IMO, this card isn't as bad as most people vote it to be. Sure it might only see fringe play in budget decks and maybe some competitive decks due to its abysmal stats, but it's Battlecry is much better than most people might make it out to be. Including the cards revealed so far, 7 out of 9 classes will rarely ever have bad outcomes. Do bear in mind that this is a discover, so a class just needs at least half of the cards to be at least decent in order to have no bad outcomes most of the times.
Edit: Will not be including Wild Cards. There're just so many. TL;DR, worse in Wild for some classes, better in Wild for others.
Larger stats are much less valuable the later the game gets. Assuming each player has 10 mana, a 12/6 is much easier to remove on turn 10 than turn 4. Rogues now have Vilespine Slayer and Assassinate, (in addition to removal cards available before turn 4), Druids now have Swipe + Wrath or something like that, Priests now have Holy Fire + another source of damage, Mages now have Meteor, and so on. Not saying most classes can't deal with a 12/6 on turn 4 the same way they could on turn 10, it's just that they have much more options. TL;DR, this card is perfectly balanced.
I want to make it clear that I believe this card will see little to no play, outside of Kripp's Thief Priest deck at the start of the expansion, but you have to realise that this card will be the source of great highlights.
This card along with the other 2 Druid cards revealed today will push the limits of Token Druid (not to mention it is already a Tier 1 deck). Looks like Druids won't be going anywhere after Witchwood.

That's cool and all but the reveal is still due by over an hour?
Edit: Nevermind me, comment is outdated.

Wow! Gonna build a deck with this weapon and Southsea Squidface + 26 other cards I wouldn't care about because this combo is broken!

Please let Pogo Rogue be a Tier 2 deck at least

Why add unnecessary wording? Play literally means play it from your hand.

You should try running it with Duskfallen Aviana. A 0 mana Arcane Tyrant would be insaaaane. Wait...

He gets to the point?

Yeah but Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Voidlord, Doomguard, and Possessed Lackey don't necessarily agree with Void Ripper.

This card says the same, and you don't see your minion's attacks getting reduced in your hand when you're on the receiving end.
