I also had 20k dust accumulated a couple of weeks ago (then crafted a couple of cards for wild). I'd say that if you buy both pre-launch bundles it's not that hard to accumulate dust with the current rate of nerfs. The trick is to not disenchant any duplicates and cash in on free dust after a card gets nerfed. For example I had 28 copies of Gibberling, including a golden one, 20+ of First Day of School (again with the golden one), these two alone netted me more than 2500 dust. These plus some golden epics I had (Flesh Giant for example) helped me collect more than 7-8k dust just from the last 2 months of nerfs

Honestly, it's not even too hard to do it without the bundles right now. Like you said, though, the number one thing people screw up is dusting everything when they don't need to.

That said, playing arena is the best way to build a collection f2p, but a lot of people are still super against that.

I mean, with how much they've improved rewards, you really only need to buy the pass and that's it. That's all I buy anymore and I'm sitting on 2kish gold and 20k dust atm, while comfortably able to play whatever deck I want. The game has honestly become at least twice as f2p friendly in just the past year, imo.

One of the best kind of brawls. Especially given the state of standard right now, it's really nice to have access to a low-power format.

posted a message on Battleground perks?

@dog_since_early_2000s it's connected to achievements, so if you're playing very little you're getting achievements just for pressing buttons and it spams you with gold for a while, but it's less than before in the long term

The achievements only make up a really tiny portion of progression. The vast vast majority of xp comes from quests or play-time, depending on what mode you're playing. For battlegrounds especially, the new system gets you waaaaay more gold in the long-term.

On top of that, only specific achievements (which are all tied to non-bg game-modes) even give you any xp. I think you're getting that confused with achievement points, which don't actually give you anything.

Really frequent but minor changes are the best way to shift things towards a reasonable state. Massive overhauls every time they make a change just keep things all over the place. I do think bigger changes would be nice, but these sorts of small balance adjustments absolutely have their place, imo, and I'd love to see them more often.

posted a message on Most hated Meta ever?

The worst meta is a tossup between post-karazhan shamanstone or KofT launch where jade druid was like 70% wr. I'm honestly pretty cool with this meta, but I also took a couple weeks' break from the game so maybe that's influencing my opinion.

It baffles me how we have so many great brawls that we rarely if ever see, but then the ones like this they just spam out nonstop.

You'd think you'd try queuing a game and realize that the deck you choose determines your format before making a dramatic post mourning your loss.

If you choose a standard deck you're in standard casual

How'd you manage to lose casual? You just can't find the button or.....?

It's still there, dude. Idk what you're confused about here.

posted a message on Worst meta since... Outland?

It doesn't seem that bad in terms of the field of potentially viable decks right now. You can build pretty much any style of deck and see alright success with it. The only reason it sucks so bad is because everyone decided they just want to play spell mage instead for god-knows-why.

Over 40% of my matches are against the exact same boring-ass list

posted a message on Duels is frickin sweet! Why the hate on this site?

I'm kind of surprised how put off people seem to be by the crafting costs of duels decks. Given that they only need like 12 cards, with a lot of consistent staples between classes, I've generally found it to be one of the cheapest possible formats.

posted a message on Duels is frickin sweet! Why the hate on this site?

I really really want to love duels, but I generally found myself extremely disappointed with the quality of its balance updates. It usually felt like they would make mostly small nerfs to cards that were barely played, but would leave things like discard warlock and double time almost untouched, resulting in runs almost always ending with being blown out by the same couple top strategies. That combined with them just not being as frequent or thorough as I would've hoped for with a brand new format has me unsure about jumping in.

That said, since then, it seems like a lot of these problems have been improved. I just haven't gone back to check it back out since then.

Tikakus is the reason Control is  not attractive anymore.

Next rotation will be the same.Tikatus for another year, and Warlock even got another auto win card in Control matchup thats buffed Jarraxus. I really want to stay away from aggro but I do not have any choice.

Tickatus is in like 4% of decks right now. I do think he'll become a problem next rotation, especially with upgraded jaraxxus running around, but I hardly see him as being the only reason control isn't popular currently.

So, yes - I think Tickatus is frustrating to play against - but he is a pretty heavy hit-or-miss card and has some huge downsides that keep him in check.

Yep. This is my opinion as well.

Clearly this card has been very polarizing, but I feel like most of people's complaints are not about design of the card and the effect on the meta, but more like, "I don't like this effect on my deck, and it happened like once, so it's ruining the entire game."

Out of like 10 games, I might see one warlock, and it may or may not even have Tickatus. So what's the big deal?

I'm sure we'll find out (again) before this thread gets closed. :)

Every Warlock I play against that isn’t Aggro runs Tickatus and they constantly mill at least 20 cards from my deck. I even run C’thun and use double battlecry with Portal Keeper and they still used Tickatus to burn away my whole deck. They played him 4 times in a row. This card is wayyy unbalanced.

I mean, if your opponent has time to play tickatus 4 times before you draw 10-15 cards, they probably could've won the game in any other number of ways. They'd either have to be crazy lucky or you'd have to be doing nothing the whole game for that to happen. I think tickatus will be a problem down the road in any sort of slower or lower-power format, but as of now the card's nothing special.

posted a message on Do you even bother with games against priest?

I've been playing standard renolock, so that matchup's been pretty free so far. If I were playing any sort of low-value deck I would just concede and take the loss, though. Just too unfun for me to bother.
