posted a message on How does one approach Cube Deathrattle Hunter? Let's work on it.

I think making it a spell hunter and then adding in the kathrena and legendaries package would be easiest, but lets try somthing.

    worse way, but more memey
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (16) Ability (10) Weapon (4)
    Loading Collection

Really weird, and needs some tweaks, but is a different method of doing things, pull the big charge beasts out and copy everything far too much. if you can get to the lategame it is pretty good, but the early game survival cards need work. that just takes trying them out and replacing the ones that feel bad.

By the way you can't run any cards that summon beasts safely with the bowman, so perhaps you cut it for a spellstone, which would objectively make this better, but prob less fun once you reach the lategame.

posted a message on I've spent $120 dollars on this expansion and can't make any of the tier 1 decks on Tempo Storm right now

I have not spent a cent on this game, and sure, I can't build any top tier decks according to tempostorm, but I can build decent decks. Getting legend is not a matter of being able to make the tier one decks, but being able to play well with whatever deck you can make. And having fun is not a matter of getting legend or even having a decent win-rate. The community around Hearthstone is as unaware of that as the community around DOTA is full of toxic, aggressive, teenage males. If you have the cards to make something fun, try it, if not, why the heck did you spend 120 dollars if you don't know how to have fun, because you are guaranteed the dust needed to make something fun with that many packs. Hearthstone is an F2P game, meaning that the part you pay for is super expensive. It is built so people can play without paying, but with incentives for certain people, often referred to as whales, to pay out more than enough that the game makes, on average, more per person than full price games. You should try playing the game without spending money, it removes the part where you feel bad about spending money and not having a lot of benefits.

posted a message on Rank 5 Mill Rogue - 73% Winrate

I run a version of this with all that but faldorei, and faldorei is super slow. I went for a little more tempo and more draw over more survivability, but the idea still works, it does not mill or fatigue opponents as often as this version, but it has those strategies in its back pocket against control. I basically treated the mill part as tech against slow Mage, which is common at low ranks where I am playing, but there is evidence that mill works in the higher rank meta, if you tech and play it right.

posted a message on Rank 5 Mill Rogue - 73% Winrate

I have not tried this list in particular, but I tend to beat hunter with my mill rogue, my version is a little heavier on minions, so it occasionally masquerades as tempo, which helps it against the hunter and other faster matchups. In those games I basically rush face with kingsbane after buffing it. And use any draw I can get to get kingsbane back after it isn’t used up. Vanishes and doomsayers become like freezes in combo Mage decks. I also run a little bit of burst that I normally use eviscerate as a board control tool, but against aggressive decks it becomes a tool for face. With the list here Though that matchup isn’t harder, because you don’t have as much damage as quickly. So either you can tech your list or you can play very careful with boardclears. Hunter right now usually creates board in bursts with Spellstone and zero cost minions. When they do you can clear the board. Also if they played two secrets or more you should Doomsayer into their turn five to stop the best five mana card in The game from being played (Spellstone is op and Ian why hunter is viable). Once they use Spellstone vanish really hurts them too, because often that can kill a card, plus it reduces their tempo, allowing you to survive until giant kingsbane.

posted a message on Nobody wants to play tavern brawls. C'mon Blizzard...

I play an average of 10 games each brawl, that average comes partially from playing 5 or more games most weeks, and partially from the rare brawl that gets me to play 40 or more games. Right now I am actually not enjoying the game because I have none of the op cards  from the new set except maybe aluneth. And my Mage collection is not great, so I am playing questless Exodia a lot and the rest of my time when the brawl is up, is the brawl.

posted a message on Eater of Secrets value now?

yeah it has a few targets, I have been running an exodia mage today, and faced a lot of secret eaters, though none of them actually prevented me from winning, so if that deck takes off you might not actually see a lot of secret eater except in that deck to deal with mirrors.

I beat the darkness with mill rogue so did firebat. you can't really rush down something with more health than you and bigger minions, so you have to be able to last a while for him to build up a board of his summons, and then clear them all, while building your own big board, then you start going for board control hard. Or if you are mill rogue you literally just draw through your deck and do whatever it takes to not die each turn, or if you are mill rogue like firebat got you have 200 health and you basically just win the game automatically.

I got shaman, but my packs gave me aluneth, It turns out aluneth is really only good in fast decks. It is hard to not mill yourself with aluneth in exodia mage. I basically won't use the shaman one though,

posted a message on Behold Dusckbreaker! Slayer of the Aggro meta!

The problem is priest killing aggro decks does not kill aggro in the meta, especially when Exodia Mage loses to aggro of the face sort and priest has to draw right to deal with face, and Mage kills priest. I think that aggro is going to actually be a thing which had just started to occur for the first time in a while in the last week or two of frozen throne.

posted a message on Is it any good?

The Exodia Mage is really good, I am not sure if this is the list that sees play if tempo Mage, but I believe tempo Mage will see play as well. Exodia Is just freeze Mage, and freeze Mage has often been played with other Mage decks in the meta, tempo will deal better with face decks while Exodia will deal better with midrange and control. If you have aluneth or want to make it anyway, I suggest you use it in this deck, because draw is key to a Mage tempo deck, as Mage does not have great sustain with tempo.

posted a message on Going free to play for this set. anyone else?

I have been f2p since i started pre naxx, and seriously, it is not that bad, you don't have the ability to play everything, but you have the ability to play at least 3 good things by the time the meta settles. Or you can play like 30 terrible things. I prefer the second, because I like fun over strong.

posted a message on Could this aggro deck become the new cancer?
    Quote from DiViNE_Priest >>

I'm hoping we dont see any Aggro Decks past Tier 2. I have high hopes that we will see a Combo/Control meta.

If you know about game design, you will know that this is literally impossible, unless you mean exactly what we had this meta. The defining deck of this meta was a combo/control deck and there were enough tools to deal with them that token or face style aggro became bad, so the aggressive decks resorted to tempo.  After that the meta slowly moved slower, until very recently both face and token style aggro decks had a small place. But that tells you something, that the slower the meta is, the more possibility hyper aggresive face decks have. Having the strongest deck be a hard control deck, like renolock was, makes more room for aggresive decks to be top tier. Because this meta has a bunch of powerful midrange/tempo decks as well, it almost eliminates the ability for those face decks, but as the midrange/tempo decks become more like control, the face decks have room to play. I would like a meta with midrange as the top dog, and combo decks that counter the midrange decks. This is hard, since historically midrange beats combo decks, except rogue combos, which lose to aggro because rogue has no anti-aggro tools to put in it's combo decks, so it just tries to win before midrange can win.
On to the actual topic, yes this deck seems cool, no it does not seem like the cancer of the meta, but I really like the idea and think it might see play.

posted a message on Don't Bother playing ladder tonight...

I met nothing but big priest when I played tempo or aggro decks, and nothing but rogue and razakus priest when playing control decks. The weird thing is that my highest winrate was against razakus priest. I won like 70% of those games yesterday, but against big priest I won one in ten, and against rogue i had a 40% winrate. Yeah the meta right before the expansion sucks, but not because of the most oppressive deck in the meta.
