This set feels really wild format centric.

Anarchy1 posted a message on New Mage Legendary Card Revealed - Orion Mansion ManagerPosted in: NewsThis won’t make secret mage playable in wild. The problem it has is that there are a lot of decks that get under it while it lacks the power to kill the slow decks.

exhem posted a message on New Rogue Epic Card Revealed - KidnapPosted in: NewsIs not even as good as Okani, it does not prevent the battlecry nor removes the minion from the game, the opponent can even abuse its effect. Don't get me wrong this card is gonna be played, I'd even say is good, but definitely not broken-needs-nerf kind of good.

Don't play it then. But don't complain when you lose to it either.

Shipmen posted a message on Have you tried Diablo "Immoral"?Posted in: General DiscussionAs I said. Nobody knows that. We don't know if we can't complete a build for a normal amount of money. Nobody knows that because we don't know what it is inside the various "hells". Read my previous post.
Indeed, if I have to tell the true, I am becoming enthusiastic about this game. It is a mix between a simplified Diablo and WOW (similar pvp and battleground). It is indeed what I expected to see in Warcraft Arclight Rumble (which is crap for me).
We do know because they had to release the odds for some drops, because some countries' laws demand it.
We don't know because we discovered recently that this game is very huge (enormous). You can level up until level 360 (at least, I said 150 in the previous post, and it was wrong, it is at least 60 + 300). And since you increase in level, you can do new things and drop quality increases. So, again. Is it pay-to-win? For sure, if you pay, you can reduce the time that you need, but we don't still know for sure if certain items need only money. And my guess is no.
I will explain it better. My understanding is that Blizz puts some boundaries to players in order to avoid having people too strong. For example, if you are too high in level (based on the average level in the server) you will take less experience, you can do damages to players up to max 10% more (so no one shoots) and same things for the in-game purchases. Therefore, you can purchase something but up to a certain level it will become crazy expansive because it is too early. That's my guess, I hope I'm in right.

DatMageDoe posted a message on New Mage Cards Revealed - Throne of Tides CardsPosted in: NewsHex turns a minion into a worthless Taunt. It does not need to be killed immediately, and killing it is pretty easy. That 0/1 doesn't threaten you at all, so you can Hex and kill that minion in a few turns' time if it's favorable.
Jellyfish turns a minion into a 4/1 with +2 Spell damage. That is a threat. An easy to kill one (just hero power), but you'd be a fool to leave it up. Even if they can't use the Spell Damage it can still get a good trade or push significant face damage.

Eventually, this is going to be the nuts. Don't think that in this expansion will see many play, but it'll at some point. Only key parts missing are some good 1 and 2 mana minions.
2
I had that exact discussion some time ago with a friend. Paladin and Hunter are the noob friendly classes. I actually don't know why the tutorial is started with Mage, since Mage isn't that simple in general (with few exceptions).
Not saying everyone who likes those 2 classes are noobs, don't get me wrong. But the game style is more simple than with others. Of course they have a ceiling and things where you can improve, but the ceiling is clearly different when you compare it with classes like Rogue or Priest.

Just to be clear on my point, we were saying that 3 mana spell from Queen Azshara was bad for the same reason, 8 mana for a 5/5 and a random Colossal. And it turned out to be pretty good. And that spell is 100% random. This is Discover. If this costed 10 mana I'd agree. But costing 7... At turn 8 you throw Lightforged Cariel and you're good to go the next turn.

I agree but I'd remove Tavish Stormpike from that list, aswell as Maxima Blastenheimer. Those were beautifully designed cards which required some setup to work, setup that was never viable.
But totally agree with you on that.
This expansion's cards for Hunter are StAtS.

Ok, I'll give you that. But that wasn't a problem with theorycrafting but with balance team lol. Sooner or later people was going to realize those cards were broken af. But, was it something good? At least it happened quicker, and thus, nerfs started before.
In any case, that expansion sucked. Don't think that's a problem of theorycrafts, as I said, but with the whole expansion and balance team.
Can't think other case of all where theorycrafted decks shined that much from the start.
-1
Theorycrafting is playtesting also. Do you think the game is better without playtesting? I mean, we already have so very little. Do you think is wise to not have ANY?
And also, I've never seen decks in theorycrafting streams become meta. Probably I'm forgetting some, but most of them tend to suck ass due to the restriction of forcefully needing 10 cards of the new expansion.
Before theorycrafting streams, usually meta in the first week was exactly the same than the previous one, all folks waiting for some pro's tweet of an specific deck is broken. Do you really think that's good? Because I think it sucks. I usually tend to test random shit and have fun, but it seems most of the people only care about netdecking. These streams give new flashy decks for netdeckers. That's good.
Can you extend a little bit why do you think these streams are bad? Because I just can't think any reason.

I mean, maybe if we had one minion more with secret synergy in mage, and an additional secret... But this, although is cool AF, seems only to be support for Wild format.

Yes, if this was released 3 years ago it'll be nerfed 8 times lol, but for the power level we have today don't think this needs to be changed at all.
4
Targeted draw, ramp and a 3/2 sticked to it. There's no way this is bad lol.

Don’t know if this will lead to something but what a nice card, damn!
