Reno, obsessed with treasure, ignores all heroic motives and just raids the archives while the other heroes battle EVIL. Caught up in battle while fleeing, he just pulls from the pages and throws ANY spell he can to see what sticks, having no idea how to use the power before him, which explains the "random" aspect of his hero power. Makes sense why he's in Mage this time around, he just MADE it happen...because he's a lovable idiot who's gonna be rich!

SN1P was a great way to get more people trying out mechs. Of course this is just a theory and just my opinion though, not at all stating this as fact.
I'd actually been running mechs a lot lately in decks for classes you wouldn't normally expect to see them, and they normally always do extremely well.
There are a lack of buffing cards like shroom-dude and the like, so magnetizing is actually one of the best ways to get some extra damage on the board.
This strategy was strong before SN1P was in the game, the new card simply has more people using mechs.
I mean yeah the card is really good as well though. It's especially good in the deck I'm running it in as it benefits from tokens, so it just makes me deck even stronger. -

If they see people migrating from Wild to Standard, it's all good for them.
If they see Wild population staying stable, it means it's ok as it is, from their point of view.
Either way, they do not care if the Wild meta contains toxic decks and becomes obnoxious itself.
And it's not just meme decks gone wrong, like Big Priest and Darkest Hour Warlock. It's also hyper-resilient Aggro.
They just check average winrates and as long as nothing reaches 60%, they call it a day...

The game does not need to 'peek into the future', it is a simple calculation and Loatheb should not have been targetable in that scenario. It's just a bug.

People are missing the point of this thread - it's not how good big priest is or how easy it is to beat, the problem is it's annoying as hell to play against it and personally, it completely ruins wild for me when every second deck I queue against is big priest.

Why was this downvoted? With voodoo doll it was a 2-card vilespine slayer with +1/+2 stats. Now its potential use is only in OTK decks and with expensive cards, which you don't want to waste anyways.

a card with echo and magnetic is pretty limiting to future card design

I hope they revert the change at least when it goes to wild. Every other effect except echo (or anything that can go infinite) was not broken with this card, but now a lot of combos have been made worse just to enable 1 new card to be costed at 3. Bad blizzard

The only solution is more hero cards and make them removable, if they really want to copy MTG planeswalkers.

Why would anyone play it against an enemy Edwin instead of Polymorph? They cannot nerf this card without destroying it and knowing hearthstone, the following expansions will get even crazier combos to try to counter this until finally mountain giant gets HoFd next year.
