tirion from the bench for damage - and Tirion can tank the deep breaths easy enough via bubbles.

You can simply use Rag/Geddon/Balinda and you freeze one enemy. So Rag will not die. Anyway, for farming tasks, I am not able to understand how can Rag die.

Not experimented too much with Balinda, tbh - only recently unlocked the water ele. Without her, certainly Rag's paltry 68ish HP is not standing up to, say, 5 attacks from murlocs, most of which are critical, ice blocking blues that basically guarantee 2 enemies alive that will almost certainly attack before you on the next turn because you're slowed, windfury bleed 5 mobs, and similar. Ony's lair trash does not feel friendly to Rag whatsoever with that kind of shenanigans and the extra HP pushing comps out of nuke range for T1.

Either way, part of it is different playstyles - I usually tend towards less risky!

I am an expert on PVP but even in PVE I don't see this amazing use of Chi-ji. As heal comp, there is Anduin and Velen for most of the bosses. Then for sure if you are talking about PVE, Rag + Geddon + Antonidas or Rag + Geddon + Balinda. And Rag is also very used in PVP.

For PvE Rag/Geddon/Anton tends to not quite pack enough punch in the Ony HCs, I find - when it's not killing T1 you're usually losing Rag T1, and it just doesn't quite get over the line reliably. My go-to fire comp is a much more defensive Geddon/Chiji/Mutanus team, which is less explosive but more reliable against most non-timed stuff. Same reason I don't like the orc comps, since they're fragile until you get a few treasures.

I'm still wary of calling it a gamechanger, tbh, but it's certainly a strong PvE merc. I'd probably lob Geddon in over Chi-ji just for the easy AE. Also possibly Malf for PvE with the weapon of stupid passive heals that gets more ridiculous with bite treasures.

Leeroy's 200 was easy; I've stalled a bit on Kaz with 3 Dragons, though. Just trying to find a team that doesn't get obliterated by trash - actually killing some of the DPS check trash is very hard with most dragons - stuff like the sharpshooter where almost no dragons get to act on the second turn before someone gets oneshotted. 3-merc teams for trash feel very shaky and get easily disrupted; Rag-based fire teams just don't have the power to T1 kill reliably, so someone dies and that's run over. Will try a nature trio next, but again some bad hits, forced elites and the like will probably wipe. Nature doesn't deal well with elite packs!
